Novartis missed revenue a little, but the stock gained .
GSK is likely as the same. The stock has been punished so bad of late, but like ABBVIE too
...positive right now. holding for at least £16.50.
Well done GSK again, I'm very happy to in this long term.

Trading update due next week followed later by Ex dividend date. I imagine that the trading update will be positive after the Haleon split, new products etc. Are we expecting any surprises about the dividend? The share price has been moving up in recent weeks...will it be buy on rumour and sell on fact?
This is GSK doing exactly what they do best. And Japan is a great place because of the great age to which many live. this drug when finally available there will be appreciated and no doubt will eventually be all over the world. No fast bucks though here!
where have they all gone??. As usual the BS keyboard warriors have melted away
sorry, youv lost me, GROWTH is what i’m in. i don’t invest in high yield stocks as they do t grow. GSK has been clearly a high yield stock for decades.
Driftking27, you ARE part of the Anti-Growth Coalition. I suspected it all along.
What part of comment is from teacher?
Your better in stocks in US. UK have less growth potential ."
"Your better in stocks in US. UK have less growth potential ."
But better spelling, grammar and punctuation potential...
Another ground breaking accomplishment by GSK, with RSV's effectiveness.
Latest add from GSK is for shingles. This is one vaccine that will be making a hell of a lot of money for gsk in the future as it is already.
AMGN up 6.5% on time of this post.
Your better in stocks in US. UK have less growth potential .
Have a look at AMGN, if this fruitloop in Russia does go a step further, then the pills that AMGN produce will be hit property.
As part of long-standing, ongoing efforts to be better prepared to save lives following radiological and nuclear emergencies, the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services is purchasing a supply of the drug Nplate from Amgen USA Inc; Nplate is approved to treat blood cell injuries that accompany acute radiation ...6 days ago
Thanks, Zebbo, I will try to keep up!
My point was more that GSK has for a long time been the poor relation to AZN and I did get out of AZN a while back to take profits and recently the price has fallen to a level at which I might get back in.
It's a bit off-putting when the Fool agrees and I am not so worried about the costs of lawsuits because, as you say, it is a natural hazard they must allow for.
Recently I reduced my GSK holding in favour of HLN because I see more upside to the latter.
ZeBBO & ALLATSEA what other global pharmas have you an interest in?
I have ABBVIE, ASTRA, GILD, JNJ & NVS.
AAS - Mate you need to keep up. Lawsuits are all part and parcel of the industry. History tells you that clearly
GSK not the only ones in trouble:
"Pharmaceutical companies including AstraZeneca could face a $1 billion settlement over US lawsuits involving an old blockbuster stomach acid drug.
AstraZeneca is a defendant in litigation concerning proton-pump inhibitors such as Nexium, which claimants say is responsible for kidney injury."

The Fool, today, rated AZN a 'buy'.
have a read on this article where analysts expect earnings to go and where they have been going..

This webpage perhaps gives a more realistic representation of the current GSK Yield given that its former annual historic payout of 80p has been cut significantly -
https://www.dividenddata.co.uk/dividend-yield.py?epic=GSK
Mudeford, Yes, LSE have simply used the pre-demerger 80p pa and adjusted it based upon the Consolidation adj of sp from 4 to 5 (because share qty fell from 5 to 4 there was no change in total value). A lazy inaccurate approach.
