Just seen this over on A.D.V.F.N - on the face of it easy to ignore however i just been doing some research and it does appear our new CEO does indeed have connections in Bahrain.Might be something to keep an eye on ??

"Picked up abit of intel from a pal who works in this sector,he suggested that Baron Oil have caught the interest of a major Bahrain investor who has connections with Barons new boss.If that comes to pass we will see many new eyes on this IMO
Would not suprise me at all to see something like that happen, the prize on offer for them would be hard to resist surely.Game on here soon IMVHO"
I got from the most recent BOIL interview that they are working towards drilling at Chuditch this year. Is there any stronger indication of when this is expected to happen?
Skippy, per 15th Feb RNS this is the sequence and we are on track per Butlers latest interview:
The Board anticipates the following key milestones for the Chuditch project in 2024:
· Site survey at the proposed Chuditch-2 appraisal well location in the first quarter of 2024 ✔
· Completion of drill funding and securing a rig slot in the second quarter of 2024
· Obtaining the required environmental and drilling approvals in the third quarter of 2024
· Well mobilisation, well spud and drilling results in the fourth quarter of 2024
Five, thanks for sharing the post, might be something might be nothing ,however if the Ceo has connections there that would make it a more reasonable assumption. There is obviously lots of cash around in that part of the world and the proposition at Baron Oil would likely attract someone in that postion. So potential for a new bullish development is there.
Tradedesk. Thank you for your response.
I have been following junior stocks for long enough to know that just when you think you have a stagnant SP the current ASK suddenly gets taken out and within very short timescale you are into a new trading range. It will happen here soon enough.
Bit out on the last one Trade, the provisional drill slot for CH2 is 20th December, testing/results likely during Jan 2025, if we get the rig handover in time
Tradedesk, what is your view on our new CEO ? Do you think right man at the right time like i do ? or other .He seems a mighty impressive individual from what i have seen and not the normal dross management you get on junior oilers.
Said for a looooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooong time AB should be in charge, massive regional and worldwide connections via his other hats (vice president seapex etc) and he and his team, developed the Islands industry from 2016 and still train to this day, long before snail paced Yeo ho ho and company came in in Jan 2020.
Best news Boil had in 4 years , was his appointment as ceo. Right man , right time , known huge frontier play opening back up (oz and Indonesian Timor Sea waters PROLIFIC since the 1970's) TL Timor Sea waters , the to be filling from drilling in that tri country sandwich. 😉👍 GLALTH
AB remains a VP of Seapex, just look at this years sponsors and top sponsor , ExxonMobil, now what an RNA over the rns news wire that would be Mobil return (Mobil discovered Kelp TL waters 1998 same as Shell Chuditch , Kelp also remains idle Mobil gave a 10.5-14 tcf rating to Kelp)
Monster known finds, more to be found, Area P that links Chuditch and Sunrise, long thought to hold the Hydrocarbon Kitchen that supplies BOTH, ENI now holding that block, they like others , might just fancy taking Chuditch as a HUB of their own, ready for new discoveries on both wider Chuditch License (known Shell leads) and its Area P.
ENI have big partners in other JV/projects around Australia and Timor sea, most notably INPEX and Santos, still would not rule out more than one incoming JV/Partner , Shell thought wider Chuditch license bigger than Sunrise and it was , Shell , Conoco Phillips , Woodside and Osaka gas originally (before the 2 decade impasse)
Big asset , warrants BIG players to develop properly, with 25-30 well FFD potential. 😲🤑🤑🤑🤑🤑🤑
He's the right guy, its Butlers asset and now some big hitters have joined him on the board . Look the Technical Site Survey is done (came in significantly under budget), Long Lead Items ordered. I expect the Rig Deposit to be paid that is next and a string of JV & Partner announcements.
Shouldn't be trading sub £50m mc +0.20, don't look a gift horse...given it tagged 0.175 in Feb.
Both AB and Colin Murray , involved with regional and worldwide , presentations and conferences, through Seapex and associated organisations, Colin recently presenting in London for e.g.
Right people , now in charge 👍

Cheers for your thoughts :-) we must be very close to getting the first of that newsflow now.
I am curious what this Bahrain connection could be,if Baron could land a wealthy backer on non-dilutive terms that would be a scoop of epic proportion here and instead a share of future production revenues being dangled :-)
