We’ve been bouncing along in a “fairly tight tube” for about three months, now. I must admit that I haven’t done much snooping around this one for a while [although I still do have a substantial holding]. It’s got to break out fairly soon – preferably upwards. I know that I’ve bleated on about this many times, but I do wish that the company would be more forthcoming with news – ANY news! ATB
This also will have an effect on the sp moving north along with a takeover of SRO which Griffin own around 40% so i can only see this moving up, IMHO OM OM
Things edging north as i hoped, this has a long way to go IMHO but there will be pull backs along the way as some people take profit. I held these when they were well over £1 and that was without the SRO connection and no were near a permit for mining the gold concentrate. The permit we are led to believe should be issued this year and presumed to be Autumn timE. I think the sp will rise through out the year and the permit will be priced in for when it is issued.I then think there will be a pull back on sp until confirmation of the gold levels being mined are confirmed which should then see another rally. This is only my own thoughts on what will happen, and i see this as a strong buy over the next few months, but DYOR please. OM
a lot of chat on other sites re takeover GFM ar worth a great deal more than the 30 odd pence What would be a reasonable offer to investors Over £1 in my opinion
Alot of buys today given normal days trading with griffin. Anyone topped up? whats your thoughts/ i think that there will be some news soon and hopefully good news...IMHO Om
Saturdays Times.page 57 also- Industry chatter has it that China Minmetals, the state-owned miner that bought Oz Minerals’ Australian mines for $1.3 billion (£802 million) last month, is eyeing a bid for Griffin Mining, steady at 33¼p, which, aside from a Chinese zinc mine, has a 39 per cent holding in Spitfire Oil, up 3p to 19p. Spitfire owns technology that can convert coal deposits to oil. posted on Adfvn no references - reason for the dual broker?
If your going to put Chines are looking to buy GFM you have to post where you heard it.
Rumor has it that Chines are looking at buying griffin? Think will top up again On monday...
You have got to be joking unless you know something i dont? The world recession will always at times drive mining sp's to drop if there is bad news but i look at this as a buying opportunity to average down my shares. I feel that there is some good news around the corner from the mine which along with good news globally which should propel this northwards. IMHO I am into this for over 250k shares so yes i have a vested interest and want it to do well. But again there is little downside to this company given its balance sheets etc.
Why
The recent sp i hope is based on some impending news? over due a bit of this......
The sells on here are wrong, mine has gone through as a sell and it was actually a buy? looks like selftrade who i use have better spread. This has to go up from here cant really see anything to retrace.Any thoughts?
The mine is nearly back to levels last mined.Comany has got down to levels where gold is but cannot go further until a license is granted. This maybe granted before year end but could be sooner than later. Info from personal contact in Cayjing and confirmed also from within GFM I see this as a buy and feel the sp will soar once license granted, also very interesting link to SPO. Ican honestly only see upside but there again who knows whats round corner...DYOR i have substantial shares already but will be topping up...OM
here, just read back to the start of the year interesting stuff GLA
I personally feel and this is no ramp but MHO that after studying various charts etc and the fact that SPO which griffin own 38% of has just risen 25% the price movement of this share will increase to around 48-50p before end of July beg Sept.Unless unforseen problem with mine SPO etc. DYOR but think i will move a bit more into here. OM
Para b you are spot on. I have shares in many companies and communicate with many GFM are a disgrace You are lucky if you even get a response
I’m not into charts, but if it helps – fine! I am expecting some more positive movement, here. My main grip is the company’s lack of communication.
The Agm is today 'friday' 2p does seem the usual spread with this one, your chart interpretation is interesting i think i'll spend a little time and take a closer look today. I have held 2k since 28p and topped up again at 38p week before mining re started on 1st of june, i did expect the sp to rise more than it did on the good news that it had actualy re opend, but obviously that wasalready in the price which surprised did me a little as GFM had originaly announced it was going to open at the begining of april which it failed to do. I am still holding as i dont want to mis the next push north which imo will come soon. GL
Cant believe sellers with this share,do they not do any research? with the link to SPO etc and an update soon from the mine ,this share has huge potential.....Mho
... :)
Yes they nearly went to the wall but they have 1.6 billion in cash.....could be as they say they are always looking to expand...
“Rumours in the market suggest Griffin Mining may be coming onto the radar screen of Vancouver-based Teck mining group. Shares in Griffin Mining rose 11/4p or 3.3 per cent to 39p with punters suggesting its tidy little cash pile might be half the attraction. It might be worth treating this one with caution, however, given that Teck nearly went to the wall earlier this year.”
Proceed with caution but Griffin maybe a take over target says the paper.......
...back in the forties again. I just hope that it continues!
