The bad working conditions are going to stick with Boo for years to come
Out of curiosity could a reduction on the short positions mean that the funds shorting don't see the stock moving down in the medium/long term and prefer materialise their profits and use that in another share?
I also don't know much (actually nothing) about the retail clothes business, but reading the news it sounds like this festive season might not be the best due to the cost of living increase.

Not reading anything into this, but 8 out of the 11 days since the results have seen a sudden price rise late afternoon co-inciding with a 6 or 7-figure volume spike : sort of thing big players do when they want to either buy big or close big shorts in bite-size chunks without paying more than they want to.
Voice has major egg on face.
At 29p, boohoo shares are my top penny stock
Down 93% from its all-time high, Andrew Mackie makes the case for why investors should consider buying boohoo shares.

Bought massively at 28 today. See you guys at 100p next year
That’s a nice turnaround today, have I missed some news?
Do your research..How can it be taken over when the founders hold huge stakes that would make any takeover impossible
The level of delusion on this board is staggering. I have no agenda here. Surely it was blindingly obvious this was going to dive south on the incoming weak news?? And surely its blindingly obvious that this is only going one way. Let's be clear. The damage wrought by interest rates is only just starting. If you want to believe the narrative about wages catching up with inflation, then be my guest. This will go sub 20p. Massive and urgent rationalisation of the business needed fast. Back to the bare bones before its forced and not voluntary.
Take over target pretty inevitable now and soon. What would fair price be ? 80p/150p ?
I've entered a small position long. Interim results tomorrow. Chart shows a potential bottoming pattern, but if you look at the data on the investors page on the website (link below to screencap), there would appear (at a facile glance) to be some risks. There was also the scandal involving pay rates below national minimum i.e. Sweat shop exploitation (see below). There was a boost to sales during COVID which may be unwinding now, drop in revenues over the last year might support that idea, cash balance very much depleted.
Personally I don't like holding overnight with a scheduled news release, but I've entered a very carful position. GLA
What was the Boohoo scandal?
The nosediving share price at Boohoo was sparked by a Sunday Times investigation published July 5 which found that some workers in factories supplying some Boohoo brands in Leicester, one of the U.K.s textile centers, were being paid as little as $4.75-an-hour, compared with a U.K. minimum wage of $11.15.Dec 10, 2020
