In a move that “will kick off the transition to the next generation of cryptography” according to the White House deputy national security adviser Anne Neuberger, the US gov is looking to establish a standard for protecting against quantum threats. BATM's industry-leading encryption tools can help protect against this new category of threat. White House will mandate quantum encryption protection are all government agencies from July 2024. As Celare is not known in the US perhaps Telco can be the sales agents on this one, as a US based and approved company to deal with Government contracts?

Yes let’s hope they have something significant waiting to be released as I do believe the basis of BATM’s SP is off the back of positive news…
Bluerill has a great analysis and I couldn’t have said it better myself.
Great analysis Bluerill and completely agree with what you're saying. My guess is the disposable of some of the non-core business divisions will be completed in H2. Expect this to have a substantial impact on SP as well as development on core businesses as they will have management's full attention.
Its hard to advocate for the company at the moment, ss, at least for its share price, but I do honestly believe this level of radio silence does suggest something more substantial is likely to come from the company. Couple of home truths: 1. we know the company remains engaged in a restructuring process that will involve business sales and bolt-on purchase, which will result in a more focused company and should be shareholder friendly regardless of the form it takes. If for any reason they had abandoned the process, the company would have been compelled to report that; 2. the war in Gaza has set back the timetable significantly without a shadow of a doubt, but as we're approaching 18 months into this process, the calendar is starting to be our friend in my view; and 3. since touring London after the full-year results (I admit, I had the opportunity to meet with him again), Moti has been especially low profile, raising my hopes of deal negotiations getting more advanced.
Tase closed yesterday and today so if there is news probably wont be till next week.
Been quiet on the news front for BATM. Wonder if management have anything up their sleeve to finish Q2 off with a bang. SP trending downwards recently given the inactivity but I would expect this to reverse if we get some exciting news

Averaged down nicely with this and a few other stocks, waiting to reap short/long term benefits from BATM. Can only imagine an influx of contracts/general positive news will push us up back to the 30's
Definitely impacting SP but as the core businesses are in other jurisdictions I do not think it will have much of an impact on the bottom line. If anything maybe an increase in defence contracts in the future.
No end in sight is there?
This must be impacting the share price despite the majority of the business is elsewhere
30s seems reasonable to me. My main focus is development over share price at the moment as I am not looking to relinquish my shares any time soon. So far in 2024 I have been very happy with the contracts/extensions we have received, hopefully we see more of the same in H2.
Stock Sensei, I'm expecting a strong bounce back from BATM, and quite frankly thought the SP would have been a whole lot lower than it is right now. Once tensions ease I'm assuming the 30's would not be out of the question. I just hope we can really start to get the ball rolling soon as i could be making more money in a savings account...

From a recent Times article:
Despite the ongoing war with the Hamas terror group, Israel’s cybersecurity industry is bucking some of the downward trend in the tech sector amid a surge in hacking attacks and threats from Iran and Hezbollah.
In the first three months of 2024, the volume of mergers and acquisitions in Israel’s cyber sector generated $985 million across eight deals. During the same period, local cyber startups nabbed $620 million in capital from investors, accounting for 38% of the total funding raised by the tech sector, according to a report by Cybertech Global and IVC, released on Sunday ahead of a global cyber conference in Tel Aviv kicking off this week.
That’s after 2023, a year of political uncertainty and the breakout of the war in Gaza, M&A amounts of Israeli cyber deals added up to $7.1 billion – a record high — out of a total of $10 billion in the local tech industry, according to the data presented in the report. However, the number of exits of Israeli cyber firms dropped by 35%, from 37 deals in 2021 to 24 in 2023.

07:10
“The trend of increased mergers and acquisitions in Israeli cyber, which began last year, continues into 2024, as global cyber threats grow year by year,” said Cybertech founder Amir Rapaport. “In contrast to other sectors, geopolitical tensions increase interest and investment in cyber companies.”
“Therefore, we expect to see more investments in Israeli cyber companies and new startups that address emerging threats,”

Still not a lot of action coming from BATM since their prestigious EU-funded TB diagnostics programme. Hopefully some more positive news soon!
Agreed TradeWizard, we have had a positive H1 so far, hopefully we continue to see contract announcements coming through in H2
Would like to see more news coming from BATM, SP needs to gain some momentum to reach the 30's or even 40's which i believe the company has all the right fundamentals to do so in the short term.
With the growing demand for AI and edge computing also comes the increase for cyber security. Would be good to see BATM capitalising on this trend over the coming months.
Everyone has probably seen the UK's Sainsbury's collaboration with Microsoft. Clearly this is a big area for edge computing to process real time in store camera data. Edgility often talk about 'just wall out retail' and it would be good for them to nail a customer in this area.
Clare Barclay, CEO, Microsoft UK, said: “Today, Sainsbury’s has laid out a bold vision that puts AI at the heart of its business, accelerating the development of new services, which will enhance and transform the customer and colleague experience. We are delighted to be working with Sainsbury’s to power the next generation of retail."

We may have another covid spike type scenarionadding value with the recent news. Fully funded by the EU - what's not to like.
Yeh personally I am very happy with BATM's development so far in 2024. We likely see a discounted SP until the war ends which is fine by me as can continue to buy the stock cheap. Patience will most definitely be rewarded with BATM.
Really positive stuff coming from BATM recently, sounds like they're getting their act together. Of course the SP does not accurately reflect this but i'm sure it will in due course.
Was already a great H1 for BATM ... now its just superb from a investment point of view, looks as if Natlab is getting noticed also after the show that was recently held!
Extremely positive news for BATM as they have been selected for a prestigious EU-funded tuberculosis diagnostics program in collaboration with Italy's National Research Council. This partnership will help to develop rapid TB and multi-drug-resistant TB diagnostics. This could significantly enhance BATM's market position in a sector worth over $2bn.

All wars end eventually but at present I can see no end to this Israeli Hamas conflict with the involvement of USA, EU, Iran, Syria, Lebanon etc.
Another huge distraction would be China going into Taiwan though!
Resistance1, take advantage of the low level shorts downward pressure, already a great H1 for Batm and solid growth in core divisions, I also expect and few more contracts for Edgility soon!
Looks like talks in Cairo are progressing well. Lets hope a permanent ceasefire is announced next week. This will certainly boost sentiment and will remove downward pressure.
Think many investors won't have the patience to wait for the tension to ease. I think we may continue to see a discounted price but all I know is the longer we stay at the lows, the larger the move will be in the future.
I do think that is a significant factor and i'm pleased to see BATM's contract obtainment coming on nicely. If they keep the ball rolling/tensions ease in the middle east, i believe the share price will correct itself in due course.

Glad to see yet another contract obtainment by BATM showing that they're on the right track. This is exactly what i was hoping for when they announced their contract renewal with CEMEX.
FWIW I dont think they should be trading on the London Market and TASE is too small so at some point they are going to have to move exchanges to NASDAQ. Thats will probably happen as Telco is already a US company.
Very good point. It seems with the recent re-contracting of Cemex one of their 1st Edgility customers and now this new deal you would think the market would react more positively. I would still bet when the market does wake up there will be a violent upward share price movement. What and when will be the tipping point is the question.
Definitely good news and, as usual, the share price does not rise. For some reason with this share good news is treated as no news and no news is seen as bad news. It is unclear, to me at least, what is needed for the share price to react to good news in the normal, positive, way. This negativity predated the HAMAS attack, although they have clearly not helped sentiment.
Amazing news from the RNS today - BATM signed a significant new contract with Totalplay. Totalplay will utilise BATM's Edgility platform for the virtualisation, orchestration, and management of its enterprise connectivity services across its extensive fiber optic network. This deal marks a key milestone for Edgility as it transitions from proof of concept to full commercial rollout, demonstrating its competitiveness and flexibility in network virtualisation. Moti highlighted the agreement as validation of their strategy and a sign of strong future potential, with more contracts expected soon. Very exciting news for BATM investors as it clearly indicates strong progress in commercialisation and a bullish outlook for the SP.

This is a very real area of expansion for the company and there are several players looking seriously at this platform to manage quantum solutions. I cant say anymore about this other to say stock sensei comments are highly relevant.
Also very clear that BATM have made significant strides in quantum cyber encryption through Celare. For those that do not know Celare's development in quantum encryption harnesses the principles of quantum mechanics to create unbreakable cryptographic keys, ensuring data integrity and privacy. Their focus on practical implementation sets them apart, with solutions poised to revolutionise cybersecurity. As threats evolve, Celare's quantum-resistant algorithms offer a shield against future quantum computing risks

I completely agree, Resistance. The decision by BATM to divest its non-core businesses is very promising. It allows BATM to concentrate on its most profitable sectors (networking edge, cybersecurity, and diagnostics). Realistically, these are the businesses that will generate the most money for BATM and therefore more ROI for shareholders so its encouraging to see them dedicating all their efforts there.
I've also bought a few more (not a great deal) in the last 2 weeks. Still well under water though at present. As far as I can see we need 3 things to happen in the short term to move this on up. 1. Ceasefire - though this has nothing to do with BATM, it doesn't help with general sentiment. 2. Another Edgility order from a new client 3. Disposal of 1 or more non core businesses. The disposal(s) will allow market focus on the 3 core areas: Networking edge, cyber and diagnostics
I decided to purchase some of BATM and BRWM about a month ago, based on Fundamentals/and a little advice .... so far BlackRock World Mining Trust up over 11% and BATM down a few % even tho the 'players' that have a hold on the BATM SP, there must be other funds looking at this.... Richard Penny of Crux Asset Management said easily 40p and more when AIM stocks come back in favor, I still think Telco is worth more than this on its own!

Completely agree, an extension is proof of the quality of Edgility. Clearly clients are not disappointed and the retention rate will likely be very high. Bullish.
With the implementation of new technology platforms the best news you can get is that on going from successful trials and POC's etc .... once deployed it works the same as in the Lab so to speak.
To be honest I am not even fussed about the SP as it will catch up with the fundamental value of the company soon enough. Main thing I want to see is new contract announcements and this extension from Cemex is exactly what I want to see. Good start to Q2 for BATM
Yep great news with the announcement of the new CEMEX contract. As i noted on ADVFN, this is exactly what i want to see with BATM announcing contracts regularly. Hopefully this will get the ball rolling with the SP correction.

The Return Trends At BATM Advanced Communications (LON:BVC) Look Promising
https://finance.yahoo.com/news/return-trends-batm-advanced-communications-093225181.html
Why do you keep posting news that is nothing to do with this company? Most people are fully aware of what is going on. Just because the company is based in Israel doesn't mean its them dropping bombs.
The Israeli Defence Force (IDF) is a trigger happy organisation.
Watch Al Jazeera channel 622 on Virgin Media (the only media left in Gaza).
Yesterday the World Central Kitchen aid workers were targeted with at least two airstrikes as the group was travelling in two armoured vehicles branded with the World Central Kitchen (WCK) charity’s logo. They had shared their plans and locations with the IDF for safe passage.
However before that I saw 4 young men walking unarmed through the bombed out wasteland, the IDF treats this as kill zones and dropped a bomb on them.
Also two unarmed men walking on a beach separately, one waving a white flag/rag, he was shot by a sniper and his and the other body bulldozed into the ground as shown on TV.
This may only end when the US stops arming Israel.
Probably only after Israel nuke Iran, Lebanon and Syria though.
Absolutely agree. When are we in the west going to deal with Iran as the terrorist state it is.

One way of looking at this is that the SP can be covered by the value of their Cyber division plus cash. The rest of the business is in there for nothing.
Couldn't agree more with his statement, the SP is horribly undervalued and has been for some time. Lets hope some corrections are made soon
Richard Penny of Crux Asset Management has a few comments on BVC worth listening to [29.20 mins in], highlighting the complete disconnect between the SP and sum of the parts valuation. The divestment of non core assets could spark a rerating.

Very good news as BATM have secured $2.3 million in additional cyber security orders for its advanced solutions and is developing next-generation encryption with quantum key distribution for a government defence customer. This contributes to $35 million in orders over 15 months for the Cyber division. Moti also spoke about the continued momentum and confidence in integrating cutting-edge quantum technology. Very clear to see BATM are in a strong position in the cyber security market.
"best-in-class cyber solution" like that ..... with a 19.06p surely one of their divisions is worth multiple of this!.... Adding into the spread
Here we go.

Been doing a lot of reading into Edgility recently, given the growth potential I wanted to educate myself a bit more about it. If anyone here has good articles on Edgility would be great if you could share the link.
This is why I am so focused on Edgility, the growth potential here is crazy not to mention the high margins. The dream scenario for a business if they play their cards right
Wait for everything to kick of in Lebanon
Yes so much potential with Edgility and paints a promising future for BATM. As mentioned before we just need more news regarding contract obtainment etc to start the sp ramp up.
It appears Edgility itself pulled in $15m in 2023. As this is cumulative revenue even if they put in a lacklustre performance 2024 est. 35M 2025 est. 55m. this is all very high margin. If you add this to the bottom line of a hopefully strong 2024 for Cyber and Medical Diagnostics then this all looks potentially a lot different. FWIW

Quite frankly it is a little irritating to hear others taking advantage of the price dip. All my funds are tied up at the moment and I will miss out. Rant over. I just don't think there will be another opportunity like this presented again.
Averaging down nicely, as you mention this is a solid growth stock and its very promising to see an increase in gross profit especially with the current situation in israel. Look forward to see where the company is in a years time and hopefully have doubled my money!
Thank you Sensei ... I consider it a solid growth stock, look forward to the restructuring , new sales team and next RNS
Good to have you back Nutmegmilk, I have also picked up some more mid 19s. My strategy is to hold onto them for 2 to 3 years. I anticipate that growth stocks will thrive once the UK emerges from this recession. With BATM's solid fundamentals, I'm optimistic that it will outperform other growth companies.

Given the positive news from year end results any price below 20 is a bargain. There is clear growth in their cyber and diagnostics revenue which is only going to continue. Investors need to be patient here. Will be keeping an eye on any new contracts over the next few quarters and to see what BATM do with their non-core divisions given they have adjusted their focus.
I held these shares in 1999 the future was very bright then as well at upside of £1.2 billion value 24 years ago.
Valued on eight times cash profit to enterprise valuation of $75mn, and 10 per cent below book value, the rating is about right for now. Hold.
@inContext, the broker note basically forecasts this is not going to change for the next few years. All the profits are being reinvested, hence the use of Ebitda.
@FlyingHigher, most people on this board don't understand financials. (see final part of IC article above). I personally think this could drop further, there is no pay back for holding these shares over the next few years IMO.
Bearing this in mind, the group’s cyber division secured $32.4mn of new orders in 2023, increased revenue 76 per cent to $10.3mn and quadrupled cash profit to $2.4mn, or a quarter of the group total. One of the orders from a long-standing defence department customer was for BATM’s latest high-performance encryption platform. The $26mn contract will be delivered over the next five years, and the directors expect to receive further orders for the technology in the current year....
https://www.investorschronicle.co.uk/ideas/2024/03/12/what-to-make-of-batm-s-strategic-review/
Results were in line with expectations. There were quite a few positives in there albeit the general backdrop is tough. The company held their own and paid for R&D and extra cash for ADOR. It's hard to be objective about these results because they have no contribution from ADOR and very little from Edgility sales (yet). The 2 most potentially disruptive IP they have are not contributing revenue. My take is that it is happening but not at the speed investors wanted.

This has gone nowhere in the last 12 months. Same old usual story from these guys. If we scan down the results, and jump over the optimistic 'adjusted' set of numbers, we can see the reality here:
Profit before tax 1,461
Income tax expenses (839)
Profit for the year before share of loss of a joint venture and associated companies 622
Share of loss of a joint venture and associated companies (822)
Profit (loss) for the year (200)
So the company made a small loss. Outstanding indeed.
More waffle about opportunities and talk of divestment to keep punters on hooks for another year. What a joke. What you need to realise with this company is that it has been listed for around 30 years and has gone nowhere. Just a nice little earner for those inside the company.
based on the stagnant sp the numbers are ****e and mean they are going down the pan. don't ramp this one.
absolutely sick of rampers, dressing up f/all as going somewhere big.
Good end of year results for BATM. Moti has successfully reorganised the core business activities and is ready to expand further as he has allocated resourced towards sales and looks to explore M&A opportunities in the US. Growth in the Cyber and Diagnostics divisions are very strong. I expect these to be money making machines for BATM over the next few years. The strong orders and product interest, indicates a promising outlook for 2024.
Divestment of non core businesses and now priced below last reported NAV. Fantastic growth opportunities.
With market pessimism still dominating, this is a contrarian investor's dream.
Thats a good set of numbers, I am curious too potential merger & acquisition activity, is that why the share price is always getting beating down, someone wants a a piece of the BATM pie? ... I am wishing I had held out as the price looks so undervaled to date .... glad for all the holders!

Interesting how 20p has pretty much held for some 6 months now.
I think a good set of results released next tuesday will be essential for BATM to get back to positive SP action, will be very interesting to see how they have performed in the midst of whats going on over there. Also see that there is a QnA on the 13th which i look forward to asking the right questions concerning the obtainment of new contracts etc moving forward.

Agreed, all the parts are there for BATM to make a success of it but many investors don't have the patience. They want results now, when in my eyes, a long term view on BATM will lead to more profits than any short term gains most investors are looking for
Edgility is definitely cutting edge, i just hope BATM can scale up their contract obtainment and start pumping out some positive news which i believe they are in a satisfactory position to do so. BATM have all the right tools and fundamentals to be a seriously attractive investment for ourselves and perhaps more pedestrian investors, I just think they need to scale up their 'advertisement' of success.
News out the other day regarding Edgility as HV Multiplay in Colombia (a top pay-TV operator) have chosen Telco Systems to upgrade from 1GE to 100GE. This decision underscores Telco's compelling proposition which guarantees reliability and scalability, with a network management platform for streamlined operations.
