And if he were to exercise the rest of his options, what percentage would that add to his holding - more food for thought and nothing other than positive! IMHO
If I sold 8% of my shares, I'd still have 92% left! Food for thought indeed.
Come on Dave. What's 7.99999999% between friends?
hahaha @mushroomkid - In fact GH has sold just over 8% of his holding since 23-24th July - love your enthusiasm though! ALB
Obviously any time a CEO or any company director chooses to sell shares it will be perceived as negative. I'd obviously rather see him not sell and buy more. However, he has in fact made quite a few purchases over the course of the year alongside Mr Baxter. He has exercised options, driven share price value up hugely and provided lots of value so far so quite frankly if he wants that £338,000 to treat himself, ffs let him have it XD

Precisely! There will be a drinks bill to foot and it didn't escape my attention Tig that you were £30 out of pocket last time. GH is probably coming over to redress that together with giving a breakdown of all the bills he paid to justify the audacious sale of 0.0000001% of his shares. We shareholders must be appeased!
In the meantime, I'm going to have a pint to drown my sorrows having seen the sp plummet by 0.1p today.
threeturn,
Totally brilliant true post.
I've spent 20yrs running a one man survival business to keep the wolf from the door managing to put the odd dribs and drabs into GGP from 0.28p upwards (2016) as often as I could as I had absolute confidence in GH. Sometimes needs must and I have to sell a few But the comparative recent rises have been astonishing and far surpass what I could make by myself thanks to the skill and dedication of GH and his team. I think he has also lived the dream, agonies and frustrations that all long term PIs have undergone in relation t to this share and his belief is unshaken. I dare not think where this share will be in 10yrs time, but, in whatever form it will be worth a lot of money. Keep the faith.
So in fact GH has sold over 6m shares ave price over 14p since I think 23-24th July (two announcements) after exercising his 5m options @2pence - so he has reduced his holdings by approx 1.2m shares -still holding 70m shares plus his unexercised options. In private companies shareholders take dividends regularly and there is nothing wrong with that just as there is nothing wrong for a director to sell some shares in a fast growing PLC .....anyway my point is everyone has their own personal cashflow requirements and GH is no different. He still has shares worth just under £10m and I'm pretty sure his investment will be worth £50m before he exits. ALB
I share the wish to get more positive news officially declared in RNSs, and I’ve been mulling over why people need constant reassurance. After all, money for most is not abundant and if like me you send yourself off to sleep at night imagining how it might feel to see it reach 18p/24p/30p then the sooner you get official RNS or broker notes the easier you sleep.
It’s still true to say that investors take the long view and traders need the daily stroking. No judgement in that BTW.
The rather excitable gang that latch on to the 64p/74p predictions share the same dream as me. I’m an investor in GGP and want and need that price probably more than most.
I look at Google Finance on average every 15 mins which is nuts. But I firmly believe every report we read and all the signposting by analysts to NC having a special resource in Havieron gives me all the belief I need until RNSs back it up.
So prices will go down and up. It may take the rest of 2020 to get to MRE etc (no news in that) so if you’re twitchy the psychology must be to wait for up to 4 months. (Up to 4 months NB, might be earlier). It’s also an evidence based share, so when a broker note says 21p it will move up. Daily angst wont move the SP.
In summary, whilst I impatiently want great news yesterday, waiting a while will be worth it. Please don’t leap to disappointment if we ‘only’ get a MRE saying 6-7Moz. That is a triumph, and just first base.
I’m here until the end of 2021 at least. Lots of sleeps, true, but lots of lovely dreaming until then. ATB.
Thanks Paddy, I must look harder next time :)
Thanks again GL
@Fc1865 - If you look in the annual financial report on the GGP website it says in the notes that all employee options vest immediately on a change of control - so if there were to be a buyout or takeover then all the employees could exercise their options and get the corresponding shares. That's why Jerryspaniel uses the fully diluted figure of about 4.2B shares as all the options and warrants are so far in the money that they will all be exercised at some point before they expire.
ATB - Paddy
Perhaps GH has a tax bill to pay due to his option profits. Makes sense.
Probably just found a new yatch or something!
Thanks Tigg, i just didn't understand how it works, no intention of letting any of my shares go for a while yet, just trying to get a bit more educated on how it all works.
GLA.
Thank you Tig, reassurances like yours certainly help me when deciding what to do. It's quite surprising how one gets a feeling for certain posters quite quickly as to their opinions. You and Paddy are good for getting me back on the straight and narrow. As is Mush, but in a very different way. Holding for now.

FC 1865, - remember that until the company is sold- (which it won't be ) - GH is the CEO, and is free to exercise options as he wishes within the issued terms of those options. Options are generally an individuals reward for meeting targets or acheivements within the operation of the company. So he is free to do as he sees best , within the regulatory regime that applies.
For GH this is a peanut deal - I see it as a preparatory wallet fill prior to visiting Godalming to meet myself , Panama ,Fred16 and Jerry Spaniel. ( Oh!! and possibly Speedy if he is prepared to behave .
himself ) .
I do not understand what all the unresearched, paniccy, unsupported , disjointed , crass hypothesising is all about. It would take me an hour to list ( already scribed by some of our more learned posters ) the reasons why this company exists and where it is going to be by Xmas.
Sit on Paddys hands , and be patient.
Tig
If GH wants to take some money then all the best to him. I have made a serious packet on here thanks to his expertise and careful management of the company...why shouldn't he be rewarded for helping me and many other LTH's achieve that? As well as investing, I have also run my own sizeable business and over the last 20 years, and have taken money out. It's my reward for putting heart and soul into it, growing the business and increasing it's value and it's bloody well deserved. No-one says you have to wait until the "very end" to take money out...because unless a company like this is bought out...good, well run companies have no "end", they carry on growing and delivering for their shareholders. Give the man a pat on the back for what he has achieved here and say "well deserved GH"...it's spectacular and will continue to be so.
What would happen to al GH options if we had an offer to buy GGP, does he lose the options or do they get converted. Thanks in advance.

It's a week ago now that Peter O'Connor of Shaw and Partners announced he had written a very upbeat report on Greatland Gold. I suspect it's been proof checked by his peers by now and a broker upgrade is imminent and could very well be the reason.
I see that there is some more nonsense talked about options and warrants, probably designed to test my BP. I cant be bothered to explain the errors of their ways.
Speedy, I have stopped back into my silver position. I have seen the errors of my ways. I wont do it again!
My thoughts exactly 40-50% balls up on their part.
I wonder if they have made any on the
Reinvestment of the 1 mill of quid they realised. Could have been 1.5 mill.
Great move by them lol
mufcm
prim sold for an average of 10p per share so not a clever move was it
