Just wondering if someone could please explain what is the difference between the Dolby 2D to 3D conversion and DDD's? From what I can see contents needs to be coded to Dolby 3D and DDD runs algorithms that work with all content. Is Dolby a thread to DDD as they seem to have James Cameron on side.
So where to from here? Anyone seen a current research report post the trading update?
Doubt very much it will fall that low. Glasses free 3D tablets are the next big trend, going to buy one myself to play any native 2D contents that can be converted to 3D without glasses with the DDD conversion engine. There is a long way to go in 3D yet as the glass free revolution will come sooner than you think. I would it be surprise if Samsung tablets also go that way soon.
Bit of a disappointing result for the half year.
Blackrock still had over 5m share at the end of June, we could assume that is them still dumping their holding. Management have done a poor job of lining up a buyer for such a large line that wanted to sell.
Getting Black Rock off the roof, they have been sitting on it for a while now.
I guess market forces have to work in the end as good news builds, either it gets taken over, or the share price begins to reflect the true potential.
I am actually surprised Techradar did not pick up that Samsung has a licence deal with DDD with the software to perform this 2D to 3D conversion. It is looking like 2D to 3D conversion will become a standard feature in the Samsung Galaxy devices moving forward if they are lodging a trademark for the feature. I guess watch this space as mobile device integration would be huge for DDD.

Just wondering where you have read about a US listing? It seems as though the stock does not get too much interest on the AIMS market, so it would be a good move. It seems that 3D is going crazy in China.
It seems that DDD was heading in to a very good year with revenue, and even profitability and the share price continues to slide south. 3D even seems to be gaining more penetration and acceptance globally, anyone have any theories or suggestions?
TPV Technology ship 85 million display units and turn over $5 billion in revenue.....a significant company. DDD just go from strength to strength.
I cannot help but feel this is just the start of a fantastic journey for DDD. I make a point of scanning all the 3D news every day and the 3D market just seem to be going from strength to strength. There have been naysayers for the 3D revolution, but it seem like they are swimming against the tide when you have such heavy weights like James Cameron as well as many of the global PC, TV and mobile phone manufacturers pushing 3D out through a variety of application. I have a Samsung 3D TV and just love it!!!! There are some huge movies coming to 3D in the next 12 months like Titanic, Top Gun and Star Wars, bring it on I say…...it will just polarize the current 3D revolution that is underway. The Lion King 3D was a runaway success.
Blackrock hedge fund takes a position; they are no fools and obviously see this company having some significant upside over the coming years with the growth of 3D.
Does that announcement by Intel perhaps involve the DDD technology?
I don't think the market yet fully appreciates the significance of this announcement. It will be just a matter of time. The next 12 months should be an interesting ride......much more upside than downside from here. Broking houses will now start to take some notice and rate the stock in a 3D market that just continues to grow each day.
It is obvious that the trend in 3D is on the up and up and DDD are very well placed to participate in this future growth and trend in 3D technologies. They have their fingers some very serious 3D pies, so I would not be surprised to see the share price substantially higher over the next 6 months. 5 million shares in turnover may have taken out some stale bulls, so a new base of buyers is being formed around the current price that should allow it to make a move higher with the trending momentum in 3D. After a fairly long wait and some false starts….this next 12 months looks very exciting.
