like I said £2.00 and I suspect a bit more to come....
I think the lack of a substantial rise is more to do with the strength of the pound and not really addressing the debt however the pension deficit has decreased quite a lot.... lets see how the day pans out.....
Got to say those results were much better than I expected.....lets hope for a nice push towards £2.00
Is where we are today. If the business flag uncertainties about brexit etc then it could just move to another country which would see it re rate if it doesn't get bought first.
yes....you will not go far wrong at these levels
Had to buy in again at this level, has anyone had any luck with trading this share? at around 160p a good long term bet
This is now at buying levels for me..... been in and out of this over the years and I've always done very nicely...they are started to reduce debt and that should go down further with the dollar...so will be looking to buy maybe today....
Some, will buy more if it drops. Good luck!
Price seems to have been moved down by the market makers today despite with most transactions shown as 'buys'. I bought 1400 at 194.25p and the price subsequently went lower so added 1479 at 192.3359p. The spread is very tight at 192-192.4p so seems to be a good me to deal and I would suggest that the price is interesting as well - as shown by my trades.
The Buzz
I was very happy with the pension deficit. I too have been adding around the £2 mark. Seems to be a well run business.
These results seem quite solid to me. Key thing is monster fall in the pension deficit from £82m to £57m. Good progress in China and USA is pleasing. Looks like a major launch of the Fine Ultra product will be significant in Q2. I have been topping up quite heavily recently and nearly again this morning at £2, but refrained and now spread 199.2-201.5p. So far turnover is very low so I don't think that he market has done its sums yet. I had expected the results to be out tomorrow so was quite surprised when I realised that they were already out and I had not done my analysis before the market opened! No surprises and retained the dividend. DVO remains one of the mainstays of my portfolio.
Just noticed some big sells - I am waiting for the price to fall - if so it is top up time!
The Buzz
Showing some good strength now. I’ll be top slicing at 250
..big move today. Anyone heard anything??
...fall from 240p to 190p despite a solid trading statement and no further news. Whether it's suffered from the Chinese/US trade war thing, given the new Chinese plant, I don't know, but it would be illogical. Stock looks excellent value down at this level.
And me sub £2 is cheap.
Top up time at 193 for me
I really see this stock doing well in 2018 they have spent the last few years investing in new factories and infrastructure etc....so all the major spending is done now, the dollar is also favourable, the new factory is up and running, although the trading update was not very informative the targets are being met, and this company gives nothing away the next RNS will be fruitful.....good luck all
little bit of a break out today?
Not terribly informative, but no land mines, and all seems to be progressing smoothly. Hopefully this will pave the way back to 3.
Don't reinvest in sphere!
...and good to see. Those of us who topped up in the 1xxs can feel well satisfied. £3 by year end feels realistic to me.
Good volume growth, whilst margins affected by full launch costs of new factories. Further growth should now fall straight through to the bottom line, and new product launches in H2 should drive that growth. Margins to improve over time. Stock price reacting sensibly (for once!)
This stock got hammered over the last 12 months all the investment is done and they will now start to reap all the benefits i see something close to £3.00 by xmas a well run company
Stock like this, which has lost lot of trust in the last few years, will always take a bit of time to recover. As the market is unlikely to give the management the benefit of the doubt, stock will tend to react to new news, and then trade sideways for long periods. Next news, half year report in early August. If anyone wants an easy way to make money, just buy a stock when I sell :(. I never seem to make these calls right!
