@enteleon: "Given some negative comments on KDNC, is the prominence of Kiran Morzaria (he is quoted as someone to contact on EMH's RNSs) a risk to EMH ?"
To add some balance (for what it's worth!) I'm a long term holder in KDNC and know the company and its history very well, I've got the impression Kiran is a decent guy, and I think the short term prospects could surprise many. If you want to know more information I think it's appropriate we discuss on that board than on here - which is a bit unfortunate for KDNC, as over the years I've shared loads of research on the KDNC board about the company's it has interests in - including EMH! And before anyone berates me, I think EMH is great, just longer term... ;-)
AHH dilution dave brings back memories. Not a fan either
i think that goes for most that know the share and lost shedloads ( if anyone thinks of buying kdnc share i would say buyer beware!!!!)
Funnily enough I've just posted a very similar post on the KDNC BB. The BOD of KDNC are a shower.
Candace are what they are, I would say they are a risk if a small one. I'll never forget when they were still REM they were trying to take over BCN by issuing more shares, really dodgy looking deal.. of course it didn't go through but they blocked the re-domicile from Canada at the time, just to be obtuse and that cost the company a lot of money and SP..... Not to mention the time Lenigas signed a deal with Tesla that was so poor it would never make money but it did manage to ramp the price up giving DL a great opportunity to sell his personal holding.... Let's not even get started on UKoG..
Needless to say I'm not a fan of that lot...
Fingers- thanks very much for sharing your deep and long-term knowledge. I tried to gather more info on the quoted large-holders (>3%), but only found the official declaration of Cadence/Armco/Coughlan. Encouraging that the top-40 have been in EMH for a long time and, collectively, own 85%. Is there a list of these top-40, all but three of whom will be under 3% ?
I am making a presumption that David Reeves, non-exec Chair of EMH, will hang on to 1M odd shares recently vested to him (or rather his wife, Eleanor Reeves).
Given some negative comments on KDNC, is the prominence of Kiran Morzaria (he is quoted as someone to contact on EMH's RNSs) a risk to EMH ? Thanks very much for all your help, here.
But another important factor entelon regarding the top forty holders that they have been steadfast in holding and loyal to the cause in last 4 years . Most have increased their holdings in those years too and the top 40 own 85 % of the company , very hard for institutions to get in .
Thanks Mullins58
I did cast my eye over BCN last night but favoured here for many reasons. BCN had recovered almost all of their gains to pre covid levels. EMH was still below pre-covid levels even after the JV was announced. More room for upside here. I also think the supply line issue and "new norm" with covid means businesses will try and source locally. EMH bodes well with it's geographical position neigbouring the major european EV car manufacturers.
This BB was also extremely well researched.
GLA
Sd, not recommending, have a look at BCN. ATB
Sausage-dog- It's interesting that, hitherto, EMH has attracted only 26.6% Institutional shareholding (16.6% from Cadence and 10% from Armco Barriers), as declared on May 14th, 2020. One of my arguments for investing in EMH early is that its profile remains rather under-the-radar, with plenty of room for institutional interest as awareness of the strategic importance of lithium increases. I mustn't get carried away, but EMH looks to be a bit of a hidden gem. Really pleased to hear that you have investigated EMH and have invested.
Been there, done that... Personally I would steer well clear of that shambles, and anything KM is involved in .. I'd actually prefer of they didn't have 16% here.
Hello All,
KDNC owns 16% of the shares here in EMH. The market has just started to notice KDNC whose shares have been sky rocketing over the last couple of days (>100%)
I suspect some of the astute investors invested/looking to invest there will take a closer look at the assets owned such as EMH. Personally I invested yesterday in KDNC and after an evenings research bought into EMH today. This is a great opportunity here.
Good luck
