has been a good morning ,after rns ,regretting did not buy more before Todays rns .
Someone’s just paid 89.5p for 6480 shares!
Yep that was me. It’ll show up in a minute.
I’m done now. Can’t flip anymore today the dog needs a walk!
Enjoy the ride all, it’s been a long wait!

It's really helpful that there's so few shares in issue here Qd22, means that every 10% rise doesn't actually add that much to the market cap.
Trek,
"If anything that’s the problem Directa now have scaling up. Gonna get very interesting here."
They're already expanding, see recent Cenkos note :-)
"The company is currently investing €0.3m in capacity upgrade which is expected to increase the capacity of 2D materials to around 28 tonnes per annum. To be clear this plant will be able to produce either 55tpa of 3D or 28tpa of 2D and any mix in between."
"the company believes an investment of €0.4m would add another 20tpa of 2D capacity (plasma expansion, exfoliation
and drying)."
Thanks Nickel. Thanks for the tip. Usually I avoid oil and gas for environmental reasons, but this mornings RNS puts a question mark against that as sulphur for batteries - if this were to be 'the' tech - is largely extracted from oil and gas, as contaminants. Will not be able to resist looking!
Top of AIM and very few sellers in sight. When material newsflow lands the market knows, it's as simple as that.
And guess where the Tesla gigafactory is!! NEVADA
https://investingnews.com/daily/tech-investing/nanoscience-investing/graphene-investing/graphene-battery-tesla/
The bigger picture is looking a whole lot bigger!!
Gosh, I am trying to have a bit of a pf rejig to buy more. Literally I couldn’t care less on price up to £1 for now.
This line says it all...
“....we look forward to shipping these next generation batteries to our long-term partners and first strategic customers”
That means production. Wakey wakey. It’s not in a lab or waiting patents, funding or all the usual spin we get. It’s production! Albeit to an initial select market but with the power, weight and ESG credentials I don’t see why even just a few of the customers wouldn’t want more. The market opportunity is huge!
If anything that’s the problem Directa now have scaling up. Gonna get very interesting here.
I expect manufacturing/royalty deals to follow in the not to distant future with big chemical manufacturer(s).
Usual caveats
Trek
*shots, not short
Trek,
You've always said we've got many short on goal(even before the Battery news). e.g
- Longer lasting and more environmentally friendly, reusable roads with Gipave. Oxfordshire trial is now 1 year done, so I'd hope for an update. Plus maybe updates from all the other Italian test sites?
- Grapysorber that just sucks up oil spills like nothing else
- Longer lasting tyres(ps European patent should come soon I see, to go with recent Chinese one)
- Anti covid 19 fabrics for everyday use
- plus lots more
Our largest billionaire shareholder(PSS) must be keep to snap the lot up now. Today's RNS fits so well in with what Nant Energy are doing. Plus, as I posted before, the CTO of NexTech(Fabio Albano) was once CTO of Nant Energy . BTW and a bit off topic...he was previous VP of battery systems at Fisker, where he has a court case open since august, due to him giving them all his patents for share options, which Fisker have refused to pay, due to him being forced out. PSS gave him a job straight away. I read the case last month. Quite interesting read - https://www.baldwinlawgroup.com/documents/Albano-v.-Fisker-LA-County-Superior-Court.pdf
Hi Qd22 - on Metro, i had a limit order for £1 and when I tried to cancel it , i couldn't so I ended up exiting for a pretty big return from only 60p a week or so before.. Fantastic you joined, great to hear when others also are making the gains. Don't know if you do Oil and gas but if you do, then maybe take a look at JKX also. It's got around $21m in cash and gas inventory and is likely to have closer to $45-$50m (by the end of 2021). Last quarter they increased cash and inventory by $5m when natural gas prices were 50% lower (so my above target of $50m next year could look very conservative). They have no debt, 10kboepd and the best bit ... the market cap is only around £50m. Anyway, I think it's a slam dunk buy as when it was trading in the 60s last it had less production, debt, less net cash. Anyway, I won't fill this board with anymore on them but worth a look.
on DCTA, This looks very good, glad i'm in here now - I wanted some exposure to this space and now i have it
I’ve Wanted to be in a battery play for a while the rns looks belting they now seem to have market leading technology. My only question is how long for? Tesla are goin for a million mile one so I believe
Good to see you here, Nickel. It was you that brought my attention to MTRO, and I've done well from that - are you still there? You've not been commenting.
Sorry to be off-topic, people!
On topic, this is a great RNS. Battery tech could be the biggest growth area of the next 30 years, and this combination sounds great, though I know nothing of the tech. It seems to me that hundreds of firms are chasing new ideas, and many will not continue, but perhaps there are less options in the area of the electrodes, and if DCTA has the lead there with graphene this may be applicable whatever storage tech it is that rises to the top. :))
Me to at around 78p. The market is asleep this is huge news!
Typical of AIM you sit in a stock for years with all the good news ignored then you get one RNS that changes everything. Imo this is it. It’s hard currency, it’s sales at volume, its protected USP IP.
I wouldn’t be surprised to see a bid now.
Thanks for the heads up itsyou, great research.
Trek
Just managed to get a few more at 77p, peanuts though as no larger amounts available. This will be over £1 at some point
Trek,
Seller(Cantor related?) cleared(missing) since Friday. The buyer that was happy to take them at 60p is still there. Cantor(when they were our Nomad, but have now stopped being Nomad for all small caps) used to have a tight spread; since Cenkos took over they first went to 10p spread, then 30p last week; now 50p today.
A few extra bit of info from NexTech's Linkedin page, with the last paragraph saying it all!
"NexTech was founded in May 2016 on lithium-sulfur (Li-S) battery research originally conducted at Lawrence Berkeley National Lab (LBNL) that began in 1999 under the direction Prof. Elton Cairns. Since then, NexTech has established its headquarters in Carson City, NV after operating in the Nevada Center for Applied Research (NCAR) for over two years. NexTech has recently expanded into a new facility in Carson City, NV, which houses our new pouch cell fabrication pilot line, dry-room and clean-room facilities, and growing staff. NexTech’s talented technical staff includes Ph.D. scientists, engineers and management with previous experience at companies such as Tesla, Fisker, XALT, HP, Intel, Broadcom, Amdahl and Toyota.
NexTech ESG policy includes 99+% recyclability of our battery materials at end of life, usage of sustainable earth-abundant raw materials that can be sourced easily, sustainably and ubiquitously on the planet. The company plans on having a carbon-neutral footprint wherein the mining of raw materials is conducted using electrified earth moving equipment to abate emissions and the battery manufacturing is done using water as the solvent, with vapor as the only plant emission.
NexTech has filed more than 20 domestic and international patents to cover its technology achievements fencing off the competition in most relevant battery markets. NexTech has made significant advances in many areas of cell development and performance since our inception. We have successfully demonstrated performance in excess of 400 Wh/kg in our current prototype multi amp-hour pouch cells. NexTech currently has in development a number of technologies including several solid-state electrolyte formulations, coated separators, active materials, cathode systems, and a state-of-the-art battery management system (BMS).
NexTech has signed several MOUs with large OEMs considering our chemistry as a superior solution for their application."
Wanted to average up and buy more but that's impossible - no prices
Could be. That's an awesome update.
Not that it matters but I can sell 30k but can’t buy 2k shares.
Itsyou will confirm but it indicates our seller is either asleep or gone. This should spike back to the 70’s now.
Trek
no commitment yet i shall wait until then before adding have got enough in here at higher prices.
Absolutely amazing news. DCTA now have a constant sales outlet, sell whatever they make!
I added 5000 and then 2500. Cant buy any more as all NT and no price guarantee. I will try to add again later today.
