I am wishing this would at the very least pop down a bit so I could top up ! Can only get 2.45 at the minute. If it doesn't fall by the close of Thursday I am just going to bite the bullet and go for it.
Ricardo has been selected by DongFeng Commercial Vehicle Co., Ltd. (DFCV) to support further development of heavy duty engines fuelled by natural gas for the Chinese market. Under the agreement, Ricardo will leverage a global team to support DFCV to develop and implement improved technologies for natural gas heavy duty truck engines. DFCV is one of China’s biggest truck makers and holds a leading position for heavy and medium duty trucks, supplying the largest truck market in the world. Ricardo is a leading developer of next-generation engine and powertrains focused on fuel efficiency and clean fuel technologies to reduce emissions for clear air quality, and is no stranger to working within the Chinese market. The company has been doing business in China for over twenty five years and has an engineering facility in Shanghai equipped for engine testing and calibration, for research, development and certification, and has a team of engineers to support these activities. “The demands of the truck market and legislative pressures for reduced CO2 and NOx emissions are strong drivers in favour of the adoption of clean engine technologies,” said Ricardo Asia president Gary Tan. “China is ideally positioned to develop a solid natural gas heavy duty truck market because it has developed a massive and well distributed network of compressed natural gas (CNG) and liquefied natural gas (LNG) fuelling stations throughout the country. As a company, Ricardo is committed to developing clean, fuel efficient and low carbon technologies and adapting them to meet the specific needs of our customers in all parts of the world.”
Anyone with half a brain that liked what they saw, would buy some shares then place an order. End up quids in.
Lets hope for good news from the current expo .
With all the good news and potential , why this fall in SP ?
should be good for CAP air pollution: hTTp://www.bbc.com/news/science-environment-32512152
http://news.sky.com/story/1474312/diesel-faces-crackdown-as-uk-ordered-to-act We all need cleaner trucks !
Nice little rise but sadly on a little but all helps.
This fell on the worry regarding 2015 revenues and a lack of orders. The risk associated with not hitting the 2015 financial target appears to have been alleviated somewhat now, and yet we still don't see the jump back above 3p. This only adds to the catapult we will see once the next order comes in. Hold on.
After a brief surge and good news , why no action on share price ?

This is the exact shot in the arm CAP needed. Management said they needed cash coming in and although this is not huge, it's at just the right time and sets them up nicely for growth in the market.

Another little step forward.. This is going to be a long haul ..
at sub 2.42 at the mo. The spread is a little off-putting
Looks interesting to me and price getting to my range
Good start to the day. I missed that the official Twitter page had been updated with the announcement on Friday - Provided a bit of fuel for the end of the week. https://twitter.com/cleanairpower
Always looking for someone to throw in some big numbers on the share price and make myself look less crazy. Got to agree that first round of orders would see us fly. For those not invested however if would likely jump 50% before they even logged into their account. I think 6-8p might even be conservative! don't think I have the balls to see 30p but I hope I don't even get the choice and it just opens the day at that. Past few days had been very quiet on here. Felt like I was talking to myself half the time.
West coast of the USA should be a great market.
The first orders RNS will see this to 6-8p if they are relatively small and hopefully will be, orders after the first one will have a more dramatic impact on the sp with regard to underpinning the sp floor, I can't see this falling at the last hurdle concerning funding, as the orders begin to come in it will be an easy sell with reference to that. The fact that they have relocated the operations guy to America tells me they may finally have grasped the concept of actually selling the product so we'll have to wait and see (again). Frieda, with regard to the sp:- if all goes to plan this time in America and the Asian project comes to fruition I would seriously expect it to recover fully to around 30p plus by this time next year, as oil prices recover so will the demand for the product. I'm happy to wait it out rather than take a quick % albeit a comparitively large %, with an average of around 2.2p it'll be worth the wait IMO. Been in and out of this for 4yrs now but thats Tech/R&D stocks for you, news driven shares don't chart. Oh and well done for maintaining the posts during the quiet periods.
Even without further good news (sure it is on the horizon anyway) this should rise further. It was pushing 4p not long ago and when you consider these are the likely last opportunities to get in at such a low price. It is at times like this we need that very energetic fan of CAP telling us it was going to be 10p in a matter of days. Where has he gone?
Makes me excited. And the way this is moving today suggests I'm not the only one. Calafornia news has obviously made someone take notice. 4th largest economy in the world isn't it?
