Stockeye - Market Watch - DDD Group & ReThink Group 13/07/2011 Stock Eye has placed DDD Group (DDD) and ReThink Group (RTG) on its Watch List today. DDD Group has announced that it has secured a licence agreement which will see its technology used in 3D smartphones. A bit more info from Stockmarketwire: 13 July 2011 | 07:37am StockMarketWire.com - DDD Group has signed a two-year licensing agreement with a leading mobile phone manufacturer to bundle DDD's TriDef 3D conversion software products with the manufacturer's latest 'glasses-free' 3D smartphones. The handset maker will embed DDD's TriDef 3D Mobile Android software application for automatically converting video from 2D to 3D on its new 3D handset. The 3D smartphone will shortly be available from mobile carriers and retailers in Asia, Europe and the US. DDD will receive quarterly royalties from the manufacturer based on the volume of 3D smartphones manufactured. Production of handsets including the TriDef software began in the first half of this year. The agreement also includes a one-off $120,000 development and licence fee.
was up over 10% on early trading, MM's have capitalised on the low volume since then by putting through a trade of 5000 at 25p, despite it being accompanied by a cancelling trade for exactly the same price and volume. So basically a ploy to make PI's think people are selling at 25p, maybe panic a few into selling before the next jump in SP. The cheeky gits! Will take more than that to make me sell, this company is going places!
big news this morning!! http://www.investegate.co.uk/Article.aspx?id=201107130700072791K Looks like the deal could be with HTC???
3D will take over soon and we can all think ourselves lucky we were in at a few pence here. Nice to see a blue day.
http://www.investegate.co.uk/Article.aspx?id=201106170800016292I Reduced holding from Stubbs, as of 9th June, so might explain some of those massive trades from around that date. Anyone know how many he was holding before?? Its a shame that not long after positive news we see this, which will probably dampen PI interest somewhat for the immediate future.
Goes to show what an active board can do to prove to shareholders and alliances that a company can achieve excellent growth and profit, well done!
DDD expects 45% rise in Q1 revenue, shares rise strongly Date: Monday 06 Jun 2011 LONDON (ShareCast) - DDD Group, the 3D solutions company, will this afternoon announce that first quarter revenues are expected to rise by 111%, to $975,000, versus the same period last year (excluding discontinued operations). In sequential terms the company estimates a 45% growth rate. The above thanks to a seemingly strong uptake by clients for some of its products. Shipments by TV chip manufacturers grew 475% over the first quarter of 2010 according to the company, even if growth in PC shipments was far less, at 5%. As for the latter, however, DDD has called attention to the fact that it has signed license agreements with 6 OEM PC manufacturers, and that several of these are expected to commence product shipments during the first half of 2011. Of possible interest as well, DDD says that it has also implemented the TriDef software on Texas Instrument's TI OMAP processors for Android smart phones and tablet PCs. Lastly, and as planned, DDD informs that it has continued to recruit new staff in key areas including PC software development and Android mobile software development. As of 11:37 AM London time shares of DDD are shooting up by 14.8%, to 35p, in London trading.
Great news for shareholders of Ddd.3D TV market worldwide is on a roll. At least, sales chart of the two South Korea based companies ?Samsung and LG is pointing to such a situation. As it is these two Asian companies that right now seems to be dominating the overseas market. So while Samsung has won half the market share in the United States and Europe thanks to its innovative Shutter Glasses (SG) technology, LG on the other hand can be seen trumpeting its presence in more half the market share in China. Also, if its SG tech that has done the trick for Samsung, LG one the other hand has found buyers on the back of the Film Pattern Retarder (FPR) that its 3D TVs are based on. Samsung Electronics has proclaimed recently that it is their 3D TVs that comprise almost half of all 3d TVs sold in the first quarter of 2011. Or for those who prefer numbers, the company revealed their market shares based on number of units sold stands at 48.8 percent in North America and 49.9 percent in Europe. Both the figures are in accordance with what the market research firms NPD and GFK have cited. If we go by what report NPD has put forward, the first position in the 3D TV segment in North America is taken by Samsung, followed by Sony, Panasonic and LG with respective market shares being 25.8 percent, 13.9 percent and 6.6 percent. Similarly, 3D TV sales pattern for the European region during the January February period as has been found out by GFK reveal Samsung to be the biggest player with a market share of 49.9 percent followed by a similar Sony, Panasonic and LG layout with market shares of of 23.4, 10.2 and 7.7 respectively. However, the script changes dramatically in China where its LG that has emerged as the dominant player in the FPR 3D TV segment. Something that has been corroborated be the China based market research firm, AVC. Sales data reveal over 55 percent of total share of the television market in China belong to LG. This has helped it to surpass the sales of SG 3D TVs for the first time after a span of 5 months. The LCD 3D TV market itself has grown 6.7 percent in China on the back of a spike in sales.

Market makers now marking the price up. DDD’s TriDef 3D conversion technologies automatically convert 2D movies and shows to 3D, so that everything you watch can be in 3D. http://www.ddd.com/tridef-products/tridef-digital/
Ground floor entry leve towards the sky. Now 2 more buy block prints of 156000 shares after the 500000 and 560000 buys. I rate DD biggest BUY rec of all time.
2 trades have just been published, 1 for 500,000 shares at 33p and one for over 500,000 shares also at 33p, so unless there is something still going on in the background ignore my earlier comment re sell order in the background!!
interesting news about the 3D mobile, any idea who the manufacturer was? O/T but I noted your comment about working for a semi-conductor company. I would like to hear your thoughts on whether you feel alkaline fuel-cells could be integrated into the semi-conductor infrastructure as a means of producing clean electricity and also ultra-clean water as a by-product, which I know that industry require a huge amount of. I know your thoughts would be greatly appreciated on the AFC Energy forum on the website below: http://www.investorsclub.org.uk/ Signing up is very quick and easy =)
despite those 2 buys at 32.5p the buy price has fallen below the mid-price now with buys going through at 32.45p, so they will show as sells on here. You have to ask yourself why MMs would want to gradually drop the price you pay for their shares, the obvious answer for me is that they are trying to encourage buyers to help fill a sell order in the background. If that is the case then maybe once it is filled the SP can move freely based on buys vs sells. Still very low volume today, only 160,000 shares traded, and although the possibility of a sell order could add up to 100,000 more, we need to see volumes approaching the million level to really move forward from this SP IMO.
http://www.ddd.com/tridef-products/tridef-mobile/ There was a demonstation at the mobile phone shop a few days ago . I went to see the new 3d.Only problem was there was a queue of youngsters about 200 deep wanting to also see the 3d mobile(still not for sale as of yet in this country)To cut a long story short I found out that the phone in question that was on demonstation was using DDD 3d technology.
anyone from here attending today's AGM? Would be interesting to hear their thoughts and summary of the meeting. News today is obviously good but the market seems unsure. Mostly buys but the price they are being filled at has been slowly dropping from 32.95p at one point to 32.6p now, not a good sign IMO.
Well done board of directors and keep working hard. You are doing a great job. I worked for a top semi conductor firm in the early days and when I left the share price had gone up 16000% Yes and I have total faith in this company.
samsung lg all signed up.Looking at about 200p a share this time next year. And into profit next year.;-) WOW!!

Looking at the key performance indicator comparisons, this company has done an excellent job over the last 12 months. If this continues as expected, we have a great future ahead and a share price which is in my opinion excellent value.

it wasn't me.
Does that announcement by Intel perhaps involve the DDD technology?

Only 5 buys going through today on AIM! but two at £19k and three around £50-£70k. even though there were more sells the spend was £214,360 vs £60,475 and volumes at 550,00 vs 160557 - looks like again the bigger boys are taking their positions.
