An excellent viewpoint 799
Admittedly a lot of patience is required here. But its only a question of whether our revenues will be in the tens or hundreds of millions :-)
Thorny River alone will produce a lot of diamonds. All investors have to do is wait . . .
When the share price drops, as it often does, I make a point of going back over the Marsfontein case study to remind myself of why we’re here, how long these things can take and the size of the prize at the end.
Even with the lack of information flowing I still have absolute faith in JC and the team. They already know what sits under the surface at TR and I’m pretty damn certain they won’t be walking away from it regardless of red tape and delays.
Bots projects
When it comes to the long-term vision for the company, there is only one opinion that matters - and that is James Campbell’s :-)
So I appreciate the question, but it’s not something I’ll answer!
Only 100 million shares in issue not 1000 million?
Echo, I am open to being convinced that in longer term, this stock has a bright future. What i see however is 1.04 billion shares in issue and a small revenue stream just starting. Can you share some of your vision for the future here ?
Hello Ziquarat mate :-)
Don’t stress over the price, in the long-term it won’t make the slightest bit of difference I think. I am in at 0.95p and 1p.
Btw - if you want to join the telegram group I’ve set up, just put your username up. It’s for us LTH’s only
I HOPE youre right echo, me old mucker....... i hope youre right. i buy, then the ask drops...ffs... (shaking my head)
For long-term holders this is becoming a long wait. But as JP has said, things are moving forward. James is engaging with quite a few of us and in the next couple of weeks we should have an outcome. I just hope that it is the right outcome to move this company forward. The potential here remains excellent in my opinion.
I think it's moving forward, but at the fastest pace they can, given the usual paper 'stoppages'.
I hope so, I'm still here, just but I'm not liking the way it has stalled. Does ring alarm bells. I know it's Africa but there is a limit on how long things take, nearly as slow as the UK!
Glad to see there are a number of us that have the faith. Everyone is thereabouts... holding and waiting for the next phase(s). All looking ready to 'pop' into action.
And its showing as a SELL...... which it clearly isnt.... FFS
I bought another 100,000 shares... not sure if this is a good thing...but ive done it now...around..11.28 today
lowers my average to 0.00923
I think we have outstanding warrants at 2p or something and those holders won't like any issued below their price as they stumped up cash a while ago to help fund, or am I wrong about that? Happy to be corrected.
How about an offer of warrants to our partner at a higher price over a two year timescale. Say .2.5p. That gives incentive and a partner exposure to success at Thorny river or elsewhere. I'd go along with that.
Deals take time think back to Lundin etc.
According to the RNS of 29th March we are basically funded through to end of '23
;-Outlook:
In January 2023, we raised £350,000 new capital via the exercise of outstanding warrants. The cash came from a small group of investors, including directors. Assuming operational success, royalties from the Marsfontein /Thorny River operations are expected to fully fund ongoing activities by end 2023.
The latest news tends to confirm the above statement.
So a placing is doubtful.
That may well be the case but it is taking a long time to get a deal, surprisingly so if it is that good a prospect but for us it opens up our other little mine close by. Lots of synergies.
Thanks for that jscapper. I was unaware of that so significantly cheaper overheads then.
I don't normally post here, but as a rule I am silently confidant that BOD will deliver.
Dunk_Biscuit do not assume that Ghaghoo will continue to be underground. JC has intimated at a new way of working the mine.
The projects in SA should enable BOD to carry on exploring without additional shares being issued and a couple of projects in Botswana are just needing a JV partner who can provide the funds/capital to get them off the ground (or rather underground ) 😀👍
Surely they need to demonstrate sustained cash generation from the 2 SA projects before announcing more deals which likely are exploration potential focused.
I hear you TR
I’m pretty heavily invested here and remain confident that things will come right. If it weren’t for JC and the teams track record I’d have been getting very twitchy by now.
Patience will only last so long. I’m sure JC is ‘in tune’ with investors’ sentiment and this long silence is lead up to something very positive. If it is anything less than positive I fear investors will start to gradually bail out…
I'm hoping for news next week on a deal or two, I mean they have had time enough to produce something, my patience is thinning out; Words and pictures are cheap, we deserve more and timescales of indicated deaks can't be pushed out forward for ever. If I start to sell the price will collapse.
Thank you. So current operations focus is generating cash from the SA sites using sub-contractor(s) for labour, equipment and money to prove the concept. Fine idea and concept - but will take a few gear changes before decent money is made.
What about Botswana I wonder? This is where my main interest lies - inward investment there in recent years has become really hard work. I think that was because the previous political family had the country in a straight-jacket but they appear to be gone (living in apparent exile in SA - who i hope soon kick them out). General elections take place this time next year so i see a year of grand-standing by current BDP regime touting Botswana achievements (Khoemacau, Selebi Phikwe restoration, better negotiated terms with DeBeers re diamonds, major investments in rail network to massively improve connectivity and transportation channels (import/ export), energy and power generation improvements (slow burner this one though).
Debswana and Lucara have the diamond sector well controlled for development and distribution side - so any space is for the junior exploration firms there like BOD, Tsodilo Resources, etc.
But the question is - can they and we make money from their exploration? Is the time right for re-looking at these projects? If not, why not. Or when.
I suspect it is still too early for junior diamond players - but watch the space for announcements of fanfare news on licence renewals and JV deals to restart exploration activities.
The Botswana Stock Exchange might be a good investment destination for next couple years if the politics stays stable and companies can attract capital markets investments.
Not if enough is forecast to come through from Marsfontein :)
