Not good for airlines, flat earnings going forward
I added more at £4.78. £5.30-5.50 and i will be laughing. I did sell THG after such a good run. Cheers THG.
Very contradictory
Ryanair are saying prices are at best flat, but they could fill the extra planes if they were delivered. So if demand is up and supply is flat or down (eg whizzair and there engine issues) then the lever is Price, considering low cost airlines are all about variable pricing, not sure how his comments translate to stalling fares?
The sell off is way overdone..£4.71 coming, i shall add more then. It's bound to bounce at the resistance level. DYOR.
@Beo1
Another example of Chippy Mick trying to mess up the market with ridiculous contradictory statements. The bottom line is the cost of flights is always going to be low % of total holiday cost. Try flying from Stansted and you probably have to spend £100 for a room overnight before you’ve even left UK (depending on where you live obvs). It took him over 20 years to pull out of Skavsta (200km from Stockholm). He’s not very quick. Just got a massive gob on him.
Just topped up 477.2.
Airlines not in favour today and FTSE up. At these low valuations we might get a bid for EZJ.. Maybe it was all a plan!!! It makes sense to buy EZJ than new aircraft if the are looking for capacity. DYOR.
Me too, topped up at 477.27, but still couldn't stop the SP from falling.☹️☹️☹️
Hi Sundanza, after all these years, that is probably the most intelligent post you have made.
Hahahahaha. Not worried at all about EZJ, just topping up at these low levels..In time it will go back up, its imperative to collect more LOW. Same as CCL, i kept buying all the way down to almost £10, eventually they go back up. I do like taking profits and buy something cheaper and it's always worked. Intend to do the same with EZJ. Thanks Teddy. DYOR
I suspect with the football and Olympics this summer. will have a positive effect on the discount airlines. so i will hold a while longer.
i expect French will screw things up with the trains. by demanding more money.
we will see if i am wrong or right in 4-6 months
Nail on head. In the past you bought a competitor for market share, expertise and synergies. Easy jet will be different, If the market carries on like it is, there will be no planes, simple as that. No metal, no seats.
Fantastic price to top up at pre-summer hols. Good luck any bargain hunters salivating at the thought of nearer £4.50. Just can't see it happening! Price signal is a solid buy. Give your heads a wobble and remind yourself of this comment and the missed opportunity in 1-2 months time
Yes, indeed Talkin..it won't be this low for much longer. IMO.
EZJ capacity is up and all ordered planes arriving on schedule :)
What is interesting is Tui late deals actually state if a holiday is on an ezj flight.
Just opinion: Jo and CEO elect seem to have good relationship with ex employer Tui.
They only have 2 on order! Which represents just one percent of their fleet, it won’t take much uptick in business to max out their capacity.
If I had a pound for evertine I’ve heard someone say it won’t be this price for long. This company is fkd
NuckyT
If you don’t trust the product don’t invest?
To be fair, sundena has been talking absolute tot and just snatching at things with no apparent rationale. He's been very wrong, very often but is confidently and requently predicting the SP to rise. I've filtered him as it was getting annoying. There was no obvious rationale to anything he was posting. I even had a look back at his posting history and he's talking a lot of tot on CCL as well.
Stupmy, i do book profits quite often, thats the difference...The volatility makes it worthwhile taking profits of shares that have gone up and stick the money into shares that have gone down for no reason apart from people taking profits. I also hold longer term for some of my holding. So i keep making money even when some shares are down temporarily. At the moment i am down on EZJ and up on CCL and IAG so I book some profits and buy more EZJ which will eventually go up. It has worked for me for a few years now. GLA.
Been in and out of the stock for a few years now, jumped ship at £5.35 a while back so missed out on it going further north. I'll jump back in but not sure now is the right time, another 3% drop today is not good.
We should see a bounce tomorrow after this big sell off..we are overdue one. This is a company who makes good money and has no debt, lets remember that...plus a small dividend. GL tomorrow.
Funny how it is actually stupmy who keeps posting unsubstantiated tosh.
Utter garbage junking up the board.
Just unbelievable what's happening to the SP
Following 2 rights issues you would hope there would be .. no debt.
