sadly this will continue to drift until meaningful news - good or bad can be issued / quantified. todays pre (D) FS is laughable after all this time. I would love to know what "interest" we have had in the project from the Chinese - when you read back the RNS's over the years we have had several "approaches" but never a tangible OFFER. When they say a company is "raising funds" have they made an approach with a price? What is this asset worth as it is? 15p, 30p 50p more??? I hope the BoD are not unrealistic on the valuation - I suppose IF they sell they lose their jobs and GOOD salaries.
The whole thing today is very disappointing. Don't suppose there is much downside so can't see much joy in trading out to trade back in. Surely most LTH's are seriously underwater so what's the point in them selling? Trouble is it's another wait. This time last year, nothing happened at all when the winter had set in. There won't be any news from the site until May I suppose so we just have to wait for the Chinese or a minor fund raise to keep afloat. Results won't be 'til June. Bit depressed over it all, but really there wasn't any bad news today just the comments on over-cautious DFS being prepared which is the norm for Chinese standards. Sounds as if we could easily be thinking of lots of different ways to exploit the resource above and beyond the DFS, so if the DFS doesn't bring funding, was it not a big mistake to use Nerin. Continue waiting.
The completed DFS could see us down to £0.04 the way this is going! The RNS seemed fairly positive to me. Strange the way the market reacts??? I still think super cheap at these prices.
Finally we get suss posed definite proof that this is a world class mine... and the share price goes down. And that is from a pathetically disjointly low price in the first place. Obviously most shareholders will be getting thoroughly bored of this share and happy to sell up and move on.
Can't see it really has done any good releasing the DDFS (Draft Definitive FS). We obviously have no idea when the Chinese authorities are going to sign-off - perhaps with Chinese New Year holidays we knew it couldn't be before Feb 16th, so they thought they might as well release. Presumably this might put the Bod out of any 'Closed Period' as everything is now in the public domain and perhaps they might be eager to purchase some shares - that might be interesting. I think having waited for so long we were all fairly resigned to the DFS not causing too much of a stir, but this DDFS has done nothing for our cause. It has spelled out a lot of possibilities and outlined that we definitely have a project given funding, but that was really a known anyway. I hope we don't have long to wait for Chinese ratification and then moves towards funding and a 'definite' plan because we're still in limbo with today's news.
Shares are still attractive as per DFS.
it might be impulsive but I don't think Chaarat is capable of financing, building and running a gold mine. Based on our current market cap there is no way we could raise the funds necessary to get this project started. I cannot see why anyone would want to do a JV and put up several $100m when they could just buy the company for peanuts and take 100% ownership of the project. If you agree terms with our biggest holder then the rest of us are forced to follow. Right now I would like to see the project sold for the best price possible.
With post tax NPV of USD350M and approx 270M shares in issue that is about GBP0.85 per share isn't it? I think GBP0.15 per share is being a bit impulsive. Worth a LOT more than that even on super-conservative estimates.
1. Sale of the asset - a mining group has already conducted thorough due diligence. We understand that the group is now in the process of raising funds. give us 15p and I will happily write this OFF>
Probably the most frustrating aspect is the lack of clarity on most of the major issues - financing, strategy, sign off etc and no visibility on the timeframe still for any of these things. The Chinese know how to play the long game. Maybe they will bore everyone out of this stock. It could be a further long wait. The only saving grace for holders is there shouldn't be much more scope for downside. One other thing, I wonder what those chaps and chapesses from Fasanara are thinking now re their investment?
We waited and waited and waited and waited... and this? The Chinese seem to be playing a ridiculous bureaucratic nonsense of a game. For goodness sake release the final DFS. It took our CEO to force out a final DRAFT version just so we shareholders can get an update. But this is not as good as the real thing and indicates on going delays and monkey business. The guts of the DRAFT seem perfectly good to me - especially given that we can regard the results as worse case/super conservative scenario. But the market could not be less interested so far! But it may take time for the information to sink in and hopefully Dekel will give some interviews now with an expansion of the situation. Share price has not quite jumped to 50p as some of us had hoped!

no danger of being caught out on the spike then - lol. This DDFS (Draft Definitive FS) seems to have posed more questions than it has answered. At least it looks like we definitely (!) have a project but still don't know what to do with it or how to fund it.
No-one expects it to fly on this news which may not matter over the next months. Stepptoe mentioned Condor which had a huge spike but has now retraced a lot.
You are right that this is not going to set the world alight but plenty of positives and little doubt that this will be a great producing asset in a year or two. Whether we will be sold, as the Mgmt desire, is likely IMO. With regards the Return on Investment ROI, Dekel states : "The return on investment shown in the study is on the low side by industry standards. The reason for this is the large upfront investment which delivers a highly capital intensive and mechanised mining process. In our view this assumed capital cost can be considerably reduced based on actual quotes we have already obtained. Chaarat and its advisers are now working on optimising this study in order to maintain the same low operating cost structure but to reduce, considerably, the upfront capital cost." Sounds like they don't wish to follow all the ideas of the DFS.
Finally we get it if, however, in draft form. Sounds like Dekel finally got as exasperated as ourselves. Reads quite conservative as, I suppose, the Chinese version of a Feasibility Study was duly bound to be. However, it's out there on the table for all to see and we're going ahead in one form or another: 1 Possible sale 2 Using external Toll production at nearby processing plant being built 3 Begin with the open Pit Tulkubush part --------------------------------- Funding/JV/Sale is therefore not yet.
Something tells me that this isn't going to get a resounding welcome by the market. AISC figure is very good but ROI isn't. Plus no approval still from the Chinese authorities. Hmmm. That all said this is now at such a depressed valuation any downside must be very limited. How much longer now until any further news? Feel for the loyal holders here.
Finally an RNS.
Plenty of the former at the moment. stepptoe - keep on popping in. cnr Condor certainly did get a good spike although retracing hard. Perhaps, Mr Carlos, we might copy them in the short term - I suppose that's always how spikes go.
You could hear a pin drop. Not a dicky bird. What on earth is going on??? Patience wearing to the bone. Story still excellent. Hopefully a good DFS to come. Gold price rising. Chinese keen to lend to development on the silk road. We get a Chinese partner. We get good Chinese finance. We start building the mine with Chinese contraction companies during 2016 and we start producing during 2017. A year earlier than planned. Still could all be on track. Just need to GET STARTED. Fingers and toes crossed.
Long time no hear! Welcome back.. It's good to hear some re assuring words. You referred to cnr... Who are these? And what are your SP predictions when it does go boom?
we are a world class asset when i see how quick cnr went i can wait here gla
OLI a redwood tree could reach maturity before the Chinese give approval
We are awaiting and I quote - "Chinese regulatory approvals for the DFS" - I would imagine unless we get these in the coming days then there will be a further delay for Chinese New Year. News cannot be far away.... I am assured that it will be this year.
