TopGun Maverick has only gone and smashed it with a $151 Million opening weekend (including Memorial Day) and great International sales on top. Been tracking several cinemas on this and they have been selling out and its the same picture next week. Its going to be a very good summer.

Great to see further expansion is on the cards draft. Shows confidence in the business and growth prospects. One possible link you missed. The St James Centre Edinburgh is located in a fully recently rebuilt shopping complex. Very nice shopping centre.

My exclusive this morning: Everyman is to open a new cinema at Aberdeen's Bon Accord Centre - making five within a fifteen-minute walk of Union Street.
All you need to know about dates, concepts and (ooft) potential ticket prices here:
Just got in from seeing this on opening night.
Probably the best film I have seen since the reopening of cinemas. The flying scenes are awesome and it is well worthy of its 5 star reviews.
One that I would thoroughly recommend seeing.
Bit of a show stopper this one and should do the trick in generating interest and tickets.
How on earth did they get that fighter plane into Leicester Square?
If your after opening weekend be sure to book early rtaher than try and get a walk in seat. Imho

It's the Royal Premier of Topgun Maverick tonight in London and the Odeon have 3 venues linking in to it as well as Cineworld having 7 venues linking in. I am not aware of EMAN participating in this but let me just say many are sold out and those that are not are down to single seats and front rows only.
should be much higher
i think vue, Oden or showcase or Empire will have to make an offer here at some point
we are premium end and making profit off the food and drink mix also
Then up pops two other good films -Jurassic World Dominion and Lightyear for the families.
Jurassic World Dominion

Lightyear

Other good films in between and to follow on.
Minions the Rise of Gru
Thor: Love and Thunder
Surprised also draft that its at 120p and not much higher.
Should get about 45 Days of cumulative Box Office off Dr Strange but coming hot on its heels is another big film - TopGun Maverick.
Royal Premiere this Thursday 19th May and opens on the 25th May in the UK. 27th May in US Looks amazing and should draw in further crowds. Probably a must see.

the boutique sector remains as bullish as ever, with Curzon opening two more cinemas this year (in Kingston and Canterbury), following two in London last year (Hoxton and Camden); Picturehouse is set to cut the ribbon on three new venues in 2022 (in Epsom, Chester and Ealing), following its opening of Finsbury Park in London last year; and Everyman is following up its new Edinburgh and London Borough Yards sites with Egham, Plymouth and Marlow later this year. Northallerton and Aberdeen will follow for Everyman in 2023, with more to come according to the company’s annual report published in March.
