Travel restrictions to be greatly changed with amber countries going green & Turkey to be lifted. Many former red listers being booked up according to reports. Travel stocks moving on this news. GLA
As described yesterday, in 1 week, we are back to announcement value with dilution (£6.38). The RI is a success. Although Whizz attempt to sabotage the operation has given a chance for some to close shorts (hopefully they had the good sense of doing it), it has failed and the direction of travel is clear. I would not be surprised to see this go back to 8ish within the next 2 weeks.
648 first target, 675 breaks the downtrend channel. It's going higher from here.
So still no announcement.
Markets have closed which makes me wonder if it isn't going to be as positive news as everyone is hoping for.
I mean if it is positive why wait until after the markets close ?
Announcement's have previously been about 5pm.
...and possibly precisely because the markets are closed
All over the TV now... looking forward to Monday
News couldnt have got much better. We should fly next week.... pun intended!
Poor old smithy, how's the "it will go below the RI" going?
Hahaha you are pathetic.
Yes the £80 test did put people off, especially families.
As I said, next year we will be above £9
Do EasyJet regularly make trips to the BVI do they? Short haul trips are their bread and butter and this news can only mean more butts in seats.
Did he actually say that??! Oh dear! This week has proven that even reckless gamblers can have their second chance. This never reached the infamous £5.20, I sincerely hope he had the good fortune of cutting his losses...poor old chap!
Red List changes.

On a much more interesting note, the Stelios story will change EZJ dynamic for the better, this is good news for the real investors.
News already announcing there has been a sudden surge in holiday bookings since update.
Everyone trying to get the last bit of European sunshine and / or winter holiday.
Have a good weekend all
Smithy wouldn’t know what the bvi ‘s are like if they slapped him in the face . Still not said what his position is and to me comes across as a disgruntled former employee. My opinion
Got to love a bit of desperate trolling about all being priced in. It's clear that EasyJet is going to enter a bullish period. Many will see the announcement from Shapps this weekend and buy shares.
Sometimes investing isn't complicated. The bit that is priced in is the rumour. The bit that isn't priced in is the surge in bookings that is now happening and most importantly that's the bit that brings in the cash that starts the bigger turnaround. EasyJet is now cashed up and ready to be aggressive.

Yep saying PCR tests didn’t stop ppl travelling is nonsense. Just logically put yourself in that situation and it is clear it did and actually me and my wife are now going for a long weekend to Switzerland in Oct as we don’t have to pay extra money for PCR.
Should see a rise in bookings now. With the cheaper lateral flow after arrival. Obviously depends on the outbound requirements to a degree but people can pick and chose countries that allow entry with full vaccination and no testing. Yes the cost of PCR made a difference, but I think for a lot of people it was the hassle of it and the fear of testing positive abroad.
Hi folks. Best of luck to Easyjet this week. I'm invested in IAG and we have very similar personalities on both threads. The haters/negative guys are however notable by their absence today. IAG I think will go on a bullish run but the big block now for BA is the transatlantic route. If that opened then it really would start burning rubber.
Best of luck
Or people who missed out on a summer holiday take mid year breaks instead? That's what I am doing and friends and colleagues are similarly minded, sir.
Smithy you miss the point the average person won’t be able pay for PCR tests as part of a cheap weekend trip abroad as it costs as much as the plane ticket. Some of your other points are fair but this 1 is nonsense.
I am doing ok just good to have an extra weekend trip alongside plenty of others so will leave Skegness to you (not heard anyone mention this to me since the 1990s)
"Travel is still filled with restrictions, red tape and uncertainty" - True but a lot less now than 24 hours ago. The SP has already recovered to nearly the equivalent of its pre-RI share price (638p is the new 789p) and though some of the news will be priced in there should be enough that isn't to push the price up from here. But like any sp nothing is certain and anybody that says otherwise is not worth paying attention to.
Smithy if you can “read” I was referring to the average person (which actually impacts the company) not myself but no point labouring my point with someone with blinders on like yourself.
You mentioned Skegness not me so no point bringing up St Lucia now you already set the bar low.
Smithy. You clearly know very little apart from how to massage your own fragile ego and belittle others. I'll pass on engaging with you and your trolling. All the best. You sound desperate.
Good to see same healthy banter ....
I’ll throw it
Out there but what’s the consensus on taking up your rights?
Government announcement looks like the kick up the A@s the travel industry needed ..
B4 anyone chips in I know it’s my decision, but there appears to be a few knowledgeable people here
