FunInvestor, you’re even worse than Bonkers when it comes to that:
19th Sept 19:30- ‘67% for one week in the UK is NOT hitting over 60% consistently for the business. With majority of business in USA.
Have a look at box office mojo it clearly shows where industry has been this year and continues to show.’ (We did indeed have a look at box office mojo and saw that Shang-Chi had yielded us nearly 67% of pre-covid figures including the USA on its release week)
19th Sept 17:59- ‘Every single record we can access shows attendance levels are nowhere near 90%. Indeed they have been a way short of 60%.’ (This was also incorrect data, as box office mojo was showing 66-67% of pre-covid figures the week before this)
19th Sept 13:51- (In reference to the debt facility) ‘Mountainous, with $170m quickly gone paying Regal shareholders with a further $96 having to be set aside to pay them no later than next March’ (I mentioned to you that day that the data was completely incorrect, as the $170m had been set aside beforehand)
15th Sept 10:49- ‘I forget the numbers, but it has been reported in the news.
The deaths/severe cases are VERY dominant in their make up. Like 80% or something.
Circa 5 million adults still with no vaccination for whatever reason.’ (A wholly negative post regarding COVID for some reason, I believe this was in response to a positive thread yet again)
8th Sept 22:42- ‘Company billions in debt and trading in the 45 - 55% of 2019 levels when require to be c. 90%’ (you posted this on yet another positive thread if I’m not mistaken, and not only that but the mentioned data was not correct according to what we saw on box office mojo, this was once again approx 66-67% from Shang-Chi)
You say that ‘much of the insightful research posts you (smalltrader) drool over hold little to no real value in regards Cineworld quite often’ Even if you think that it holds little to no value, at least the research he is doing is factual…
Which part of that is my Friday response to the rose?
Again one film, one weekend is NOT where we are at.
Go look at box office mojo for reality rather than fantasy of 80% levels.
YES in the UK we are now fairly regularly at around 75% pre-pandemic levels.
Our business will not thrive on UK figures.
USA is the key surely anyone with an ounce of sense agrees on that.
There we are NOT anywhere near regularly hitting such high levls.
Month on month the percentage in comparison to 2019 IS improving (might be c.55% or if lucky little more for September highest in % terms so far).
HOWEVER in actual revenue terms August and September will be less than July.
As I say things are overall seeming to improve, but I prefer to ground myself in reality rather than fantasy.
Show me my Friday dismissive posts thanks :-)
20th Sept I said no progess had been made on the s.p , it was currently at that time, low 60s , are you seriously suggesting I should of said progress had been made.
Idiot!!!!
Mountainous simply filter me like you said you were
Smalltrader I say it AGAIN show me a post a whole post unlike what idiot done and show me where I am DERAMPING being NEGATIVE or acting as a troll.
Jp68 thanks and totally agree with your post
Thanks Mountainous for exposing Funinvester. He was pathetically negative. He keeps banging on about BO still at 60% levels. But he doesn't want to acknowledge that it is at 60% levels not because of covid thing that he and his mob keeps feeding. It is at 60% because we don't have enough number of movies otherwise CINE trading conditions are back to precovid levels. With increased ticket prices and price increase for concession items, CINE are no doubt going to make much more revenue than in 2019. I said this many times but he always dismisses it and will mix the BO 60% revenue with cine finances to give a bleak picture of CINE.
Bonkers you are such a funny person you know.
You have called me an idiot based on that post. Well here’s the funny thing, you YOURSELF ADMITTED YOU WERE WRONG THAT DAY
please see evidence below:
20th Sept 16:06:
‘Fair enough mountainous I prob read it wrong , I get a bit touchy when people refer the s.p as being in a good place or if we have a 5% rise its a great day.
Rereading your post after your reply I see where your coming from’
hindsight is a lovely thing indeed…
Indeed smalltrader, we have seen it all at this point.
The fact is that he brings these negative comments in at the most inappropriate time when we are talking about something positive in that thread. He does it to diminish the mood and the encouragement. It doesn’t take a rocket scientist to see that.
smalltrader read the Mail article link below.
""But the release of Bond after an 18-month delay has pushed customer numbers to ten per cent higher than 2019..." HIGHER.
Big opportunity here to showcase cinemas for their relative safety and inexpensive form of entertainment and it's a great time to be putting the effort in ahead of the quality that's coming in that Q4 film slate.
A glitzy Premiere on Tuesday and Big Bond numbers for the opening weekend will breed their own headlines and those and word of mouth will create its own FOMO.
Then the stars and the full publicity machine (which has already started) then hop on a plane for round 2 in the US. etc etc
Any chance we can draw a line under this and start afresh tomorrow. This used to be a great bb, let sleeping dogs lie.
Let’s hope for a steady rise this coming week and let people be as positive or negative as they like.
Anyway back to the important thing today, digging my spuds up
Bonkers
What you wrote.
The rises are nice of course they are and we enjoy them when we can, but big well dones , pat on the backs and congratulations for holding through the thick and thin makes my stomach turn reading it.
It's as though everyone feels the jobs done and we are only jist over 70p.
The job is nowhere near done , and I can't believe I'm typing this but I have to echo what LPD said earlier , why is everyone getting excited with this current s.p and rise
First off the difference between your post and JPs post who agreed with you is that he was saying he personally was not happy. You on the other hand was sick to your stomach that others were celebrating!!! So it read like it was an attack on others for being happy and we all should be sad like you. And why was everyone celebrating.
You also said we should be putting celebrations on ice.
You do not know where everyone is at in their lives, you do not know everyones sp average, its not their fault that YOU are not happy. You keep saying find me a negitive post, well there you go Bonkers. You made every who was happy about the SP feel s hit.
If only you worded it about YOU were not happy, and YOU were holding out on celebrating the SP rise. Then fair enough as its your personal feelings. But you never.
I'm sick to death people saying that they deserve more as they have been in since last year. I was in last year, I stupidly cashed out on the second wave, I also invested in Carnival at £12 but cashed out now its £15, and other investments. I was 17k down, not much others might say, but if you only knew what my life has been like the last 2.5 years and what I've lost then you would know for me that loss was again another kick in the teeth.
But I have managed to get that loss down to 7k, through other investments. I was happy with that price rise along with others and YOU with your NEGITIVE post made us happy people feel uncomfortable that you were sick to your stomach that we were happy seeing the price rise.
Now do you get it?
That's my last post on this thread as you were keep insisting where have you been negitive....
Hello seddo, indeed we can.
I will leave this as it is now and I hope we can agree to disagree. Nobody wants a negative atmosphere.
Dragon9, FunInvestor, Bonkers, JG, smalltrader, lpd, and everyone else, I wish you a fantastic Sunday and a great week ahead.
P.w complete waffle and very little fact, again just filter me
You too Mountainous.
Have a good one and many more of them.
Here is to an upward trajectory in share price from here :-)
Absolutely FunInvestor, glad we could sort out our differences :)
So we had a good last week, what's predictions for next Friday close?
I would hope for at least 80p
GLA
Reppyrr in all honesty your proberbly better off asking that exact question in a new thread , you might get more of a responce that way mate.
