Does anyone have an idea as to what has produced the drop in share price to 44p to date today. It has been maintaining a steady level of 46 - 47.5p for some time. How are these shares valued? Surely not according to the recorded trades of which there have been very few today.
mrcautios, your info is incorrect. CF also provide sub 1Gig ccts to business customers via resellers using basic GPON technolology which has it's limitations.
Yes perfectly true you can use 1 fibre with disparate wavelengths for each channel in each direction. But as I said CF are not a service provider they are a wholesale connectivity/infrastructure provider.
My understanding of it is that the cable is the cable and the service provider can throttle up or down the speeds to suit the customers requirements We have a service provider called Gigaclear and they have various packages from 50mbps up to 1gbps depending on the customers requirements Another thought of coarse as the Have this network the big boys could just buy them out or rent space from them another reason to hold
