With every stage they progress, newcrest diminish GGPs licence holding and will end up with 70%. Sure there's the likelihood of a 5% cash payout at fair market value maybe by year end, but it's likely they'll be able to go ahead without having input from GGP as they'll be a minority shareholder and just have to suck up dividends albeit it'll be a cash cow.
greedo 76 - I would be very interested to know how you ever thought GGP were ever going to raise the finance to carry out this drilling at HAV. This is a great farm in deal.
I never thought it, I just didn't think that the interest would diminish as much as 75%
Takeover still feasible as NCM would the acquire the other prospects eg Scallywag which GGP say has similar characteristics to Hav. NCM once owned Hav and sold it so I am certain they now trust GGPs 3D analysis
I don't see what's in it for NCM. They want the full leverage from Havieron to give Telfer (one of NCM's main earners) renewed life. the last thing NCM want is p-ssing around paying out cash to GGP.
Why not greedo - it's been there in black & white for all to see since the farm-in was signed over a year ago. It shouldn't really come as a surprise to any investors here.
GLA - Paddy
I am sure some on here won't even wait until next update before selling and moaning about a takeover is pointless as its just another scenario that may not happen.
Whilst I'm hoping for a large cash payout on a T/O bid for Hav (25p +) personally I'd be just as happy with us holding onto our 30% and receiving a regular annual dividend north of 2pper share!?
Either way we'll be in the money! (IMHO)
GLALTHs :-)
If GGP keep 30% they'll need to find 30% of the capital costs of bringing Havieron to production...that level of dilution in whatever form is deleterious and if there's one thing you can be sure of with mining projects, the final cost will always be above budget, ALWAYS.
Show us the money Newcrest
Schlemiel, perhaps the CAPEX of building the mine is the primary reason for Newcrest buying a further 5% at market value. Should just about cover it! As the saying goes, give a man a fish and hell eat for a day give him a fishing rod and he will eat forever! Revenue generation is king to explore the other targets and build valu
Hi Schlemeil. Have you any ideas on the capex to bring HAV into production would be. With 30/25% of a gold mine with proven reserves and a major as a partner would it not be quite a simple task to raise finance at a very reasonable rate? ATB Speedy
...build value.
If you want divis sell a percentage of your stock of buy divi shares.
GLA keep the faith and patience
Completely agree Lookingat. Dividends are for companies who are ex growth.
And as for Greedo! What can I say, boy there are some really ignorant people on this board sometimes. Which I suppose is great, because we all need people to do and say stupid things for us to make money. Like the person who sold today at 4p.
Some on here want GGP to take it to production. I want a fat cash payment from either a full takeover of GGP equity or special divvies from selling off % of GGP licences. What will eventually happen? No idea!
Nice to throw a grenade in the room to push out what some really think. As for JS, I think he'd be better calling himself Jerry Springer
Well you got something right greedo!! Well done.
Jerry is a welsh springer spaniel.
I suspect he can read the farm in document better than you.....
I didn't read the farm in doc Springer
You don’t say greedo. Well I am shocked.
But you still had an opinion about the farm in. You must be some kind of investor. I would love to have the other side of your trades....
Some people get filtered cos of rudeness, some for off topic discussion, some for ramping and now one for crass stupidity. Bye greedo.
Hi Guys.
Sorry to ‘cross thread’ but did anyone determine what caused the substantial end of day step up?
