Of course, but we have a lot of minerals (whether we can access them or not) other than vanadium under the Bushveld Minerals umbrella bassguy which is why I think they'll keep it and make the Bushveld Energy name/logo the primary focus to spread the word without changing the companies name.
At this particular moment it feels like we'd just be fannying about (yes that is a word in t'north) when there are so many more important things for them to be doing. Are we wanting them to change the name for pi's because we don't feel the company is getting traction with investors) or for the industry/businesses that are going to be buying Bushvelds products?
Oops post disappeared so I rewrote the gist of it...
pb940, we are a bit away from other minerals in any significant form are we not. Yes we can look at phosphate and Iron (could be interesting in the near future but funding needed and not really primary concern).
Any other venture could be spun out in another subsidiary to be honest but if the main thrusts going to be batteries then a more suitable name would be fitting surely not.? I still think Bushveld Minerals and Bushveld energy are a bit awkward together if BM is the feeder for BE but the BM ownership is only 84% of BE..
Greetings bassguy
Tealeaves suggest JSE listing next Spring - if they are right....

Hello SMISHMAN
It is nice to see you as you often post before something interesting happens :)
What are your thoughts on JSE listing, when it may happen and how the company may engage with SA investors differently to UK investors, if indeed there will be any difference. It feels as though they are holding back...

While the company is primarily focussed on Vanadium and we bang that drum on here it also has a large and varied portfolio of other minerals which is why the Bushveld Minerals company name will remain in my view.
Hello SMISHMAN,
Nice to see you as you usually post before something interesting happens :)
What are your thoughts on JSE listing, when it will happen, and how the company PR will engage with SA investors differently to UK investors, if indeed there will be any difference?

Perhaps with Mokopane due to come online, Bushveld Minerals needs to retain some autonomy within its identity to allow them to exploit other opportunities, outside vanadium.
Libero -
FM has said on a number of occasions the BMN story is 'only half told.' The company's PR needs to tell the other half.
I have also pressed FM and Chika to consider a name change that includes VANADIUM in the title but the company has pushed back on this for reasons I do not understand.
Should we come to a consensus of the new name?
SMISHMAN
Not defeatist, just realistic. Good luck to you Libero, and to you also Pdub.
Or one of the other clowns, I think there are two or three of them with 7 or 8 ids. If I didn’t have an actual job to do , I could try and work out who is who.
Ooooops, something went wrong!! I was replying to the 'chat' that must have got removed - just ignore me !!
GLA
Must have been his/her mum that recommended the post ??!!
GLA
Goblesmythe don’t be so defeatist. That’s exactly the useless response all too frequently on this bb. A load of negativity. I commend Libero for not falling into that trap. Whilst Libero may or may not get a response at least he is trying, whereas your cynical and negative comment will certainly achieve nothing.
I hope the majority here will support what Libero is trying to do and perhaps contact the bb themselves.
Libero, how long have you been around BMN? I take your point, but ultimately FM shows no respect to PI's. Historically he shows PI's complete contempt with respect to peoples concerns about communications. Suck it up, its been like it for 8 years.
Setcentric... It is a wholy owned subsidiary.... Not unusual for a group corporate generic email. Many mult-corps do that
Excellent, Libero. Couldn't agree more about the RNS frequency/accumulation. It serves no-one well, when news is stored up and released in one large communication containing positives and negatives from different parts of the organisation. The good and the bad cancel each other out in investors' eyes. You make good points that shouldn't be seen as criticism, but hopefully as constructive advice that can help to raise the market cap of the company. Anyone know if the directors' remuneration is linked to market value of the company ?
Well done Libero. Your email has my full support. Exactly the kind of proactive action that shareholders should take, rather than simply venting frustration on LSE.
I agree that if more shareholders took similar action it becomes increasingly hard to ignore.
Hope you get a suitable response.
Libero - I have had responses previously from Mikhail at the following address:
Mikhail.Nikomarov@bushveldminerals.com
Strange that BE is not separated ?
OK email sent, and I've included everyone's points.
I got a reply from the London Stock Exchange previously, and I successfully got that awful stockopedia article taken down on Wednesday, so here's hoping we get a positive reply here!
We really need them to get the market data providers (Thomson Reuters et al) to change the companies classification which currently falls under...uranium: of all things. This matters as it may well be a filter for certain IIs and PIs simply to ignore the company on ethical grounds.
It would be nice if you could include this: thanks and well done for taking the initiative.
Best wishes
Bassguy, Libero.... If you don't get a reply from Chika within a few days I have found a follow up email to SPAngel with a bit of a gripe normally does the trick. Done this on a couple of occasions and Chika has then replied.
bassguy, cheers. Good point on JSE, a lot of people will start to look at the AIM listing as well. JSE listing will only help, it really needs to happen from a PR point of view as well as the country itself, you should have a listing where you are based. Veld is an afrikaans word, means field, bosveld is the area, also afrikaans. Maybe a re-branding/name change will come, maybe some people in political circles will insist it happens. Lots of afrikaans names have been removed since the release of Mandela, Joburg airport being one example.
Nice idea Libero but I doubt it will do anything, I have not had a response to any polite queries I have sent re communication and what is actually happening. I don't think it is a priority and still think things are being held back for the JSE listing where I am sure locals will have a greater depth of understanding and need, particularly around Eskoms issues. Once the tender success is announced I am sure JSE would see huge buying of BMN stock, suggesting we may well see JSE announcement out of the blue in Nov or Dec.
A simple page on the website explaining the company structure and interests would be great, I also agree with rebranding to highlight the energy side as if all goes well I suspect we wont be selling much for steel.
Welcome Bushmaster
Hahaa that was a bad example then, I'm sure there are others!
Basically I'm fed up of the style of newsflow from the company where we get this mega RNSs that take many LTHs who know the company super well to analyse / decipher. And then we hear nothing for weeks if not months until the next mega RNS. This is what I strongly believe needs to change to ensure sentiment stays positive, so that we are less at the mercy of the MMs, and ultimately so we reach a fairer valuation.
I've also found something else I'll add to my email: BE has no email address to contact. You can only fill out a form on the website. Why is that? https://www.bushveldenergy.com/contact-us/
There's also no mention of Invinity or Enerox on here. There's merely mention of "VRFB OEMs" and even that needs updating because there's "RedT" on there etc !
Very frustrating
Libero that article you have linked is a good few years old and the grant was RNS'd. Good article though as it tells you they have been working towards this for years.
