cant believe this company hasn't been spotted by another bigger company its shares are so cheap and the business is cash rich with good mining assets in a safe environment and they recently found gold seriously undervalued imo as always dyor
Held these last year managed to get out before they dropped. Looking to buy back my previous shares and hope for a steady rise like i got from them over 4years previous!!

....so says I.C. Summary: “Admittedly, the shares remain well below our original buy (105p, 31 August 2007). But strip out the cash pile worth 22p a share, and the share price doesn’t do justice to the fact that the zinc price has recovered from its early 2009 low - which should mean a respectable second half for Griffin.”
.....seem to have gone down reasonably well. :)
..their very healthy cash balance. They also seem to be doing a good job in streamlining their operations
“Shares in Griffin Mining dropped by 3.25p to 35.5p as the group announced its results for the six months to 30th June 2009. Operations were suspended for most of this period at Caijiaying, which showed a pre-tax loss of 1.35 million dollars compared to a profit in the first six months to 30th June 2008 of 13 million dollars. Operations were suspended at Caijiaying from January to may at the beginning of this year inclusive to allow for upgrade and maintenance work. 48,129 tonnes of low grade ore were processed in the first two months of 2009 from stockpiles mined and hauled in 2008. 33,152 tonnes of ore was processed in June following the recommencement of operations. In light of the fall in commodity prices in 2008/2009, a comprehensive review of costs and procedures was undertaken during the suspension of operations with a view to see if it was possible to further reduce the already low operating costs at Caijiaying. This included the opportunity to renegotiate terms with contractors and to retrench superfluous personnel. As at 30th June 2009 the company held cash balances of 64.5 million dollars. "These results, for the first six months of 2009 were to be expected considering Caijiaying was shut down during most of the reporting period. Much has been achieved in the first six months of 2009 to improve operations at Caijiaying," stated Chairman Mladen Ninkov.”
:) Not before time. Virtually back in proft - It's taken a while! So holding on for now.

Yes. That is good news. No a massive amount, but at least acquiring, and not disposing, by BlackRock Inc. Link: http://www.investegate.co.uk/Article.aspx?id=200908211756428625X

...forget Bernanke -- he should be shot!!
Nice to see Spitfire up 21.6% today. I guess that was part of the reason for that spike today. Not to mention Bernanke's speech today! Looks like the markets reacted well. Let's hope it continues like this on Monday...
..don't blame you, mate. It's a good spike up, today. I'm hoping for much more upward momentum. ATB
Sorry guys but i have reduced by 100,000 shares today but aim to get back in later.. OM
No idea why! Don’t suppose the management will elucidate! :)
Can't see any reason for rise Any info?
It's just a matter of time now till the US dollar weakens even further. That's the only thing now that will push this share price higher, besides a short term market rally and some positive news on the company!!!
They say, No news is Good news, so lets just sit back and wait... Sooner or later we'll see a breakout ! Hopefully skywards !!!
INVESTEC have put GFM on a target price of 42p so it is nice to hear the big boys see this as a BUY.DYOR of course but i am very confident these shars will be one that shines this next 12 months.SRO scenario is still been played and Grif hold 42% of shares in them.... OM
opinion is results are going to be poor due to closure etc I fully expected this but the board are a disgrace when it comes to informing shareholders. You don't even ger a reply when you contact them
