Hi bugsy-b, good to hear from you. Hope all is well.
Bugsy
Great memory
There is still doubt on what will happen, but let's hope that sometime over next few months we will know one way or other.
****nal, i remember saying to you at the end of 2013 that i thought 2014 was going to be our year, i remember you agreeing with me... seems like we we're 10 years out...but if it does come good this year, i will forgive sn everything, the end will justify the means..
Have previously mentioned that if Frr do make a miraculous come back under a different name then cannot see that after all this crap that has gone on for yrs now.
What would be the point if they was going to carry on as before.
So if above does happen & we are involved then there should be something worthwhile at the end.
that’s waay less than my average, would be disappointing to only get that; a far cry from the many pennies we were led to hope for..
still, i expect to get nothing whatsoever.
however,i would be willing to throw good money after bad to take legal action if possible when it’s all confirmed.
sn might well be a decent guy but let‘s be honest, why would a rich republican give the slightest **** about gullible old idiots from the uk that have been fleeced?
once again, thanks to looed for the effort.
ODR I mirror your concerns for sure. Its interesting that we got the best message for a while just after you spoke about taking some action and bingo strong message to calm us down.
Here is part of your message:The advice I've been given is that if we want to get the liquidation overturned we have to petition the court quickly, so I suggest that if nothing happens by Monday morning we could write en masse to the court and see what they say. I'm quite happy to draft a suggested communication; perhaps we can hone it over the weekend and then move into action on Monday, if the Company don't give us a plan that involves us in the meantime?"
Im possibly paranoid but with very good reason. I also think its time for the company to write to us and state what is happening with our % of the company. They have many of our e-mails when we wrote to them to prove our shareholding. Id be interested to hear if the majority are now trusting the message or want a direct message.
Clearly I think Looed has done brilliantly to keep the coms open this long but if we do have a short window now then the company needs to speak up now.
But at the beginning of the month it had been much higher from memory, after the news of the super majors had been mentioned in an RNS….
0.2875 was the last price.
Yes, I think it was around 0.3 on that fateful (& awful Xmas eve!).
I’m glad of 2nd hand communication from the company.
But… got to say I don’t think we’ll see a penny!
It’s rare I’ve seen a BOD really care about shareholders, particularly on AIM.
Think around 0.30
Thanks Looed for all the great work!
Can anyone tell me what price we delisted at? I can’t remember at all!
Cheers
If they don't tell us something soon some of us will be pushing up daisy's and I think we have been patient enough waiting over 5 years is just crazy
For those that missed the company’s last message, worth re-pasting here, if for nothing else, reaffirmation and reconsideration: "Please rest assured that the company continues to work in the best interests of all its shareholders. Whilst we are unable to comment on current events, we will provide an update to our Frontera family soon."
It is also true that greed can corrupt all, take ZM and Hope as recent relevant examples. And as it stands, we (the shareholders) are completely naked following the winding up of FRC, but that includes SN himself who was the largest shareholder. (@ 11%). The only way that he could have protected his own investment is if he moved the Moldovan and Georgian PSAs to a subsidiary where he is the major/sole shareholder.
I personally don’t think he is that ‘cold hearted’ noting his age and his own reputation (whether that is in the political circles [links to the Republican Party, Atlantic Council] or his father’ name and legacy). I am also sure that he is already pretty well-off and if his grand plan comes off, (in terms of a mega commercial deal) there will be plenty to go round for all.
So a bit of patience required but we will only get a piece of mind, when they tell us about the new company and new shareholder structure. Until then, we will continue to fret. I hope they can tell us something sooner rather than later.
Getting Looed’s 18th Jan at 23.00 message ( re-read if you missed ) on the back of this I am personally happy to wait as we have done for years, I strongly believe our leader will update us in the near future. Understand though that we all have our own thoughts on this ongoing saga
GLA real holders
Is Looed the “Mr Bates” of Frontera? 😀
Warm words are very welcome and comforting but like TSBS says we need some demonstrable evidence that we are still on the bus. I wonder if an approach could be made by Looed or the FRSHG to the company to release a binding agreement to the FRR ‘family’.
My opinion is that we have been fed a load of crap to keep us hopeful. He doesn't want us to take any action, then it will be too late when he gets what he wants! Gla.
Obviously im with you odr thats always been my argument. Everyone grasping at anything positive its only natural but we need proof we are still in the game
ODR1 - Shareholders haven't been detrimental to Frontera. However, YA were taken to court for selling shares they didn't own and Mourant were dropped as Frontera's lawyers. Therefore, there's reasons why SN doesn't want to pay them. As for YJ, we don't know if they've been paid.
I need to correct myself - the company case against Mourant was settled.
WhamBoy – I don’t think the website is necessarily linked to Cayman. The domain name and the company name are likely trademarked and owned elsewhere. The website has never made any reference to the Cayman Islands. Still, worth watching just in case.
The company – Frontera Resources Corporation – is, or rather was, licensed to operate in the Cayman Islands, but Frontera Resources Corporation is also licensed / registered in other jurisdictions, so it is likely they can keep using the name. The company continues to have the FRC name and several other entitles registered and able to conduct business.
ODR1 – I don’t recall any deal to pay YA via the Texas case – this was a summary judgement and has not been tested on its merits which the company is appealing. The company is counter-suing Mourant which might explain why payment was withheld.
Having been reflecting, my suspicion is that it's more how to treat capital losses that will be relevant here alas, and, they can be carried forward to offset against future gains.
Our shares are now no more, and, having fed us lines for years (yes, years) to be patient and soon we will hear good news, having seen our shareholdings now destroyed, we are still being fed the same message. We need proof now that we have shares in the new entity where the asset is (presumably FRUS).
Happy to be corrected, but from what we already know, SN has made deals to pay both YA and Mourant and, not only hasn't kept them, but has now reneged on them. Moreover, he engaged Yellow Jersey then didn't pay them and now they've, unless they've been paid, also lost their monies.
From where I sit we have no evidence to trust the guy, yet we are all sitting here smiling as he has given us the same words he probably gave the others he duped, and has been giving us already for years.
All the time, any window for us to do anything is closing fast.
Obviously I sincerely hope this is just paranoia but what do you guys think?
Whamboy,
I don’t believe there is a lifetime allowance limit any more.
‘The removal of the LTA means that the standard LTA will not apply as a lifetime limit for all pension savings with effect from 6 April 2024.’
I am not an Old Prune and not like any Royal but I am presentable and would be
delighted to be part of a film that might rattle the AIM Mafia. FRR was the
last straw. I still do not understand why I got sucked in and have no idea
what is going on. HL knows my name and address and told me to move on when I
asked searching questions . I am still there .
