Bought some more at the close - 37.1p - sp fallen a third in less than two weeks since those 3 big new issues at average 55p....sentiment is shattered and with sp now at discount instead of premium to NAV, buying here seems a decent level. small number of transactions can move this down rapidly - but reverse is true too. If this is forerunner of wider markets, gonna be a blood bath if retail is holding on margin.
Surprised to see this for 37-38p on the open market. I had funds ready for something else but had to add here at this price.
Got to be a bottom around here, somewhere.
Nice big move down and another top up.
Strap in folks!!
Not sure when the money will get invested but landed well actually as next few months may be a great time for the fund. Exercise price next year gone up to 51 pence
i awaiting and risking a global downturn later this year with which then to buy into, i really like this share, believe in uraniums overall story but i dont have the understand nor knowledge to invest in individual businesses
Imho oversold and gt opportunity to build a stake at a sensible low risk price. I think sp hit by 4 times whammy:
c6 p dilution from 38p new shares issued,
Pi's selling their 38p shares
Market is "off" generally
plus new uranium ETF about to launch which offers alternative and likely to narrow the premium GCL has been trading at.
Having said that I reckon fair value currently at least 50 -55 p plus so I've been topping up this morning.
Those institutions & High Wealth investors who bought over 2 million new shares last month at average 68p ( net say 62p after dilution) look out of the money atm but I think they knew what they were doing and I expect this to rerate over next few months when 47p will look a gift horse.
Looks like I will get a top up sooner than expected.
yes agree would think so, i will then stabilise and move appropriate to uranium. its gone ex divi, i sold the equivalent i bought at around 56 plus more higher over the last few weeks and rest being kept, says we will get 75% of what we applied for
I think it could be a lot of holders selling there new subscription shares before they go below the rate they bought them
Ok, I admit it: I really don’t understand what has caused the sharp pullback in the last three weeks. If anything, I’d have expected the opposite given the murderous scumbag in Moscow. Can anyone kindly assist? I’d be most grateful.
They way things are going we'll soon be as low if not lower than the subscription share price. Is there any sector than can buck the current bearish trend of the markets?
Bought in today.
Been holding YCA just under a year and wanted to diversify in the sector.
I'm sure this BB will become more active in the coming months and years.
i'd have thought its subscription related, ie gone ex divi. everyone has there approved allocation, they know its at 37 p so in essance you could now sell the same amount and realise the gain??
i bought 20k shares under subscription and sold 10k today at 56
Presumably the drop is related to uranium becoming part of the EU sanctions package, though there may be other factors that I'm unaware of.
So, is this bonus issue the reason for today's 15% drop? Does anyone know?
Likewise full allocation debited for
On the 28th my broker debited my account for my full allocation which i had applied for, guess we'll know for sure on Tuesday.
I have had a line added for my full allocation in HL today
Hi unvrkw, how likely is it do you think for point 2 to actually happen?
I've just caught up with this but got onto HL after noon so have missed the boat, even though it doesnt happen till the 29th! Damn. Just need a black hole to come and swallow me up now!
Thanks for the replies. I also received a reply from my broker today:
"We advise the the priority offer has been cancelled and replaced by a bonus issue, the details of which are available on your corporate actions page"
And I can indeed sign up for the bonus issue, so all is good
Thanks MrG... I've found the corporate action now and duely applied for as many as I can. Not sure why i missed the email but thats another problem :-)
I’ve ordered my entitlement, this is now out
1. The company is limiting the number of new shares issued to the equivalent of Euro 8 million. This means they don’t have to produce a prospectus for the offer but does mean you are not guaranteed to receive all the shares you apply for. The company has estimated that, if the offer had completed on 25 March and all holders applied for their maximum 1 for 5 entitlement, holders would have received approximately 79% of the shares they applied for.
2. If you do not take up your entitlement in full you may receive a cash payment for lapsed entitlements. There is no guarantee this will happen, but if it does you would receive approximately the difference between the market price of Geiger Counter shortly after the offer completes, less the 37.84p cost.
All other information in our message dated 19 April remains unchanged and you still have until noon on Wednesday 27 April to add or amend an application.
UNVRKW I'm with HL thats your que to order the shares. Their should be a dark blue icon to the right of your GCL shares on your portfolio. If you click that you can confirm you want to take part in the offer.
