Rumour has it GH has passed up the Lamborghini and bought a jcb :-)))
He needs a few carrots with his massive 74m holding. Take a bit on the way is normal,

I agree Mickey - whatever GH has sold "his" shares for is his own business but he won't have done it willy-nilly without considering the consequences & effect it will have had.
I'm sure whatever he has up his sleeve will more than make up for this - his handling of the situation has been exemplary up to now IMO and we can't judge his actions now until things play out a little more.
I'm still sitting on my hands - Paddy
Rest easy troops
Doesn’t concern me
Paddysat to come Saturday, then another Thursday. Along with the Newcrest results .
Patience needed that’s all

Ok so short it then muff lump
GH has been selling shares the last 4 months straight and excising various options along the way including other board members. With all of the hype of drilling results in previous months it does concern when you see the CEO selling and why he would want to if this share is only destined to go one way in many peoples views.
Sorry 27,000,000
Still holds 74,000,000 with options for 24,000,000 so GH has plenty of skin in the game
No problems for me
Isn’t it just the balance thereabouts representing the turn he made on the warrants/options ? And it might be the last close or news period opportunity he has to realise a few hundred £k cash for a while . If so that’s the interesting aspect of this !
GH worth every penny!
Would that we all had a crystal ball!!...but we don't and the fact as has been pointed out here, that it is minimal comparative to his holding, is the positive take-away surely?
I agree with some others here that GH times things impeccably for reasons known later on. He knows how to pick his timing. I suspect it is as simple as that
Loggy, good point and what is more he has only sold around 2.7% of his holding and not materail to his commitment here.
GH bought about 2 million in March when the markets were hit by Covid etc and the share price was about 2.77p
That was a big positive at the time. It's a handsome profit on those, whatever the reasons!
Sold into strength - gold at an all time high - therefore the market takes it in its stride. My guess is that he has so much tied up here he is grabbing the cash to buy other assets whilst there are forced sellers around .
"What is the reason though?"
Maybe he wanted to buy some toothpaste.
If I had as many shares as he has, I'd be top-slicing occasionally, too.
Heddle's selling isn't indiscriminate. There's method at work. I do believe once these feckin' options and warrants are out of the way the price should behave in a more reflective manner. These instruments of dilution are vital for small explorers but they can temporarily warp the market
I could be wrong but I guess it would be pretty bad form to sell his shares the moment good news is released. Selling while the sp is having a 'quiet time' seems quite gentlemanly to me and yes...possibly heralds a juicy RNS within the next few days.
"If he bought before good news it would be classed as insider dealing or within a closed period similarly if he sold before bad, here he sold before we expect to be good news in NCM next release next Friday. Any thoughts from the more informed here?"
News can be "good" or "bad" in the eyes of the beholder. Is it "good news" if we get an MRE of 6 moz (YES, we have an MRE! Do you know how much 6 moz is worth?) or "bad news" (YES, that's horrible! I was expecting 10 moz). Who is right?
So you can't distinguish between good and bad news for the purpose of the rules.
If GH were in possession of news that would be likely to have a material impact on SP, he could not deal. So that means he doesn't have knowledge that drilling has started at Scallywag. He doesn't have certain knowledge that the sulphide zone extends all the way to the edge of the tenement, or that it is now closed at depth, or that NCM has been fabricating all the drilling results and there's no gold at all, or that we have billions of pounds worth of cobalt elsewhere, or that Hav has so much Cu that the AISC will be negative. He doesn't know any of that stuff. He may expect to know something tomorrow or the next day but he didn't know it when he sold those shares.
So pretty much, this tells us there was no major news he was holding back at the time he sold them. He might have major news ready to drop tomorrow morning, of course.
I am inclined to agree that he's selling before a closed period prevents him, but I don't like the timing much. I'm still holding.
Shouldn't be selling shares when the SP is in a basically dormant phase, simples.
GLA
He's probably got the first 200 metres of Scallywag assays on his desk right now and acted on TmT's advice to make it pincushion
I agree, it does not matter one iota. Had he sold all, or the greater part, of his remaining 74m then that would have been of some concern. It is an insignificant amount of his total holding. No probs IMO. Stay Safe.
Let's wish him well and hope he enjoys spending some of his hard earned gains
GGP with the help of some of the incredibly hardworking posters on this board have turned my SIPP into a pot that I can retire on.
so thanks Gervaise, Paddy and all the top contributors from a very happy investor
What is the reason though?
It seems like an odd time to sell.
