In response, Canaccord Genuity reiterated its “buy” recommendation “We forecast DDD’s total shipments quadruple to almost 10 million units in 2011 from 2.5 million in 2010 as TV chip shipments accelerate and PC shipments ramp. We expect revenue to more than double to £3.5m in 2011 from £1.3m in 2010, allowing DDD to break even in 2011,” said the broker."
In reply to my email: "Beyond what is mentioned in the RNS, we are not able to discuss the terms of the agreement since they are confidential however we can confirm that DDD’s PC licensees receive similar terms with respect to pricing and incentives. Similarly we are not able to discuss potential volumes of Intel’s Sandybridge 3D capable processors ahead of their adoption by OEMs; However, we do anticipate providing updated guidance on TriDef IP shipments at regularly scheduled events during the year. Kindest regards, DDD Group plc"
The two-year license agreement allows Intel to supply DDD's TriDef 3D Experience software with Intel's 3D PC processors directly to original equipment manufacturers ("OEM"s) and also in retail 3D accessory packs. DDD will receive quarterly royalties from Intel based on the volume of OEM and retail software products shipped. It is expected that OEMs will begin shipping the combined solution during the second half of 2011. Chris Yewdall, Chief Executive of DDD said: "The partnership with Intel is the culmination of many months of close collaboration with Intel's PC Client Group team and is a major milestone for DDD. "Intel's selection of TriDef to enable significant aspects of their 3D product offering underscores the recent progress we have made in delivering a market-leading 3D content solution for the PC market."
I don't think the market yet fully appreciates the significance of this announcement. It will be just a matter of time. The next 12 months should be an interesting ride......much more upside than downside from here. Broking houses will now start to take some notice and rate the stock in a 3D market that just continues to grow each day.
Huge buy day. Looks like the last one of the day was a buy, as the bid had moved down to 38.00 so would make sense for the 38.95 to be a buy.... agree? If so, plus all the others in the day that went through at 39 so didn't register correctly, it makes volumes today at 3,263,157 buys vs 245,060 sells or £1,273,005 vs £93,872........ with big ones going through at 3x£100k, 1x£200k and at £300k - gives some confidence to put money in when pay check clears!

Speaking the obvious,If you took one billion chips with a conservative royalty of say 15p per chip, you will soon work out why this company is undervalued and that is without gaming, mobile phones and cinema
I have just sent an email to DDD asking if they can shed any more light on anticipated volumes of sales, and royalty per unit. I will post if they reply with any useful information and are happy for me to share in a forum.
Assuming conservatively that Intel sell 200m new chips per year, and DDD get a conservative 10p royalty per chip, they get £20m a year revenue from this. Its nuts. Or am I misunderstanding something? The current cap is waaaay undervalued if so.
Hi all, This RNS looks like massive news, with me now hastily reading through previous ones before deciding to invest. It's one thing to get a few manufacturers on board, but Intel is surely a different beast? I hope I'm not showing up a massive lack of knowledge!

Very nice indeed. Confirmation that link up is with Intel
Found the answer to my question - the chips will ALL have the DDD software included !!1!
Any thoughts on what proportion of Intels chips will include the DDD technology if all goes to plan? They already plan to be selling a billion chips per year, so it needn't be a high proportion for a company worth 50m to make a healthy profit.
