Up another 11% today, they are literally printing money.

I hadn't noticed as have been busy, but they've made so much cash that they are looking for ways of offloading it. Result 12% plus dividend paid quarterly starting next month.

I want to thank HC for his great posting, research and cheerleading here. The quality of the b/b is very high, especially since the departure of the idiots. However, in an abstract sense Genghis is right. As an investor you should never lose your objectivity and the ability to step back and analyse. There is risk here: execution risk that applies to all miners and jurisdictional risk that applies to Africa. There is also sector risk. Us ex-Shanta holders know, if a thing starts being too good, has too much potential, it draws attention.

For the time being though, I can't see a better place to put money.

I usually pay attention but have been very busy lately.

Only noticed the div today.

This company is basically a money factory and is looking for ways to chuck the stuff at us.

Serabi also good, but moved out of that after bagging in 6 months.

This is a great company, but I've also redeployed to Thor as I was 143% up here since last May, I had broken my target and there is no need to be greedy.

HC, yup Thor looks set to go, mistimed my first buy there, but now happy with my holding.

I have bagged at the Brazilian one since last May using money made at Shanta before they robbed us.

I have MSTR on my watchlist but my research gave me the feeing investing in it is basically just giving Saylor money to buy more bitcoin. The thing that looks good about GST is that it has multiple strands and is tapping in more generally to the crypto space and fintech. There is an ETF on H&L that I'm also considering.

Chaebol, can you please explain the investment case for GST. You were talking about it the other day. I have tried to follow the narrative on their chatboard but there is no useful information there. Contributors are deranged fantasists. I have sold my gold to go into leveraged alternatives (Serabi and Thor) and have sold my crypto in order to find a leveraged option-obviously not Argo.Looking for somewhere to put crypto gains in the crypto space.

Also don't get it. India is world's second biggest population and major emerging economy. People get too subjective in investing. To suggest India is inherently risky is people's prerogative, although daft in my view. Objectively, however, if you are spreading risk you need some exposure to the subcontinent. Up another 2% today btw.

Also rate Jupiter India. In fact, last couple of L&G divs gone there.

Fidelity Global Dividend also doing very well.

I really didn't like JPM because of centralising, egocentric, authoratarain tendencies.

However, the more time I spend talking to friends and relatives the more I understand their adulation.

The guy did stuff, banged heads together, tore up contracts, cared a lot about his country and its people and little about himself.

I've patronised them, said but he was a primtive caveman who didn't understand the modern world etc.

However, on this last trip I realised that its me who has missed the point, not them.

Your comment about him winning the election in2015 misses the point.

He was always going to win because of the CCM. The battle he won was to be selected ahead of a load of corrupt party placemen in the CCM.

....almost certainly died of Covid. A very misunderstood figure in the West. Incredibly popular among ordinary Tanzanians because he got things done and cared about rooting out corruption. Although the official line is that he had heart problems, a lot of Tanzanians believe there was something sinister about his death and they have been deprived of their champion.

Credibility? Harchris has more credibility across the boards than you could ever dream of CC, Check out the ARB board, guy went toe to toe with the crypto loonies and is now respected as one of the best posters on the board. What does 'best' mean. He forensically analyses companies and the macro background and usually gets it right, Unusally, admits it when he gets it wrong. There are posters you could attack here, but with HC you are wide of the mark.
