I'm fortunate to have mine in an ISA.
in addition to the 25% income lifetime allowance tax charge you also are chargeable to income tax at your highest rate - if any one is in this position or will be - then please contact a financial adviser and don't be guided by a share bulletin board !!!!!!
ANtiF, it has but it now rises in line with inflation.
Is that you - Small ball?
Wrong Alan. No CGT in SIPP.
Possible Income tax payable when you take benefits and LTA charge if over £1.07m
Bbaggins, us oldies need to have a big pot to retire, im 50 u know.
BOL
"Income tax and if really good lta charge"
No income tax on share sales, CGT
If your sitting on £320k in one share I'm sure tax is the last thing to worry about :-)
It been more luck than anything. If there had been a gradual rise to 2p without the drama of last October ish I would have sold and moved onto something else. The quick jump in price then suspension basically stopped me selling and now the story convinced this one is a keeper.
until he is taxed....

Buying 1.6million shares at 0.6p - has this been your strategy throughout for sub penny shares
Thxs
Has made my SIPP and me very happy so far! MM's fishing for shares, scaring investors with the bid movements. They know each penny moves our investment a lot. Trying to get us selling I think.. Up and down like a yoyo. Have a few that move my portfolio so need to have some nerves of steal at times.
Let me look into my crystal ball fella
Blimey, if I had 1.6m shares I'd be retired now , good luck to you :-)
rns tonight
imho
Who thinks there won't be an RNS/Gap up Monday. Explain why.
back on the rise. think someone is building but letting the day traders sell in between to not over pay.
It's been a long time coming.... And as I've been in Xel, GKP, RRL over the years and seen big gains and lost it again it's a bit nerve racking especially the waiting so I generally don't look at the share price unless there are major moves. Managed to get 1.6m of these when around 0.6-0.7p with the hope of selling at 2p but the story changed last year and here we are.
What target we are looking at minimum if we get bid and buy out? This will help me to repay some loans
Sam, I hope you kept hold of your GGP shares.
Nice raise today but it really means nothing if you're long. The end game is still yet to play out. No matter what happens with the sale we are sitting on a massive asset, If i was younger I would be hoping that we mine it ourselves because the rewards down the line will be a lot more than any sale we get.
if this does get bought out for the high numbers suggested, you will be wealthy and healthy !
Yet not a surprise really.
This morning Alex informed the BB of the Typil Licence.
We have been speculating on the holding pattern by the MM's re JUB capital for a few days (since the big sells backdated to 3 Feb were posted)
Just because we weren't on the riser board they were buy signals.
