All depends on what side of the mid price at the time the trade went through at to register as a buy or sell. Think theirs is a general misconception that an actual human being pairs up trades and sets the bid and ask. With hundreds of fledgling and small caps on AIM with such piddly volume, trading will be set by algorithms which also takes any of the human emotion out of setting day to day prices.
That figures!
my buy today showing as a sell!!!
you would think in this day and age reporting trades would be a piece of ****!!
but no, deceive the public as with many things today.
mr t
Ok cheers rmc
if you check out the mining related charts, they;re all looking very healthy
so we're seeing a bounce off the oversold
my watchlist is full of um them,in the last month.
especially gold/copper/platinum/palladium/silver plays.
just poor old hzm...that's having rotton luck pf late
Troajan - I'm not being cynical.
This is the first positive sign the the SP may be about to move North.
The price gets moved down and then back up to shake out sellers. If there's a lot of selling volume on the rise then back down it will go and the process will be repeated.
If there isn't the selling volume then we'll see a significant rise. Here's hoping.
Well bearing in mind how long this has taken I think we can be sure the deal will be done and I believe very soon now. Maybe in light of the rise something is brewing? With that in mind I've taken a few more at this bargain basement price.
Come on Colin lets have the announcement and get the bzt ship moving forward for a change, lets face it it cannot go much further backwards.
Mr T
"I can assure you -i t is a done deal. You will see why in the near future."
What makes you think this?
Using "Deal" and "Done" in a sentence wherer Bird is involved brave.
Rmc...well,i grabbed a few anyway, ars as just bottomed out,so maybe its bzt's turn.
lets see
MM games
0.018?......is that the bottom
The water shortage, as you put it, is not an issue for the Hope & Gorob project. The reason ? It will deploy a minimal water pre-concentration process using laser separation techniques. The concentrate product will then be road-trucked to the final processing site northeast of Walvis Bay where water for industrial useis plentiful. Basically , this avoids the need for flotation and a tailings facility. Very clever really.
I can assure you -i t is a done deal. You will see why in the near future.
This will be a huge coup for Colin if he pulls it off. Good luck to him. Nothing ventured ....
This is not a done deal apart from being inside a National Park there is a water shortage in that region
"An anticipated increase in water demand from uranium mines in Namibia in the coming years could strain water supply in the Erongo region." Some urainium mining has been paused.
At group level through his various companies, Colin and Co have been acquiring a diverse portfolio of these assets across his many companies to have an inventory of particularly copper resources that vary from jurisdiction, in size and evolution in their development. Ready for when the supply deficit reaches a point where these assets become sought after from producers that will see M&A activity increase due to the need to try to keep up with the demand requirements that will be coming which will be exasperated by increasing worsening supply headwinds that range from political agenda, depleting of existing mines and the lowering of mineable grades. Not only that we are in a changing world where social acceptance and tolerances of the environmental impact of mining is making it increasingly difficult for permitting new mines.
In Zambia particularly, along with many other places , there is government policy that supports and encourages new mining developments.
Sit tight, have the confidence to accumulate to bring those averages down so when it turns you will be better placed by ‘25 into ‘26 for when the deficit is expected to hit hardest going into a very long copper bull run that will last for a generation.
All his companies will be very well placed when M&A activity ramps up.
"Bezant is focused on developing its pipeline of copper-gold projects to provide a new generation of economically and socially sustainable mines and also has a manganese project in Botswana."
Can anyone please explain what the above means and how it benefits shareholders?
Under the rules following the end of the comments period there ' should ' be an invitation to a Public Meeting at which the issue of the environment certificate is discussed.
An invitation is issued online, I have not seen that yet.
You are correct Prospector.
Colin needs those multiple salaries to offset the losses in the shares he holds in his duff companies. Let's have some understanding here.
I also blame Mr Bird for causing the global pandemic when he sneezed and for invading Ukraine. Utter b@s!@rd
Personally, i think it's most uncharitable of people tp be criticising an elderly gentleman in his twilight years.
He should be left to slumber in the glorious Dubai sunshine, softly murmuring 'Kiwara', fondly dreaming of his one coup of so many years ago. Who could possibly begrudge the old chap his multiple salaries from his many, many companies? They only exist to keep him in the manner to which he has become accustomed. As shareholders, should we not be grateful for all the wisdom and insight displayed in his interviews and RNSs? If nothing but collapsing share prices occur as a result, that surely is a little matter.
We should remember that we are all touched by his remarkable genius in hinting at so much, so often - while delivering so little, for so long.
RMc2407, you are right, but it is not just the number of companies, you have to multiply that number by 2 or 3 because there are multiple projects, across a number of continents, in each company. Yes he has “his” people but there is commonality in names across some of his companies. Spread thin is putting mildly. I would like to know what his aim or target is?
Prickly you are also right, as of now CB is a one hit wonder, big hit no doubting but that was some while ago. He gives the impression of a having a big toy box but can’t decide which toy is his favourite so picks one up then puts it down to play with another before rinse repeat.
Does anyone know what his target or aim is?
I really don’t want to be the richest person in the cemetery!

I think if bird stepped down, things would improve.
Since his coup selling to first quantum many years back CB has not had any success. I should know as I have invested in most of his companies. This is by far the most painful . He has consistently trumpeted the copper case and it may slowly be turning in his favour finally. He claims to have most of his companies well positioned for the revival in copper prices but sadly the SPs do not reflect any interest. At BZT CB maintains we are waiting on the ML to be finally approved at Hope Gorob. The approval came through at Mankayan and he set up a deal which may yet bring in some $10m for our share.
Likewise when the ML finally drops at Hope Gorob we should be in a position to monetise this within 12 months. On the Namibian mining website they claim permits are issued within 12 months of application maximum. I think CB expected it in April. The ML application has been through all the committee vetting processes and now awaits the ministerial approval . Unfortunately ,there is little confidence in CB's promises any more so the market will only improve when firm evidence of license plus finance plans for open pit is delivered . Meanwhile the SP meanders at pitiful levels .
Just for my own amusement I've compiled a Bird portfolio. Ten companies (there are loads more) that he's involved with or been involved with.
Only one of those companies has a chart that's sloping in the right direction, and he's no longer on the board there.
Even his football team is heading for relegation. Not exactly got the midas touch our Colin has he?
This share price tanking with a copper asset, looks like a bargain due to commodity price rocketing. Time to buy i say
Perhaps we can run a book for the date is gets suspended.
