Toliara proposals in front of Govt and supported by President's advisors. "Pretty close now" and "all stars seem to be aligning" sounds very encouraging to me. I liked this also - "A Company of real strategic relevance" - yes indeed.
Also noted that the Co. plan to complete work on Lower Sands (Rare Earth opportunities) by end of 2022. Significant further opportunities which aren't factored in yet.
And weeks away from approval in Kenya to carry out further exploration work.
We could be getting very close to a transformational cusp here. Listen to the 10 min presentation & DYOR
flashheart; yes can be difficult to get hold of....
Probably because, with the recent Bank of America declaration, 75% of the shares are held by just 5 bodies, which only leaves 25% for anybody else to scrabble around with. The plus side to my mind is that is a vote of confidence from some serious investors.
Cheers Bob, thanks for the response & info from HL.
I have spoken myself to HL in the past & they have always stated that they are not tax experts, & so I have usually contacted HMRC directly (when you are lucky enough to get to speak to someone).
Anyway, I have been on Google, & the consensus seems to be that the 'trade' date is the tax point & not the settlement date, I quote from several sites I visited :-
"The trade date is the legal binding contract date & so therefore the tax point date, the settlement date is purely for administration purposes between you and the broker and is of no interest to HMRC"
Thanks again Bob, & I hope this clears it up for anyone else who was unsure.
Have a good week everyone, Cheers.
JTec - This is the response I got from HL, I think it means the divi is credited for last tax year
This dividend will fall on this tax year documents, but not the new tax reports as the payment was declared 31/03/22.
If you have any other questions, please get back to me.
Kind regards,
Harry Millerchip
Hargreaves Lansdown
I got my dividend today from Hargreaves Lansdown, however, the trading date of the dividend is 11th April, but the settlement date is actually the 31st March, so the transaction dates now span across different tax years. Can anybody confirm which date to use as the tax year ?
Got mine, appeared late yesterday.
Let's hope we hear some news on Toliara soon.
Redrum, probably the same for me then. I emailed the company who said I should have got the money, I think they are going to talk to Hargreaves Lansdown about it. They are going to get back to me. Will let you know what they say.
Been on to Halifax, they've said that the wrong amount was received from the registrars so can not be allocated until sorted, no timeline given.
Hi Redrum,
Was just looking at this in my Hargreaves account and thinking - where is my dividend?
No I haven’t
Anybody received their dividend yet?
Just taken me 2 hrs to buy some more on a fill or kill. Difficult stock to get hold of.
sonofyoda; yes nice divvy and a tick up; my concern here is that Kwale and it's income will cease before Toliara contributes and there will be a bridging period of zero income and outgoing cost; in that interim divvys will cease and the SP will drift downwards.
Another decent dividend, hopefully we will see a small nice SP rise towards the ex:div date
Also I think I remember watching an interview sometime last year where the CEO basically indicated the dividend was going to zero (close to) for a couple of years (?) to fund new mine development - investors are probably pricing that in. Once that development is successfully concluded I expect attention will return to the share price. In the interim there are other good plays available in the Mineral Sands sector. I expect the whole sector will start receiving more attention barring WW3 or global economic meltdown.
