Very true Mark RS. When you listened to the analysts at the Q & A session at the end of yesterday's results presentation, the Morgan Stanley, Bank of America, and Citibank analysts were all pretty satisfied with Mooky and Nisen's responses. No doubt they have been gobbling the super cheap shares up from around the 40-42p they were at yesterday.
Expecting some RNS's early next week.
All good for CINE.
In this for 200k at 49.7p. Has given me some heart flutters from time to time, but it bounces back quickly from resistance points, so no sleepness nights, as this company isn't going anywhere but up.. GLA all CINE believers:)
Agreed Mark I totally agree all bad news, debts out the way . Cine will recover. I will listen to the recording of mooky today but seems reassuring Mooky wont let CINE go down hes got a few tricks up his sleeve
We and the big investors all know where this is going... it’s a very lucrative business and now we can start building this back up to where it should be
Plenty liquidity till September 2021
Jhango still stake building
Film Studios want to expand retail....movies theatres are fair game now
Plus VOD is easily hacked and made available free on the Internet, as has happened with Mulan.
Let's not forget as well as Bond we have Pixar's Soul coming out. Disney in its recent shake up have kept it where it is and haven't put it on Disney+ like some were predicting.
Morning all and echo the good post from Crumpets. Bond is indeed confirmed and the MGM and affiliation brand marketing is in full swing.
Omega and Nokia have released new videos and advertising material to align to this November.
As others have citied, cinema will be one of the few activities in the U.K. open after 10pm. This won’t impact the U.S where we can expect to see LA and San Fran opening 7th October according to the latest update from the California Governor.
The H1 and board updates specifically called out a need to see these cities reopen before the end of October of their projections for improvement on admissions are to materialise.
I’m keeping an eye out for updates across the pond more than the U.K.
@ Crumpets... good sensible / pragmatic post which is welcome given all the crazy talk yesterday, lets also see who will be buying up and selling off shares over the coming few trading days as it could give an insight to any possible positioning for a buy out... gla and DYOR
Ooh are vicar I do like a nice bit of crumpet :-))
I was going to stay away from this cess out of a board until December but to put a few things straight:
- In the conference call yesterday, Mooky stated that he's in DAILY talks with the studios and confirmed that MGM are releasing Bond in November.
- Waiver expected to be granted for December.
Of course it is.
Why would a bank recall billions in loans knowing it would bankrupt the business leaving it with only a fraction of what was owed?
Or... wait six months when vaccines are in play, NY and CA are fully open and get all your money back with serious amounts of interest?
Cinemas are not like traditional retail which has been on its arse for years.
The demand is there just as soon as they're allowed to operate normally.
Of course, there's always the risk that Covid is here until next summer but that's the gamble.
And I've slung my huge and heavy spuds firmly on the line that sees a vaccine green lit by year end.
And now I really truly am out of here til Xmas.
It's getting like Mumsnet with so much hysteria on this board lately.
Take care, all serious investors.
Luv and kisses, Crumpets.
Totally agree... everyone just jumping on that when they never listened to the live earnings (yes same figures but very different to the paper report in terms of how they spoke about things)
Very positive
You have to say mooky himself and I believe hsbc bank are the two biggest holders here so mooky will
Not want to de value his own families holdings as well
I do feel better now everything is on the table so we can Move onwards and upwards now
No way this is going under.
Also if extra cash is need. rights issues also don’t have to be public. What if Disney or WB come to a private deal and invest.
The dilution would have no effect but instead the share price would rocket!
Big things are coming! The risk vs reward is well worth it.
If cinemas close, that would mean pubs, restaurants and all indoor leisure facilities close, including gyms. Then watch companies go bankrupt. Sunak will be screaming during cabinet meetings now. We are past the point of financially being able to afford another lockdown. Two trillion in debt. Another lockdown, add another trillion and between 10-20% unemployment. The majority of which will be long term unemployment, so even greater strain on social services.
https://youtu.be/3U0JuOZK_Is Theatres May close down again
With the infection rate going up in uk do you think it still be on
They can do a staggered release
Bond will get released due to the complex nature of ownership and distribution rights. Once that starts taking massive numbers it might get the studios to play ball. Although I feel Mooky and AMC CEO as well as Cinemark CEO will be trying to get the studios to release blockbusters, with the threat of no cinemas being around in 2021 if things keep going as they are. Knowing how lots of films are financed, including studio pictures. There may be a willingness to release and take a chance of making money. Over not making any money at all if the cinemas all go bankrupt. Anything streamed soon gets hacked and put for free on the internet. The film industry cannot afford to be turned into the new Napster. Where people expect to watch films for free off the internet. IMO
If you listened to the
Live mooky interview I’m
Almost certain he said bond is confirmed for that date (they have to have a date and I’m
Sure Mooky will be pushing it)
Amazes me that a lot of people clearly haven’t even bothered to tune in as it spoke volumes over the RNS, gave a very different positive prospective on the way fwd
You never know.. maybe the climb starts tomorrow now the dust has settled
Indebtnow,
So what, why would you care? All your posts, all that time ****ging Cine, for what? Doesn't make sense, what has Cine done to you? Are you holding from Jan/Feb this year or before?
@ Indepthwins - Does your employer allow you to sleep mate , do you have a family or life ? given how much energy you put in dreamping this stock you could find another job that gives you and your family more time with each other. or it looks like you are sat at a corner street begging and this just your hobby?
Are you even invested in cineworld ? what brings you to this forum when you are so sure Cineworld is going to go bust ? are you trying to save the world ?
Get a life mate. get a girl or two make merry and leave us to peace.
Indebtnow,
Really why? It is not normal, going on for 1900 posts all negative about Cine, spanning months,
Sometimes spending all day talking Cine down
including weekends.
Do you need help?
The disclaimer of opinion was due to "lack of evidence", in my view the extreme variables and exceptional and uncertain nature of covid made it impossible for auditors to say yes or no as to whether they could agreed with cines report.
How can they confirm it now with this so much uncertainty aroumd
Exactly and wells aid Boix. Why are you so down-indepth ? You're really going for the kill Point-blank range !
Please indepthwins, at least let us die with our Cines shares in peace and dignity. GoodNight to all the long Cines share holders.
NoFear
Indebtnow,
Why are you so down on Cine?
