given secret cinema was sold for 100million
well it was double this share price, and the mms have dropped it 50% for no bad news at all. not sure why. we now need a 100% rise just to get back to break even here for LTHs.

· Market share maintained at 4.5% (2021: 4.5%).
Operational Highlights
· Two new venues were opened in the year, Edinburgh and Egham. The Group now operates 38 venues with a total of 130 screens (2021: 36 venues with a total of 119 screens).

Current Trading and Outlook
· Performance in the new financial year has been encouraging.
· Covid-related delays in film production resulted in a reduced slate of film content during 2022. Despite this, the Company was able to exceed trading expectations due to the unique Everyman experience which continues to attract existing and new customers. The Directors expect both the volume and quality of new releases to significantly increase in 2023.
· Due to the above, whilst the Directors are cognisant of the difficult macro-economic environment and consumer backdrop, they continue to have significant confidence in the future.
· The Group remains committed to organic expansion with excellent opportunities available for new sites. The Directors however are taking a more measured approach to new site opening. The Group is opening a new venue in Durham in February 2023, with four further venues expected to open during the year in Salisbury, Northallerton, Plymouth and Marlow.

UK immersive cinema company Secret Cinema has been sold to US-based mobile ticketing platform TodayTix Group in a deal set to benefit the British taxpayer, which has a stake through a coronavirus venture capital fund.
Secret Cinema hosts film and television screenings in atmospheric locations where audience members walk between different sets encountering actors playing characters from the movie or show. Its events typically cost around $10mn to put on.
TodayTix, which specialises in theatre tickets for Broadway and West End shows, is paying £88mn, according to people briefed on the deal.
Secret Cinema has announced partnerships with Netflix and Disney in recent years, recreating sci-fi drama series Stranger Things in a disused Los Angeles parking lot and more recently superhero saga Guardians of the Galaxy in London’s Wembley Park.
The UK government has a stake through a scheme set up to support innovative businesses during the Covid-19 pandemic. It invested £4mn in Secret Cinema in 2020 through its Future Fund, which was managed by the state-owned British Business Bank.
