I bought into DDD this morning after seeing the news about sony. I havnt been a big believer in 3D so far but after watching the chris yewdall interview i think DDD are going to big movers, the system they have allows you to watch you games in 3D without having to rebuy the game or dvd,. Its a bit of a shame about the glasses they look a bit naff, but i think i will be treating myself to a new TV soon.
I cannot help but feel this is just the start of a fantastic journey for DDD. I make a point of scanning all the 3D news every day and the 3D market just seem to be going from strength to strength. There have been naysayers for the 3D revolution, but it seem like they are swimming against the tide when you have such heavy weights like James Cameron as well as many of the global PC, TV and mobile phone manufacturers pushing 3D out through a variety of application. I have a Samsung 3D TV and just love it!!!! There are some huge movies coming to 3D in the next 12 months like Titanic, Top Gun and Star Wars, bring it on I say…...it will just polarize the current 3D revolution that is underway. The Lion King 3D was a runaway success.
I like it alot I do!

Blackrock hedge fund takes a position; they are no fools and obviously see this company having some significant upside over the coming years with the growth of 3D.

CONT In the TV market, Samsung expanded its product line in the first half of 2011 and began shipping Blu-ray disc players and PC monitors incorporating the Group's 2D to 3D conversion technology under license. DDD also implemented the TriDef 3D Mobile software on the Texas Instrument's TI OMAP processors for Android smart phones and tablet PCs. This resulted in the Group signing a two year license agreement with LG Electronics, giving LG the rights to install the TriDef 3D Mobile 2D to 3D video conversion software in the LG Optimus 3D 'glasses-free' smartphone. In addition to the OMAP processors, the TriDef Mobile Android application is also integrated with three other mobile processors from un-named chip makers. Consistent with the growing demand for the Group's TriDef solutions, DDD continued to develop its engineering team, adding a new PC game testing group in Australia and expanding its mobile software engineering resources. DDD has also expanded its patent library adding further patents awarded in the United States, Japan, China and the Philippines for its 2D to 3D conversion and 3D encoding technologies. This brings the total number of currently issued patents to 53 across 24 countries. Results for the first half of 2011 are expected to be published in late September.
