Markets used to being able to sell the spike here as they don't historically have a lot of follow up news.
Gipave trials never became contracts, not as yet anyway, and the mask launch seemed to fizzle newswise too.
If they can address that and catch the sellers out once or twice things may change. imo.
More impatient sellers look to be taking profit ,if this drops back to 60 ,where was at start of week ,they might be correct with their decision to take profits ,if any more good news in future weeks ,might they regret selling .d y o r
This to me is another really big one itsyou , this really will be a company maker. What , with the battery news , this on top will really blow the roof imho.
It's gonna get big pretty quick from here me thinks.
Not to mention Graysoforber...cannot believe that's not headline news.
Lithium cobalt oxide batteries have a high energy density of 150-200 Wh/kg. Their cathode is made up of cobalt oxide with the typical carbon anode, with a layered structure that moves lithium-ions from anode to the cathode and back.Aug 21, 2020.
We have double that. Absolutely amazing.
Batteries are just the start. This has so much potential and its mcap just 50 million. Adding as much as can under 100p.
Hi,
new here and just looking at the mo but certainly looks interesting.
do they have the patent etc for graphene - ie if tesla are developing a graphene battery will they be involved somehow?
sorry for the basic question .
what happened with the masks?
thanks
Sorry, Subject should've read "Gipave?" as there's no direct reference to it, as they are still in UK trials.

Newbies, please listen to Trek, always wise words. Also look at the many avenues they are they developing. They have some fascinating products, well worth the research and in my opinion a lot of potential.

With share price up around 7% shorters not having a good day
Shorters dont really effect my buying plans ,when I bought into ncyt at above £2 did not worry about shorters then
Still thinking looking at selling pattern that shorters here since this weeks 40% share price rise ,
they currently not winning ,with a blue day Today ,
personly plan to build up a holdering here
This is nowt to do with shorters. For sure there are MM games as they dropped the price yesterday by swapping small trades to force sellers. They may then raise it today to force buyers and keep liquidity due to the small float. It’s their jobs. However, in the scheme of things 10p here is probably irrelevant.
Don’t you see. An exclusivity deal between DCTA and NexTech who’s major customer is ARL and want the cutting edge battery tech means not only DCTA but NeXTech can’t go elsewhere for 5years!!
That is an amazing mark of confidence together with the increased PRODUCTION CAPACITY. It’s a series of events that is on the potentially on the border of multi million £ deals!!
Look at DCTA’s mcap £54m do you know how a £5m deal can transform that. What about £8m. What about say £8m a year for 5 years. What about even more!
Thing is without sounding to rampy we don’t know. But as an investor I can only look at all the data and it points towards a significant chance of a huge re-rate from here! That’s just on batteries.
DCTA have many shots on goal. For sure most have been slow coming through often for reasons beyond the science but when you have so many shots you eventually get a break, then often another and things quickly transform.
Imo that at last is where we are!

nice to see blue again Today ,
not good for the shorters ,
Usually, any company associated with the word graphene ... sees me reaching for a 3M & a pair of asbestos gloves ! Now that the deep state has green energy at the top of it’s next money grab ... DCTA looks interesting. BW
NexTech having ARL as a major customer is a very big deal! VRS are flying at the moment for their latest RNS which amounts to a UK defence grant to investigate composite graphene applications and produce a paper in a couple of years.
ARL are about AI, driverless defence vehicles, autonomous/semi autonomous defence....well if you cut through the blurb it’s pretty much all batteries!
https://www.arl.army.mil/what-we-do/essential-research-programs/
And we know NexTech are from RNS...
“NexTech is in the process of scaling up its manufacturing in order to meet increasing demand from customers for its batteries.”
This isn’t a ‘writing a paper’, ‘jam tomorrow rns’ it’s field trials with the expectation of orders. If NeXTech land big orders from ARL it’s like well, the equivalent to FDA approval for a new drug! It completely derisks the tech and validates the order book.
From DCTA’s perspective
“Subject to the achievement of minimum sales orders, Directa Plus has granted NexTech an exclusivity period of five years in the field of Lithium Sulphur batteries.”
That’s a pretty decent income stream and a fantastic working partnership.
ARL is only one of NexTechs customers.
Electric mobility is at the heart of their business. You can be sure ARL endorsement will mean many new customers dare I conjecture even more in the electric car space.
Usual caveats

Pump & dump? Did you not read the RNS DD77? After a 48%rise this was always going to fall back a bit. No pump & dump here mate , this will be powering on very soon.
I very much doubt there are any shorts here. There isn’t enough liquidity. The SP is being managed by the MM to generate liquidity. Look at all the single/double digit trades. The same happened at ARB when it was in 4p range and can be seen across many AIM stocks.
There is plenty of news coming up across the verticals and when battery orders come through from new and existing customers this should really take off.
Trek
sellers ,look to be making so easy for the shorters ,looking at the sells already Today .
if people read rns and do their own research hoping might make it more difficult fior shorters to lower share price .
each person will make their own investing decisions .not nice to see this drop with share price already Today ,
Looks like a bit of pump and dump here. Been following for the past year and was very pleased to see the potentially groundbreaking news reported yesterday. I’ve learned by now never to buy on the spike! Will continue to monitor now but will be looking for an entry point in the coming months when I can free up some capital from elsewhere. GLA
From armchairtrader...
“Directa Plus [LON:DCTA] pushed its way to the top of the leader board today, adding 48% in the wake of news that a collaboration partner had made significant progress in using the company’s technology to develop a more efficient battery. An energy density of 410Wh/kg was achieved – that’s two to four times better than a standard Lithium-Ion cell.”
2-4 x more energy, lighter and the increased power over lithium. The 400Wh/kg bridge Is the ‘Holy Grail’ that’s pretty significant, and already produced for select customers.
Expect a bit of volatility here as there are relatively few shares in free float.
Trek
Amen.
This is a welcome rise , but just back to where we have been before. It was quite depressing and shocking at how the sp was dripping away without news or sales. This should now hold in the 80's with the battery news. More good news will see us nearer 150p within 6 months i am hoping and guessing.
How lucky were the directors to issue the options @ 66p last week? Just before this news broke .
yes PR isn't this companies great forte lets hope it gets better to maintain the rise ( otherwise)...
