Excellent news.....Total will be drilling Venus 1 in the coming months, game on!
Currently if there are negotiations with Seapulse and Maersk....... where are they going to drill ? Potentially two wells are off the table in PEL71 and PEL44. That leaves PEL30 Osprey and one other ? if they are to drill two initial wells in Namibia as per their previous plan.
If Osprey came in it would de-risk the shallower targets to the east in our block 94. If it didn't it would probably indicate oil that had migrated as per Cormorant, so could also be seen as a win. If it showed nothing at all it still would not impact Welwitschia Deep. If WD was "the one other" combined with Osprey it would offer two completely different plays, each with follow on targets, de-risking prospects in adjacent blocks. Osprey and WD are my guess for the next two wells to be spud in the Walvis Basin
Indeed great news re: Voyager, but we may have our own news well before the Venus spud
What an intriguing situation we now have in offshore Namibia, Total will be drilling in the near future so oil companies who do not have Namibian acreage have a dilemma, do they negotiate a farm in now with an existing license holder or do they leave it until Total have finished drilling Venus 1? What if Total hit a commercial oil?
In the meantime, the Directors of this microcap, sit & wait for events to unfold.....it has been a long & at times a frustrating "road", well done I say to the Peters for getting Global Petroleum in to this fantastic position.
GLA.
Missed this one......
Just been looking at a profile which connected PGS with Seacrest Capital. Here is a random link with the connection
PGS have 45% interest in Azimuth.....see slide 26 and 27 at a cost of $74m
https://www.pgs.com/contentassets/da6014fb49c044d19d789cb5f68b85da/q1-2016-presentation.pdf
You can now see a motivation for PGS vessels running a survey over PEL94 at the the end of 2019 and start of 2020........things adding up ???
“The Osprey prospect is a toe of slope sand-filled submarine fan/lobe(s), which is sealed by lateral stratigraphic & updip pinch-out of the reservoir. The prospect covers 170km2 and is Albian in age. It overlies the main Aptian source rock which is calculated to be oil mature (proven by the Murombe well to the south).“
A lateral stratigraphic trap pinching out to an updip tip.. sounds like the perfect recipe for lateral migration as per Cormorant. I just can’t see it being drilled with the information learnt from Cormorant. If they really want to drill a stratigraphic trap they would be better off with our Marula as that pinches against the Welwitchia structure itself, I believe our board made a point of this for a reason.
And of course It could be targeted along side Welwitchia deep. 1 drill almost a billion barrels where 3 drills would be required in PEL 30 to meet the same volumes.
Indeed, you may well be right, but the risk would be shared with Eco if they were to participate. We are getting closer to finding out imo
Earlier this month TGS put a $600m bid for PGS, which PGS have declined so far
https://www.pgs.com/investor-relations/ir-news-stock-announcements/tgs-offers-to-acquire-pgs-multiclient-library/
I wonder how much of that valuation is attributed to the 45% holding PGS have in Azimuth ? and do they see upside in that 45%
Almost zero value would have been assigned to PGS' 45% share of Azimuth. So far, PGS has wasted well over $140m on Azimuth by contributing 3D surveys and Multiclient data. That $140m figure is the amount that PGS has already WRITTEN OFF and it is extracted directly from PGS annual reports. At this stage in time, Azimuth isn't worth much more than GBP.
TGS is not bidding to buy PGS, they are just bidding to buy PGS' multi-client library. They want the legacy data, not the big expensive custom ships.
More fake news from AO aka Geowhiz aka Perrystalsis
Interesting how you get "UPSET" with anything Azimuth/Azinam, must be hitting a sore point for some reason
Got a link to the $140m spend ?
Geowhizz,Africa Observer,Perrystalsis all the same person
Funny how your punctuation is the same and the narrative is the same and use the same wording
It is very difficult to pretend to be three separate people without it being obvious
Another point is all three names have very few posts registered over the life of the accounts, which means you probably have many more names, being used. On the current usage all three accounts should be well over the current level
Geowhiz started 2018, just 121 posts...20 in the last 30 days and 11 on GBP
Africa Observer started 2012, just 51 posts...... 38 in the last 30 days and 35 on GBP
Perrystalsis started in 2017, just 260 posts......1 in the last 30 days on GBP, many more on GBP previous to this date
Every single post has been negative and disruptive, what a sad assistance you have
Funny little thing you are, Jim. So emotional...so irrational.
I don't know these other people to whom you refer. I think your paranoid, delusional little ramper's mind is jumping at shadows.
If you read my posts you'll see that they have been balanced. I agree that GBP has great potential and I calmly suggest that a farm out is there most likely route forward. I do sincerely hope they succeed. On the other hand, I don't agree with your merger/RTO assertions, but when I disagree with you I do so politely and factually.
Try to rise to the occasion, if you can.
More drivel from Geowiz aka Africa Observer aka Perrystalsis aka Pottyp who has recently started to de-ramp the TRP thread.......pathetic ;-))
