Who knows, we'll be the last to know, we're only the shareholders!
Possibly their Antwerp 'September sale' went better than expected ?
Maybe they've found a monster gem. Lol
Getting quotes of 1.35 for any even small
Size what’s going on?
Am I missing something or shouldn't we have final results last Friday?
We know about that one and the others. The results of the sales will be known in the next quarterly update end of October. Unfortunately we haven't been advised of any new special stones since the July update and that is something we really need.
'Recovery of a 54-carat intense fancy yellow, sawable diamond in July. The diamond will go on sale at the next tender which is scheduled to take place during September 2019'. ONLY a few trading hours to go!
This news will hopefully get this moving in the right direction.
GLA.
I see that on twitter, FDI are posting lots of pictures of beautiful gems! The only problem is that they are not coming from FDI so what is the point? We need to be showing pics of OUR stones but the problem is that we don't seem to be getting any.
Good to see petra up 20% today got to be money to be made buying diamonds stock at those prices.
Good to hear an optimistic view.my holding has now increased by 1000% since 30p offering .This price drop may turn out to be a good thing.
4 Days ago by the Alrosa Boss:
Evgeny Agureev, Director of the United Selling Organization ALROSA, said: “The diamond market is still experiencing headwinds from both macroeconomic and industry specific factors, which have an adverse impact on the midstream. There is also a seasonal slowdown weighing on the summer sales. Meanwhile, for the first time since 2010, August sales were higher than in July – mainly due to the replenishment of stock by diamond cutters and polishers. Besides, a regular trade session in August started later than usual, so that some sales recognition were moved to September. It is still too early to come to firm conclusions based upon it. However, we are still expecting that after a significant decrease in rough diamond supply by major diamond producers since the beginning of the year, the excess stock in the system is decreasing. This will help to restore supply and demand balance which should not take too long”.
Personally, (unless economies tank) I think there will be a recovery in Diamond prices from early to mid 20. Argyle is set to close late 20 and they will be reducing sales as this happens, by their own forecasts. Ive read there is already a marginal improvement in prices and stock in the middle is slowly being cleared. in addition some other companies including DeBeers have reduced production and sales, marginally.
We have $26m, this is enough for 9-12 months. We need debt adjusted and a couple of good finds with some improvement in market ROM prices and a Argyle mine closure date which I google for every week. I bought another £5k a few days ago(half a million shares) its all bit of a gamble, but my average is now super low and im on for £25k a penny movement with my holding. Its a gamble.
Sorry, disagree, SXX has always been a bit of a money pit!
Sad to see whot is happening to the aim market just look at sirius today and petra Been shorted to death British companies need support not kicking to death would be a good move for Boris Johnson to support them would win him votes.
Just the problem of paying down their debt which is massive. I suspect that equity will get wiped out here as debt gets swapped for equity thereby obliterating existing share holders. Hence the very low share price...$26million cash...£6million MC. The problem is how they pay the debt when their core diamond price is awful and does not look like recovering any time soon.
There is pretty much no interest here anymore. Would anyone like to express an opinion...is this company ****ed or not? A market cap of £6m would suggest that it pretty much is, yet a single stone could match that. Any views?
Bought a few more today.at some point people will start buying diamonds again .when they are sick of buying land fill crap.
Still waiting for a big one!!!
Hmm. Still waiting!! I have some if these, bought a long, long time ago when I was obviously young and stupid, now sitting at >95% loss. In fact I barely ever bother to look. Yet another sick AIM joke. Its going to be one hell of a recovery Stew for me to make a profit here!
Shall I average down? Let me think for a nanosecond. That will be no then.
Well there is a rare thing fdi ending the week not lower than the start of the week.considering over 20 million shares being sold not to bad.my holding just keeps getting bigger.recon it will pay of in the end.
Sellers seem to be completed. Hardly any shares available now and potential big upside based on recent discovery. Big recovery due here
Thank you workover, if you read the previous posts, you will see that we are all aware of the situation regarding the diamond market and the closure of the Argyle mine but we believe that FDI has the propensity to produce large profitable stones of good quality, some of which it has done already, and the actual hope is that in the meantime, before the Argyle closure, we can make some headway in this direction to tide us through a rough period.
The problem is the diamond market that is currently over supplied! Diamonds are trading at 300-350/ct.. historically very very low !
Market is expected to remain weak for the foreseeable... large Australian mine is expected to shutdown next year ... after which, market may move from current oversupply/ surplus situation ... this is one to watch in Q1 2020 onwards
Good luck guys
It's a start but a long way to go! We need big diamonds and soon.
About time. WAY UMDERVALUED
