Mass production doesn't come cheap and certainly more than $400k to establish tooling, premises and skilled workers. They don't go from zero to production run delivering in 3 months from nothing.
This is not about $400k or 5000 units it is about mass production over a 5-10 year rollout.
If this is Tarana then when they went into it they had a window. Clearly it has narrowed drastically now. The point of the funding I have no doubt was to prepare and deliver production at I would guess minimum 50000 units a year.
TL when you say this deal was purely to fund mass production, are you referring to the 5G deal, as the first and second tranches have surely been used for general corporate running costs, as seems likely with the recently announced third tranche, with the 4th tranche due in the next three months or so.
How much are you thinking it will cost to fund mass production? Surely not the £1.3m ENET has received from 5G to date, with a further £400k in the next few months.
This deal was purely to fund mass production.
I think it sounds a bit like the sentient puddle argument, but we'll have to disagree on this one. Also might need to be careful what you wish for as I'm not sure of the regulatory rules behind the type of financing arrangement you're postulating. Unless anyone knows any dodgy lawyers in Panama I doubt we'll ever know who is behind the fund. I would very much like Ethernity to be cash flow positive though so that these types of deals weren't necessary in the first place though..
I can say with plenty of confidence that Ethernity has been caught napping expecting first production to be small handled in house or locally outsourced. They were expecting this at the end of the summer. Ethernity were aware of the extent of the requirement about 6 weeks ago and since then it's been gas down. I personally expect the order to be increased and Ethernity to establish mass production in Maharashtra India.
Just a feeling

I think you are correct in your analysis .
Tarana is now totally entwined with Ethernity with its product offering .
Tarana is expected to list on Nasdaq within 12 months at maybe $2b valuation if all goes well and who do you think would be a natural and symbiotic target acquisition to expand globally .
Yes you guessed it but not at a miserly £15m valuation.
The game is afoot dear Watson and we must make haste .
The significance of the Tarana deal has bypassed the market but not the knowledgeable faithful here.

Bid it is not a waste of time at all. Sitting waiting for an RNS and not exploring the options is a waste of time. I believe that they are behind the funding. Simply the timing, they are the entity with most to lose, it does not seem like a commercial predatory investment. The line about discussing the increase in business but they are not inside. It all fits for me. So what do I know now, if it is Tarana they are a supportive partner. What does that mean... It means that Ethernity has a high value supporter so Ethernity are derisked on a financial basis. Tarana has a key component from Ethernity and they will protect their supply lines.
The patent was awarded in August 2020. It was just announced and it was the trigger for this announcement as I said at the time, why now?
Mouths are flapping in Israel but it is time to put cards close to the chest relax and have a beer.
That’s the beauty of a conspiracy theory Bid , it can’t ever be proven lol. If we get some nice news soon I’m going to claim it and possibly start a new religion , the enet disciples .I’ll get you a T-shirt done!
Tracy,
I have always hoped the same, expecting to close or have something(s) significant in order to include it in an update - which is later than prior years.
Nice it's kept low for now to bed and isa, and add a few more as well.
Looking forward to a nice news flow this year. Even with this I am unsure whether the market will value ENET or whether it will just go under the radar until it starts throwing off profit and cash.
I'll tell you what's certain .. all this talk of who is behind the 5g fund is a waste of time that is completely unprovable anyway. Oh and I can guarantee there's an RNS next week - one confirming that all resolutions were passed at the EGM!
Warning I’m going to go full conspiracy theory ramptastic here . All pure conjecture but suppose Tarana are behind the 5G fund and they were waiting on the patent to be granted. Could there have been an agreement to withhold any sp sensitive news until Tuesdays Announcement in order for 5G to unload their first tranche before reaching a higher sp thus avoiding 3% declaration ? In other words will we now have more news flow and an upward movement ? And whilst I’m at it maybe Trump is a 5th dimensional lizard?! I did warn you! Atb
George we'll hear that Field trials are ongoing in China at multiple locations.
We'll hear that two OEMs in Asia are designing solutions using ACEnic-100.
We'll hear that Ethernity are fielding substantial interest from Europe and the US for 5G products. We'll hear that sales are expected to commence soon.
Just my thoughts
MA NISHMA .....
Yes it is suggestive investing porn. It's a fact that they can't give market sensitive information in a email. I also think that there may be something about to land holding back a broad update.
Crikey it’s like the sound of music all of a sudden here!
He ain't talking about the 4 seasons either!
The future is bright..........Ma nishma.........The tea lady is happy so am I...
Spring is sprung..........love it
Too true PR
Meant to put my subtle in ‘subtle’ so as to convey the meaning!
Aye, subtle hints everywhere - BK couldn't get any more explicit without breaching market abuse rules!
"Winter is past us, and spring has sprung. Spring is not full-blown summer yet.
We are working hard to bring the best FPGA-based networking solutions to market. We are convinced that hard work will pay off."
Anyone with a functional non-short-circuited chip in their head should be able to read between those lines!
:-)
L2 strengthened again, now 3:3, might get back to where we were a couple of days ago post Tarana news, hurrah!
Hopefully this is the start of some decent newsflow and the sp can hit 50p+ over next few months.
Seems crazy saying that really, I mean 50p is £25m valuation, that’s nothing. But it would at least be a decent start.
Let’s hope BK is right and dropping a subtle hint
‘And we are convinced that hard work will pay off.’
It certainly did with Tarana.

I first went in Jan 18 (so just over three yrs) - but the position has significantly increased since that first entry point.
To be fair - I am up 30% right now, with an average entry of c.24p.
They should have a lot of time to see this through as it would be a minimum of 10 years before they got their hands on it. As long as all goes to plan a very good start to investing my friend thought!
Over 5 years it will be a perfect investment. I invested my first few January 2018 with a 5 year view. 2021 I now have a 3-5 year view.
My friends kids of 7 and 8 are quite into shares (for their age anyway) as he is trying to reach them early and witters on everyday about them. Good to know my friend isn't alone 01234 and I guess if the investment failed he would replace the £2,000. Also ha said he has diversified over 3 different investments, Enet being the main one.
@kitlow - depends on the kid! My babies (11, 9 & 7) would probably be silently angry with me for not telling them first but would probably show deference and hope "dad knows best!"...
Good dad for teaching his kid to invest in equities... Even better dad if it is diversified and not all in one pot! Terrible dad if he hasn't got the patience or presumes/suggests it is completely risk-free!
