Twib , some value that for IM
No trades since 10:27, strange …

Hopefully timely expert discussion here. NI speakers on the list.
That valuation is without merit. It is worth nothing until someone makes a firm offer. If IM was worth anything remotely like that figure , we wouldn't be sitting with the current MCAP , nor going thru hoops to get finance sorted.. or paying extortionate rates to Riverstone.
I'd love to see a 100 % sale after court results , pay down a chunk of the debt and avoid dilution via a raise.
As a newbie I have zero interest in IM , didn't invest because of it and would like shot of it to focus on the core business , which I believe has great potential.
Twib ref 11.48 post It would be interesting to know the basis of the valuation. I also note that the article is from August last year so has the value gone up.
"Valued at £450m"
Waiting for that value to be rubber-stamped by the Court of Appeal.

If you look closer, off in the distance, just poking out from behind that middle crane, is also the SeaRose.
A full house. :)
I initially thought that what I was seeing was that following a full Ask SINT trade you would then see a much larger sell trade shortly after. Thought it may have been done to maximise the price acheived for the sell by showing a full Ask purchase first for a smaller amount. And vice versa in the other direction. But after many jargon filled hours looking through various sites and PDFs it seems more to do with pre-trade transparency obligations under MiFID II rules than anything sinister. An SI is an investment firm which executes client orders through its own account on a "frequent, systematic and substantial basis". Investment firms that are classified as an SI must adhere to certain pre- and post-trade transparency requirements.
The basic gist, or what I determined to be, was that they were akin to what normal pi's would do with dummy trades before doing and actual trade. But their dummy trades have to be shown and quite often you will see that they are at either extremes of the spread. IDK, but I'm not sure any of my findings would be any clearer than that or by doing a general search on the subject, tbh. Will have a look later at what I found when I'm back in the house. Although, tbh, maybe Lottie may be better suited to answer questions on the subject. More their field of expertise. :)
Would like to think some sussing out ranges , don't doubt what you say. Looking at the transactions over the last few weeks, it is obvious to me what the range is. I don't expect to see any large trades before finance , would love to be proved wrong and a massssssive buy appear. Would be very very suprised to see massive sells as from my inexperienced viewpoint, there us just not the volume nor interest to buy at this level from PI's . A waiting game.
This from Cruise and Ferry Odyssey will depart on its cruise from Belfast and not Southamton https://www.cruiseandferry.net/articles/refurbishment-begins-on-villa-vie-odyssey-in-belfast
It was a real pleasure to give evidence to the House of Commons Northern Ireland Affairs Committee yesterday on defence spending in NI.
The committee's inquiry follows a report by Royal United Services Institute last summer which found that defence spending in NI is considerably lower than in other nations and regions and that defence spending can help level-up and drive significant industrial growth.
The report cited Harland & Wolff’s £77m investment into Belfast following the award of the FSS contract to Team Resolute as an example of how strategic defence procurement can help drive reindustrialisation and long-term, sustainable job creation.
The investment in technology, infrastructure and people is underpinning the transformation of the yard and will not only support FSS delivery but embed the latest technology across the group to increase our competitiveness in the European market and win new orders across our five markets of defence, commercial, energy, renewables and cruise and ferry.
During PMQs earlier this year, the PM said: “I have seen, with my own visits, the vital role that Northern Ireland is playing through the location of firms like Thales and Harland & Wolff. I am delighted [that we] specifically committed to examining how we can further bolster Northern Ireland’s share of the UK defence sector because it’s another essential pillar of our precious economic union.”
Thank you Si
Ok tks Si D I always assumed they were just simply matching/filling out of buy & sells to complete orders when there was a lack of trading going on; but not something I know anything about t.b.h. any info you have would be appreciated.
They are Systematic Internaliser (SI) trades, Nobby. Have tried to explain them on here in the past. They will show as SINT trades on official LSE trades pages. Will try and dig out the research I did on them later, if it helps. Something about broker trades to establish price ranges for larger trades for their clients. Not small pi trades, fwiw. And not "code" trades between mm's. lol
Can anyone with any knowledge of the trading in AIM explain what all these tiny share transactions are all about? The dealing fees would be greater than the financial value of the trades shown in many cases.
LSE03 ref 21.27 post I note from the article that Norway are also looking for other types of vessels in an ideal world HARL would get the opportunity to build some of these as BAe cannot logistically build all of these.
LSEO3, could harl be involved with this on a sub contract basis as bae at capacity with there yards atm
Really laying out the need for more money to be spent on defence on news this morning
Https://www.naval-technology.com/news/type-26-for-norway-uk-explores-support-for-oslos-future-frigate/?cf-view
Officially disclosing the cooperating parties on 30 April 2024, UK Defence Procurement Minister James Cartlidge stated that the UK Government, Royal Navy, and UK defence prime BAE Systems, designer and manufacturer of the Type 26 anti-submarine warfare frigate, were “working jointly” on ways to support Norway’s future surface combatant requirements
Now you're definitely telling porkies Consuela , Bubbles most certainly has plenty to say on many topics.
The question of apprentices am sure will be sorted as harl quoted was it 200/400 jobs wasn’t it?.
Stokey , yes hope they do get some of that work
Bubble, you've been saying that forever and pretty much nothing else.
