Unfortunately events have just happened making things difficult, but where there's a will there's a way.
I'm still confident the BOD can conclude some sort of asset sale in the coming weeks.
Goodnight, another busy day tomorrow.
They couldn’t sell in a bull market. What makes you think they will sell in a bear market. There’s too much speculation going on but the facts is they are no more closer to an asset sale as they were 3 yrs ago just as they were in the same discussions.
How do you know they are no closer now than 3 years ago? That isn’t a fact it’s your opinion.
Okay show me where it says they are close to a deal. Nowhere. They won’t sell. It’s in the tone of the RNS. It’s gone from a sale to maybe a sale or self fund via WK.
I don’t need to show you that because I have no proof. So that isn’t a fact granted. But you saying it is a fact they are no closer is simply incorrect as you have no proof.
Fact=a thing that is known or proved to be true.
Out of interest tc, why do you think the i Ned has been brought in?
Exactly you have no proof that they are any closer to a deal. From the wording of the RNS they are still in discussions. The same discussions as 3 yrs ago. What happened to that mystery proposal from over a year ago. Have they pulled out
TC... It does not say that. It's an annual report .
Ined had been brought in to help with a sale. If they were close to a sale why would they need to bring someone else in and incur more costs.
Yes it’s an annual report that says eua re in discussions. Still in discussions after 3 yrs. there’s nothing advanced about the potential deal. It’s just discussions.
What do you mean ‘exactly’ lol.
Think you are tying yourself up in knots here!
I didn’t say I had proof they are close to a desk, you said that it was a fact they are no closer, which, is clearly factually incorrect as we do not know!
‘Close to a deal’
They aren’t closer that’s the thing, eua have always been about a sale but from the tone of the last annual report with regards to potential self fund which has never been mentioned in any of the RNS’s shows there potentially is a chance they go alone.
Maybe they brought the i Ned in to push things one way or the other? With the powers they have they could assist with getting a deal near completion over the line if there is a sticking point surely?
They brought him in to speed up the process. It it was in advanced stages I doubt they would need to incur extra costs to bring someone in.
Could be correct, but just as possible it’s near completion but has hit a difference of opinion?
They have made a point of emphasising that their focus remains on the asset sale, which they didn’t have to state.
They clearly did as again eua is all about a sale. If they didn’t talk about the sale this would have dropped even further.
Hurly it doesn’t take 3 yrs for a deal to be finalised. The market is ruthless. Where are those plebs ACF with their massive predictions.
FCA registered and producing crap like that. Pfft.
Well I’m not sure anything they say has helped prop the share price up for some time!
They could have just said talks continue, or talks are in progress. Taking a positive nugget out of this I’m pleased they said that their focus remains on the sale. This, plus the i Ned appointment hopefully stands for something. Have to try and take positives here I think if you are a holder, otherwise spontaneous combustion beckons if you are glass half full.
That’s what most holders do. Only consider the positives. Never the negatives, that’s why many are still holding the baby from the highs hoping for a massive sale that isn’t happening.
I think the realists can see a ‘massive’ sale is unlikely. But a sale of sorts is entirely possible. Surely if holding you need to be positive, otherwise why would you hold?
Remember we are primarily down from 18p or so to here due to the war.
No it’s not. The reason eua is down here is not only cause of the war, it’s due to the constant promise of the deal that’s not happened. It will keep dropping till some more clarity is given
Well it went from 18 to 6 or so in a couple of days from 18th feb approx. Remember I said ‘primarily’ , hence the main reason. Agreed it’s slipped since apart from the odd surge.
By the way tc are you a holder here? I forget.
Wow TC, what collection of negative speculation. The deal talks continue. That's all in the RNS's.
We're pretty much at the low hit when the war started so yes, the bulk of the sp drop is due to the war.
You are, like me, in no position to judge where we are in the deal. The appointment of another big firm and a specialist M&A person suggests some progress to me.
Given the company has lost a lot of 2yrs due to covid and getting on for 4 months due to war, the deal is going at a decent pace imo.
As for ignoring the negatives, the main one is the war. Not ignoring it, fully aware of it.
