The same VCP which never qualified and was awarded to the thieving gits anyway
Well it's in the terms of the VCP. A known known.
You tell of yet another reward to JF and Sami !
I’ll throwup putup.
Hi Tom - Bedrock Drilling smacks of Barney Rubble and Fred Flintstone …… perhaps their new TV series could have the two gainfully employed as advisers to GKP ?
Patience Invstrat. Things are ticking along nicely. There's only disappointment when expectations get ahead of reality.
"JF and Sami both collected eyewatering termination bonuses"
And there's another, final, VCP award to come.
The stock remains cheap. My view of fair value is £3.50-4 per share given $85 Brent and 55k bopd production. I'm confident the production target will be hit on time during this quarter. We continue to monetise the CRP and arrears. Buybacks should help provide liquidity to the non-believers and ultimately improve the quality of the share register (less retail). Couple that with good operational performance and, all else being equal, the share price should rise. All without the promises of grossly optimistic takeout valuations and golden crosses. Steady as she goes.
Invstrat, try looking at Bedrock Drilling and the connection to the drilling manager and the current COO. I’ll let you make your own opinion.
Could we not have a whip round among us LTHs and just buy the darned pumps for them - just to get something done around here ?
I remember the procrastinations about which pumps to buy and where to immerse them going on about 5 yrs ago …… even asked one of our junior drilling engineers if she could spec them to help out our ostensibly out-of-their-depth millionaire BoD.
JF and Sami both collected eyewatering termination bonuses and are golfing on fat pensions and basking in their sun drenched villas - but of course they didn’t ever get round to settling the pumps conundrum before retiring.
There has to be sufficient material for a best selling fictional book and a Carry-On film around the level and layers of incompetence surfacing around GKP……. Maybe even a Who-dun-it thriller on International Pilferring and How-to-get-Rich-Kwik without doing porridge.
Yes, but I'm not sure whether the fitting pumps will be RNS'd, unless of course it's included together with a drilling update or as part of a general operational update.
From memory the pumps have been delayed in the past, but are due to be fitted this quarter.

Solarfire, there are four components in the move to 55k, has the other one of ESP work overs been completed?
Using figures from the HYR presentation, looks like they are assuming an average of below 50k for Sep to Dec, even to reach a top average for the year of 44k in the Guidance.
IMO that looks to me like the boost to production from SH 13 & 14 will be offset by losses due to the work overs - otherwise the figures don’t stack up, but this is GKP :)
I would expect the next operation update to confirm the completion of SH-14 which completes the 55k bond expansion programme. Also the spudding of SH-G and submission of the field development plan will be important news releases. So a busy 2 months for the company. All looking good, especially with a strong Brent underpinning our revenues.
Kurdistan was known to be corrupt when the company drilled there and holders bought shares. If someone doesn’t like what it takes to get things through in situations like this then there are Ethical based funds available :)
Someone last year did an analysis of the possible bonuses that could be paid out to management - from memory brace yourself for at least one more.
When it comes to flat lining, suppose it depends on your time scale. For the YTD the Price has risen from 125p to over 200p with 34p of dividends as well. If that is flat lining then bring on a steady rise.
Progress is being made, some of it obvious in terms of production but there are other areas as well in terms of how the PSC is actually operating and the consequences of these changes wrt to side effects on the workings of the CRP and payments etc.
As we appear to be in stalemate with our masters regarding progress and approvals as usual- maybe best to just slip them a few brown envelopes and award our BoD with further bonuses •••••••• ANYTHING to break this interminable flatlined little company’s lack of progress.
TM, " since the last RNS said the connection was imminent. IMO it would only need an update if it hadn’t happened." Thanks for that.
Nobull, since the last RNS said the connection was imminent. IMO it would only need an update if it hadn’t happened.
The removal of a whole chunk of posts is a very frustrating side effect of the beneficial removal of PDC. What surprised me is how long Admin took to do it compared to previous occasions.
I hope the guy who pointed out a pattern on RSI on the unadjusted chart, saw my post about the potential divergence and swing point failure from above 80 on the adjusted one.
What does surprise me is how many posters say their opinions will never be changed by what they read on here - are they just seeking confirmation?
@titan posted an alternative to my Fib extensions, now built into my model.
The guy who posted about his RSI pattern made me look at what it would look like on my charts - for some reason I hadn’t looked, glad I did.
"I see my post has been removed regarding my comments of one of Pauls many identities"
Rhena, I think other perfectly good posts besides yours were also removed simply because it was impossible to remove Xcrutiating's without removing all the posts in the same thread. I don't think it means LSE thought your post broke its posting guidelines. We are well rid of Xcrutiating's posts. Thank goodness there is a decent group of posters here who can call out the posts containing really bad misinformation.
On a different matter, it makes sense from the host country's perspective that we should be forced to extract oil from the most marginal parts of the field - the parts that are high cost to produce from - when oil prices are high if this maximises revenue for the host country. From our point of view, we just want the low hanging fruit first to get as much money out as quickly as possible, so I can see we might not be getting the easiest stuff out of our oil deposit right now as we have to do what the MNR wants, I wonder? So yes, I can see there might be a lot of value that doesn't really show up in CPRs if we only have P2 reserve numbers that relate to the less good, more marginal horizons we are perhaps extracting from now.
No, I can't understand why our company can't release some news on SH-13. I'd have thought if they had been successful, they would be in breach of the listing rules to fail to disclose share price sensitive news. Maybe they need to see sustained flow rates over many days before they can confirm good news. Anyone got any ideas on this?
I see my post has been removed regarding my comments of one of Pauls many identities, i find it ironic that he appears to now been banned because of the false and misinformation regarding the Companies future status, ie sold or being sold, yet my post was arguing this very point!! and was removed, very strange!!.
Talking about misinformation, surrey is jumping up and down using this term about another on a different site, yet he supports and backs Pauls hourly ramblings of the same false content and often expresses the same BS.
I really do find it very hard to understand some people's mental ability in trying to be clever for a few ticks, ah well if it keeps little boy's happy for the day.
I was a little downbeat after watching the last couple of day's price reversal, but i should know by now how investing works, but looking forward to the talk of much higher oil prices, which will help the forward momentum, although just feeling a bit uneasy no news yet on SH13, if this news lands then we should be on our way.
Choo Choo
Makes no odds to me what price we are at today other than what is shows on paper , won't be selling a single share till sold.
Wow, suddenly imagined MA riding around the Forest of Bowland on his motorcycle monitoring people shaking trees.
Next thing was an idea for analysing phrases used by LTH when a share is tanking and they opt to take no action.
Here are a few I can remember from the old iii site, anyone remember any others used there or anywhere else on GKP discussion boards?
It’s only a tree shake…
They are after your shares/golden tickets…
They are driving the price down so that they can accumulate…
It’s the weak (and/or thick) over leveraged traders selling…
The markets took a pounding yesterday and it would reflect on any share.
In the words of mikey (RIP), it’s just another tree shake…
No reason to drop circa 10% in 2 days for a couple of percent drop in poo.
A well deserved one.
Its just a pity ADVFN allow this sort of disinformation campaign to go on for so long.
It would not be tolerated here on LSE. Which is why he only posts on ADVFN.
Wow. That's one hell of a slap down Indrid...Kudos..
tom - can i ask what bigdog has gotten right, like specific non-ambiguous calls that are more than just negative diatribe?
this is the same guy that has said every month for the last 5 years, something "bad" is going to be announced shortly........i think we are still waiting for that.......
do you honestly value the opinion of some one who has posted 25,000 times about a stock (he sold out of years ago at 4p at a massive loss - all the evidence is there in his posts), which is nothing but unsubstantiated, uneducated, inexperienced, bitter negativity?
the faux connections to the city, the pretence he knows the industry and understands the asset, the inability to discuss anything positive (despite alot of good stuff happening recently), plus he conducts himself like a 14 year old on facebook........
i mean if you give credence to anyone (and that goes for the rampers too) that will ONLY discuss one side of the coin, then get outta the stock market quickly boyo!
Surreyscot, can I ask you how you know that? Or is this another one of your projected opinions? I’ve actually noticed that BigDog has gotten a lot right recently.
