JUST GIVE THE SHARE A LITTLE TIME
AGM is scheduled for 28 July. We should receive a Trading Update then. Will be interesting to see if all the anecdotal evidence of busy shops (I too have seen several) percolates into the numbers.
Impulsively I have bought another £18,000 of these today. 60% of my portfolio and tempted to go all in. Hope I’m not going to regret this! Ha ha
Agreed - this is only being dragged down by the wider market. If we don't see 90p by the end of the year I'll be very surprised.
Well done mate.you will be fine.I think market is very cautious at the moment. We seen it in March and April how quickly the share bounced back.once we are out of this 3rd wave of COVID I think the shares will jump up again.I have spoke to few of the card factory employees as I own a card shop myself, they all said they are really busy and hitting their targets.so fingers crossed
Rox,
I topped up yesterday. I’m incredibly confident, but CARD still only makes up 18% of my portfolio (I don’t like having more than 10% of my money in one stock). If I had 60% of my portfolio in one stock I wouldn’t be able to sleep at night! You’ve got some serious bottle. I take it you’ll be trimming on the way up to fair value?
Yes could be completely wrong (only time will tell) but I feel like an easy 50% increase is heading our way with Card and don’t want to miss it. If it comes off I will re balance my portfolio and put the £ back into Saga where I took it from. Hopefully Saga won’t double in the same time period. Now that would be funny! Ha ha
None of us really know what we are doing though do we?
Live by the sword die by the sword is my motto lol.
This trading update couldn’t come soon enough. Down nearly 15% in a month for little reason. Let’s break back into the 60’s asap
Roxbury,
From these lowly levels, I expect a 2x (at least) once we've adequately strengthened the balance and earnings have recovered to pre-Covid levels. The only question for me is how we're going to get there e.g. will a placing be used to get us there as quickly as possible. A quick glance as Saga's financials tells me that you'll probably live by the sword with CARD, prior to dying by the sword with Saga, so I can see where you're coming from :D
That £10,300 @ 56.99p is mine. This is about to blow I can feel it in my water. Ha ha
Walter Walter Walter who’s interested in your pathetic fantasy’s, constant drivel and shop stalking.
I don’t normally reply to these characters but this one is really funny! Click on his name and you will see he is stalking me over on the Saga board. Everyone ignores him over there also. Keep it up “jackbogle” I do genuinely find you entertaining but you must understand if you always tell the truth then you can’t trip yourself up. Everything I have ever written on here is true all backed up by my history.
Just shy of 400,000 of these now.
Stick that in your pipe and smoke it mate! Ha ha
Must be nice to have a fan.
Just shy of 400,000 of these now.
All in your ISA as well I bet.
Muppet.
Yes! Ha ha They actually are!
Love it. Bring it on mate. Only one winner.
Every single one of them is in my ISA.
Is anybody here clever enough to know how I can prove that?
Let’s see who the real Muppet is here.
Don’t go anywhere “Jackbogle” let’s see if you are a man or a mouse. I think we all know the answer and I am LOVING this! Ha ha
What’s the craic re the 22nd? Isn’t that the deadline for organising an equity raise. I thought I had read that somewhere in one of the previous RNS updates. Please do correct me if I’m wrong.
Hi SOH
RNS Number : 4057B
Card Factory PLC
10 June 2021
“Until the business has no outstanding CLBILS, there will be a prohibition of any payment to shareholders by way of dividend or share buy-back. Furthermore, the Group must use best efforts to raise £70m net equity by July 22, or alternatively to prepay £70m using funding from other subordinated sources”
Badly written RNS but if you read the paragraphs before and after the one I have copied and pasted above you will see see that’s it is July 2022 NOT July 22nd so plenty of time.
This typo is one of the reasons I am so heavily invested. I think people panicked and sold up driving the price down. Perfect buying opportunity.
The only gamble here is whether or not the shops will close again which I personally think will never happen.
Card Factory was sitting at £1.80 before Covid and a viable business and again only my opinion but I think this will be superseded in the next 6 to 12 months.
I also really don’t care if they do a RI but genuinely don’t think they will need to.
Superseded? *surpassed. Ha ha
I was amazed back in June when the above RNS was released that the Company didn’t clarify the above date because there is a BIG difference between July 22 and July 2022.
It was obvious to anybody who read the details correctly that they were never going to rearrange finance and then agree to paying off £70M 6 weeks later (July 22).
Next Thursday (July 22) this share will start its long recovery - you watch.
I will put my reputation on that Ha Ha
Should see an imminent rise then..
Well Lovelace my prediction was scarily accurate (that’s a first!) with a 8% rise.
While I’m on a roll I’m going to make 2 more:-
Firstly this is now the bottom (60p) and secondly Dean Hoyle will be joining the Card Factory on a consultancy basis.
Anybody else wish to make a prediction good or bad?
Good call Roxbury. I’m sceptical about Dean Hoyle climbing aboard, but I can strongly see £1 this year.
