My pick is Greencore (LSE: GNC), the food-to-go specialist, whose share price plunged on interim results day. The company reported a £7.9m pre-tax loss for the first half, in a business still devastated by the Covid-19 pandemic. The market hated it.
5G is here – and shares of this ‘sleeping giant’ could be a great way for you to potentially profit!
According to one leading industry firm, the 5G boom could create a global industry worth US$12.3 TRILLION out of thin air…
And if you click here we’ll show you something that could be key to unlocking 5G’s full potential...
But Greencore expects to turn things round by the end of the year, and the liquidity is there. If the company can get back to 2019 earnings levels, we’d be looking at a P/E of around nine. I think that’s cheap. I rate Greencore a buy, and I’ve added it to my ISA shortlist.
working from home will become more common even after everything opens up. Pile yourself high on greencore shares if this trend is good for greencore business. Others should think twice

i'll buy back here @120. This won't go anywhere for at little while yet. Has really not recovered at all. The rise to 170 had no substance to it at all!
Coveney knows what he is doing, it is hard not to see this and others like SSP CPG regaining margins and market share, certainly at better than current levels.
That`s a good sign if they are doing their own deliveries. Shows that market demand is rising for their products from smaller shops. Could be the new Greggs if they opened some own product shops.
Due a bounce on reopening. I liked the Essex story too. Oversold this week.

I agree that it is not easy to manage what has gone on as nobody was aware the virus would spread like this and the medical complications it has brought. It`s easy to blame on the Gov but not realy fair and should not be used for political gains from others. We cant keep delaying normality as new mutations will always occur in a virus as it does with flu. Vaccines are the long term solution and as seen, they are working. I wonder what things would have been like when Corbyn was in power, cant say it would have been any better and probably worse given their leadship qualities at the time. Hope we never ever see a Labour leader like Him again.
The government can't win whatever they do, look at some of the papers today
Boris should open everything up, no more lockdowns, Labour saying should start the enquiry now not next year.
OK So we drag all the ministers into rooms now for weeks just talking about what happened a year ago while many now suffering the indian virant and could end up in hospital. I wouldn't want to ba in charge now, who would.
Government have to be very cautious now given the bad publicity over handling the covid panademic. The facts are that herd immunity in the U.K. is very high and that there should be no more lockdowns as more people have resistance to most covid mutations. Panic is the most easily caught symptom and the Gov know this. Which mutation is next or are they going to make one up ? Getting rather tedious and sick of Gov powermongers who enjoy controlling peoples lives.
Yes I think you are right, just shows how sensitive this is to news, but they haven't yet said NO to june 21st so I guess it will pull back no trouble.
Would have been over £ 1.50 Today Today if not for Gov announcement regarding possible delay in easing covid restrictions fully in July. Plus some profit taking from Yesterdays rise. Quite happy to hold this knowing that there will be a steady rise back Northwards.
BARCLAYS CUTS GREENCORE PRICE TARGET TO 190 (200) PENCE - 'OVERWEIGHT'
So plenty of room to grow here
I have a circa 2 year plan i think this has potential moving forward should payout in a decent way come 2023
I guess it depends on when you're wanting to release your investment. I bought back in again on the drop and will look again in a year or 2. They're still investing quite heavily in new factory processes so I'm quite happy to sit and wait. Its not an exciting share but IMO they are the best sort to invest in
I think it was, but I think you might have missed it now, onwards and upwards I hope.
i was thinking around the 140 was a good entry point any views?
I used to have the same problem when I was a kid, sometimes we never learn do we.
jed, looks like you like playing with fire
Come on then what's your view on some others I am in, RR. CNA SAGA
Been reading some of the commentary here with interest. This drop doesn’t surprise me at all. It surprises me how much it rose. I bought in here @88 just before vaccine & sold at 140. The rise to 170 was not warranted. I believe it was fuelled by the reopening excitement. Jed the placing was in January @112. This share will fall back below 130 without any doubt!
Just as well you haven't bought any of these then, but I will give it a few weeks.
Well as far as I can see the sp was about £1- £1-20 before the offer / issue of 80p to raise £90m as normal the sp dropped to about 80p and then due to the strenght of the balance sheet the sp has moved up to what about £1.70.
So it all looks like the issue worked to plan.
How did the equity placing affect the share price in November. 20% more shares were added so did that dilute the share price by 20% for example more shares so the share price should have fell by 20% to stay the same value. Ie day before placing share price £1, Then placing adds more equity so after this the share price is reduced by 20% to 80p? This is based on no sentiment or anything else moving the market but is that what should have happened? 20% equity added meaning share price should have reduced 20%?
Surely we all knew including the city that sales would be down due to the pandemic etc and it should be all building back sales now when things are back open. A bit surprised at the city's big drop but they are only trying to make money on the up-side as normal. It will take a few days to sort it'sself out though.
At least it hasn`t continued the drop for now. Grencore will adjust to market demand very quickly in that lower office worker snack sales will be offset by rising supermarket ready meals. It was pretty obvious that profits were going to be hit during the lockdowns so i can only see an upside here. Wasn`t aware until recently that they are massive in Yorkshire Puddings and are on par with Aunt Bessies. Need to get more people eating Yorkies....
