It is a message for sure, each of us now has to work out is it a positive or negative one.
I am going for a positive and will be bold to say the message of encouraging investors to participate in the 15p share offer and the reason being to expect a sale of considerable more value.
I hope this is a nod, but we will have to see.
Isapension, yes that tweet is quite interesting - could be a clue from Onion Head that things are progressing towards a sale. If they are not then he shouldn't have bothered with such a tweet so I am inclined to see it as a good sign. Hopefully not just more Onion BS....................
Like others I have been surprised at the lack of news flow however the SP does seem to have found a floor!
Equally CNR have tweeted an old interview asking the question what will happy with monies from a sale!
In my opinion it is bordering on unscrupulous behaviour and at best disgusting marketing if the prospect of a sale isn’t progressing!
Or could this be the board saying watch and wait!
I honestly haven’t a clue, am I being naive??
What we do know is that as soon as MC is able to update on the sales process he will. as we saw with Shanta it is not ok to say there have been multiple offers that the board are seriously looking at and if he says that we know that is more than $100m. He does not need to state amounts but simply even letting shareholders know the board are "seriously" looking at offers tells us plenty. On the other hand a white knight partner might come in and take a 40% stake in Condor together with the full finance and crack on. So many major miners have billions in the bank and nowhere to park it and here we have a readymade mine that can be up and running with 12 month payback on the investment. Not many of those types of projects around so i am feeling confident the next RNS will be positive and head back to 30p where we should be along with Calibre and all the rest of the gold miners that are firing higher on gold above 1900 and 2000 seems very likely in the coming weeks.
ddd - I appreciate all the work you've put in to trying to work out whats going on - timelines, sale price, distribution of funds, etc. You've put a lot of work into it all, and we all appreciate your efforts.
However, I think there is a danger in trying to extrapolate too much from too little information. We all desperately want to know what's going on of course, but we have so little concrete information to go on that just about *any* prediction could be well wide of the mark. Sometimes I feel it's better just to admit that "we don't know" rather than gaining a false sense of confidence from trying to predict things that are nigh-on impossible to accurately predict. Just my 2p.
I had pencilled in today as a possible RNS update day, so I have to profess disappointment at the lack of one. I’m not really sure what to infer from the lack of news. It could be that they have a far more generous timeline than I assumed, or maybe the interest is not there at the prices looked for. No news will continue to be interpreted as bad news by the market as Condor bumps across the bottom.
What’s the difference between mc and mayor khan nothing they both believe there own bull hit
MC is the worst CEO in history....
Drowned in targets that clown
Yep I get that..updates have been non existent..Mark is approachable and does converse though.
I did ask about any updates but he couldn't comment.
barnard, if he can't say anything why promise regular updates throughout Q1? Classic Onion Head BS. I'm still hoping for a miracle here, after 13 years of pain but I really don't believe a word he says anymore.
There will be NDAs on top of NDAs. Not suprised he can't say anything. Doubt you can read much into that, positive or negative, apart from that some conversations must be ongoing, so there must be some interest of some kind.
I've been in touch with him but he can't say anything..which is fair enough. The fact he can't say anything could be a positive..maybe..?
Yep, well done Onion Head! Really enjoying all these promised regular updates throughout Q1. Surely he knows how many bidders, if any, are left in this sale process by now?!
Is it MC trying to breathe life into Condor making these random trades..
Diss poor show with onion head telling the world about he vision on gold getting digitalised and approaching 2k or all time highs and he’s about to tank away a multi multi million pound gold find. Now where’s them teasers
Fed has scaled back to only a 25 basis points rise. It's seen as dovish. A return to $2000 could be on the cards sooner than we think, although Condor seems immune to any excitement.
It's somewhat ironic to think that not getting a bid (and announcing the fact) could well put the SP back up to 30p+ again. Is (cosmetically) bad news actually good news? Much as I would like to exit Condor, I would much rather just know what's going on. Are we still selling, or are we back on the road to production again? Maybe the old 'build it and they will come' is a better way of selling Condor than a pre-production asset sale.
Stock market is starting to make sizeable jumps for many gold companies but we are still languishing 50% down and i note Calibre have doubled from their lows. I think we are now just 10% of value of Calibre so it would be almost immaterial for Calibre to make an offer as they are flying along. We certainly cant be waiting much longer for an update unless they plan to simply state asset is sold or some other alternative strategy. We are now into third month of sale phase and surely by now serious interest would have showed their hand and MC has to stop timewasters counting down the clock. decisivness is key and never had “speed is the essence” have more meaning as 3 months of nothing is a long time and with only a handful of trades we need some update to confirm number of offers and guidance sale price or simply crack on as $2000 gold is a very real likelihood.
Gold has just broken 1950. Gold stocks should reflect this tomorrow including CNR perhaps!
I bought ITS below 6 now over 8 , took some cgo below 5.5 a couple of others but point is I'd have had larger exposure to other possibilities rather than radio silence here
I'm no tipster though mate! Just had a bit of luck over the last couple of weeks.
I'm invested in DEV so don't listen to me! Haha.
Any tips Barnard?;-)
Well I'm seriously thinking another 4-6 weeks and if we hear nothing I'm away..I could have used this money here in a couple of decent trades as a few company's I follow are waking up..come on MC we can't ass about forever.
I had Friday targeted as a possible update day. It does feel like we should be appraised on the situation, even if it’s to say no serious bids yet. If nothing is forthcoming I guess my ‘by end March’ aspiration is dead in the water.
Share price is the midway between bid and ask currently 17.5p. The first transaction is at 17.38 which is .12p below the mid price.
That is indeed what I meant Mr Gamer.
what are you talking about? There was no "official sale date".
Do you mean, RNS re notification TO sell?
Which - doesn't mean anything... If Mark's response yesterday is anything to go by, there's literally nothing yet on the table. I sincerely hope I'm wrong!
also - how do we close at a8, open at 17.38 and Google assumes a drop of 0.12, or .7%? This never made sense to me.
