Serious volume today. Some people are building a position here ahead of the full year result/divi announcement?
Could always of been earlier! Agreed on the momentum - this is still under the radar so it feels as though this has been simply mispriced at the point they said sales were strong even after factoring in lockdown.
Jazz, it seems that you timed your top-up perfectly! Strong momentum here...
Ive added more here on the back of more thinking into this. I like shares with low market caps and no share chatter on the board, this tells me its something thats under the radar.
Any buying based on not much news to me indicates insider knowledge through low level employees, suppliers and in this case probably franchises.
Went to Cakebox yesterday, again impressed with the service, product and overall proposition.
This is still very much below the radar. Let's hope it can do something similar to Fevertree Drinks in the 2017-2019 period!
Feel im late to the party but put a very small amount into here.
I have been to a few of their stores multiple times and has been a excellent experience everytime and the cakes are always consistent.
In the asian culture whenever there is a big religous event these places are packed, all our birthdays are pretty much through cakebox with their cakes too.
Prices of the cakes are very reasonable, fresh, consisent.
Overall, theres a small bear case that they currently have a lot of the asian dominated areas of the country covered therefore how much more can they really grow, but equally the product should cover a wide basis of people and i currently only see most customers in the asian community but i can see this covering everyone.
Hence although location wise the expansion will rise but eventually reach a peak point, the volume each store could do could easily increase with more marketing and exposure.
i also think the supermarket play is a potential to take volume away from the franchises and cannibilise some volume but at the same time the exposure of cakebox may boost the sales from new customers again.
Also the fact the product lines are still very limited with no dine in, there is potential for more products and throwing in 1-2 tables into the bigger cakebox stores as you see with takeaways.
Overall - not sure if its currently overpriced as its gone up quite a bit, but equally theres a massive bull case scenario here with a tiny market cap backed by solid growth and value fundamentals.
Could be 20-30% down from here a year on but over 3-5 years could potentially 2-5 bag.

Great RNS. Look forward to the divi in 2021!
300p by the end of the year?
hi I always felt that 250p+ is the fair value for this share. Of course when we get more updates from the company SP target gets revised (hopefully up to 300p+ if news are positive). Positive forecast for 2021 could be key for the next move up if we want to break into 300p+ later this year
wcbham now that 250p has been reached are you setting a new target?
I still hope/expect £3+ once results are announced in April, I reckon many new investors will arrive and with continued expansion £5 upwards next year plus a decent dividend
Many of us are expecting positive trading results at the end of March so I reckon plenty will be topping up over the next few weeks.
I personally hope to see 300p + in April.
I have a feeling that 250p is coming soon. What I don't like is the spread on this share.
According to a lot of valuations I've seen, this share has been trading well below its value for a while. Hopefully, the market will soon garner the confidence to get the CBOX sp where it belongs: the high 250s! Solid fundamentals, well placed in a great, and growing, market with plenty of room for international expansion. Would love to see the selling off of some master franchises, especially in places with significant Hindu populations! Great product, great company, great prospects.
This didn't age well...
I agree with your Glenn. Just bought some CBOX shares today, being watching this one for a while now. A quality stock, with solid fundamentals, declared an interim divi in a difficult year which is very rare in retail/catering sector. Great potential, these prices won't last long...
Looks like we're finally starting to get a bit of volume on here. Hopefully soon the market will start realising CBOX's potential. All the target prices I've seen have been well above 250 which, given the strength of their financials and the resolve the company has shown over the past year, I do believe is at the bottom end of the range. I really do expect to see great things from CBOX - consistent, medium-speed, reliable growth is what I've experienced so far.
Looks like a tasty uptrend, hopefully I've not jinxed it.
Slowly creeping there. I think the UK growth will be easier given less competition for commercial property as well. But anyone who takes the time to read through the company's investment documents will realise what good investment potential is here - the business seems extremely well run and planned out.
Think this will finish around £2.10 today - stunning growth and great prospects here.
I love CBOX's business model, growth story and the opportunity they create for franchisees. Taking into account the expected UK growth the price still seems attractive, but growing online sales and a strengthening brand aren't. What I would love to see is some start to an international expansion, albeit unlikely in near future, but one can hope - this would send share price flying.
Still got your short open?
Too many homebakers, social distancing and lack of gathrings doesnt make this a viable company anymore for this year at least. Franchisers are busted
Any ideas why such a big 7p spread
good solid company with a decent nosiness model.
Does Woodford still own some of these? He did a few months back
Well they have added 9 new franchise stores recently....And that takes there stores up to 122 now, been a few less opening than last year ....
