Not me, I'm the Pope.
As the book is about gangsters, it could be that they were talking about protection in terms of a protection racket - e.g. "give us 15 million and we'll - er - protect your business from being damaged" (as in blown up, or suffering other nefarious activity).
Not me, how weird is that though its in a book from years ago, begs the question on info online, research etc and my thoughts have been can I actually trust this information?
Still keeping the faith on share coming good
So Gerald Symour coul be an Investor with FFR! Which one of you is Gerald
I know it's not me ... Is it Coggy?
Coggy, no it just says 15 million, that is what I thought, not a lot
Security for the oil drilling even, as the drilling platforms are mobile and can be stolen.
I read it as 15 million dollars for the security contract? Not the value of the field.
Quite amazing

He shook his head. It was a decent restaurant, close to his office, and it was usual for him to bring prospective clients here, and convenient—halfway on foot between Grosvenor Square and Berkeley Square—for most. He asked his guest, who would be talking detail in a contract for the security of an oil-drilling programme in Georgia’s Taribani Field, zone fourteen in block twelve, which could be worth fifteen million American dollars over ten years, to select a wine and choose from the menu for both of them. He apologised for having been distracted by the call.
Do you mean 15 billion over ten years plaster?
I was reading my book last night when I came accross this. the book is the collaborator by gerald seymour, about the mafia clans in Naples, published in 2010, this is from the book. for most, he asked his guest, who would be talking in detail for the security of an oil- drilling programme in Georgias Taribani Field, zone 14 in block 12, which could be worth 15 million american dollars over 10 years. i cannot get my head round all the oil companies he came up with ours.
Lifeishard, " Laughter is the best medicine " and off we go . Another 10 years.
My prediction for HL was spot on. Experts bought at 1350 when I advised to sell.
Opportunity missed for my on-line account is still blocked and I am expected to
find a trustworthy solicitor , NO WIN / NO FEE, to help me.
Lovely lady Mapp, thats a great write up, I near peed my pants at the “ living with old folks one” very funny. great you still have humour, You know positive is much better than negative, good is better than evil.
I rolled my dice on research, as I do with most of my shares, only thing worrying is the things we research online, are they actually true?? I looked to a point of even checking out our leaders back ground and thats what hells keeps my hopes alive, I believe our leader comes from very good stock, no one mislead myself down this path , me and me alone, l hope that will pay off in the near future? If not , lesson learned, sell every share you have that may hit 250/300% rise, mine did with our company, thinking it would much much higher stopped me.

Lifeishard is another investor living in hope when a situation looks hopeless.
Sensible investors are misled and the elderly are expected to die. I am surrounded by
old folks who think a share is something to sit on. FRR is a chair stuck in the mud ?
"Where there is muck there is money." We may be lucky. Keep smiling.
If there is a chance of anything in our favour @rsenal221 ( which I believe there is ) then am happy to hope I’am still around in a year to finally put this saga to bed! will miss this board weirdly but would be happy we all get closure, with luck and a very determined legal team fighting for us that is, paid by whom??? Then this Christmas present we were promised so long ago might actually happen??

Will add that cannot see anybody having any faith in Frr going into full on production & by that I mean into the high 1000s of bopd not the 2/300, as of before. Then there still is the gas side of production.
Have said few times that if there is a chance of a sale then let's seriously hope that it happens over next year.
Jv123 - seems you have asked and also answered your own question. It is certainly a possibility.
Looed - why on earth would GOGC and GGov enter into any production agreement with FRR at the helm ?? They had 20 years to deliver and failed. Their reputation is in tatters.
If they can still retain the rights to the 1% of B12, then I hope, for everyone’s sake, they sell it on. I would be surprised if that wasn’t already agreed - should they ever manage to sort out all the litigation.
WHamBoy - I know you were asking about this in relation to a potential sale of whatever is left, but you should keep a very open mind to potential outcomes here. Not sure where this "sale" idea comes from but there has been no indication that a sale is under consideration / on the table though you could rightly argue that this type of thing might not be in the public domain.
It is very possible that should they conclude litigation and negotiations we might find out that reality has been staring us in the face all along -
"Frontera Resources Corporation is a privately held independent Houston-based international oil and gas exploration and production company whose strategy is to identify opportunities and operate in emerging markets in Eastern Europe around the Black Sea and the United States."
Thats description is on the website, its how the refer to the company in press releases and is exactly how the company is described in court filings, letters between FRC and state agencies and so on. A sale is not impossible, but nor is it inevitable.
This is the FRC counter-claim, not the original case in which the court found in favor of YA and in which FRC recently motioned the court for a new trial.
In this new, FRC-driven case, YA have filed a General Denial in response to the FRC petition, so kicking the ball back to FRC.
Filing a General Denial is a common tactic and has been used a few times by FRC in cases in which it found itself Defendant.
Thanks Looed. That was the kind of nuanced response I was hoping for.😀
JV very well put & agree
Lifeishard – quick reply as late night for me.
The recent FRC motion is bare-bones at best but, as I said in my original post revealing this development, perhaps the quoted case is all that is required. We must hope the outside legal counsel know what they are doing in this matter because to date, YA have prevailed.
Either FRC come back and put more meat on the bones, the court deny the request and we move to the appeal process, and / or the company focuses on FRC v YA which is still in its nascent stage.
I think this is (another!) delaying tactic by FRC (as admitted in the original motion) so lets see if the court bites or they have to try something else.
Looed,
Surely as the Old Republic Ins. Co. v. Scott, in good old rooten tooten Texas “ it’s a matter of right “
Our leader “S”aint “N”ick has stated in comms through yourself and JimSlade,
SN and the “new management team have chartered carefully a course of return to business, a fully funded to date” now folks, call me optimistic here, reading that sung out either SN is fully paying this ( why..? ) or him and “new” management are??possibly long pockets as well coming onboard with our company as they know what’s in the ground.?
I for one have never given up on this share of ours, for me this is small signals to us, words like
“methodically going through the process, the necessity for strategic confidentiality relating to legal proceedings, and that they expect to communicate with us fully once these actions come to conclusion”
Keep the faith folks, as “all things are bright and beautiful all companies great and small
