Gordon Stein, CFO of CleanTech Lithium, explains why CTL acquired the 23 Laguna Verde licenses. Watch the video here.
Also don't get it. India is world's second biggest population and major emerging economy. People get too subjective in investing. To suggest India is inherently risky is people's prerogative, although daft in my view. Objectively, however, if you are spreading risk you need some exposure to the subcontinent. Up another 2% today btw.
Hi GS,
This is very off-topic. I lived in Tz for 6 years in 90s: married a Tanzanian, 2 of 3 kids born there etc etc.
Love the place , go back every year, fluent Swahili speaker etc etc.
Was there for 3 weeks recently,
I really didn't like JPM because of centralising, egocentric, authoratarain tendencies.
However, the more time I spend talking to friends and relatives the more I understand their adulation.
The guy did stuff, banged heads together, tore up contracts, cared a lot about his country and its people and little about himself.
I've patronised them, said but he was a primtive caveman who didn't understand the modern world etc.
However, on this last trip I realised that its me who has missed the point, not them.
Your comment about him winning the election in2015 misses the point.
He was always going to win because of the CCM. The battle he won was to be selected ahead of a load of corrupt party placemen in the CCM.
....almost certainly died of Covid. A very misunderstood figure in the West. Incredibly popular among ordinary Tanzanians because he got things done and cared about rooting out corruption. Although the official line is that he had heart problems, a lot of Tanzanians believe there was something sinister about his death and they have been deprived of their champion.
....a couple of months ago at 33p 60% down, Put the money into Rainbow. much better punt. Not sure what swung it for me , the desultory SP and feeling this company is being run by a bunch of clueless chancers, or the boring BB peopled by tedious idiots like Chinasyndrome.
Credibility? Harchris has more credibility across the boards than you could ever dream of CC, Check out the ARB board, guy went toe to toe with the crypto loonies and is now respected as one of the best posters on the board. What does 'best' mean. He forensically analyses companies and the macro background and usually gets it right, Unusally, admits it when he gets it wrong. There are posters you could attack here, but with HC you are wide of the mark.
if this hits 40p again I'm selling and putting the money into SHA or TGR. the truth is though the downrampers are laughable clowns if you actually look at this company objectively, it's a mining concession in Angola and an unbuilt processing plant in Hull. I'm 60% down, that doesn't bother me in itself. I have other investments 80% down. The issue is I can't see this company actually doing anything.
Noel-you've improved as a poster recently, more humane, more open. However, I have to tell you that Viable's credentials as a geologist are second to none. If you have being paying attention, you'll notice that he always tempers board ramping with a geological response: ergo, this is all just noise if we don't have rocks in the ground. Fortunately, it looks like we do.
Toptiger, you are out of your depth on this board.
Tullow were the authors of their own demise.
LTI- please could you explain the phrase 'hole of tepidness'.
It is not one I'm familiar with. It can't really be put under the rubric of malapropisms because it is impossible to fathom what you even think it means. Outside the LTI worldview, of course, it means nothing.
Great pushback Nomlungu. I was actually at Colchester General today with my wife, It's a disaster, although the peeps are doing everything they can, Nothing to do with diversitr training, 15 years of under investment.
Don't like Tories, never had, But I think Sunak is actually an OK human being trying to do the right thing.
The problem he has is that if you undervest in everything for ten plus years, when the **** hits the fan, there is nothing left. Everything is maxed out. Nowhere to go.
Whatever these Tory loons say, the last time we had a labour gov, they invested and there was some fat on the bone.
TFE if you really believe this you are dimmer than your posts suggest: but I don't think you are dim you just don't get it.
The market rules mate. Trussonomics LOL giving a name to an incoherent hodgepodge of idiocy as if it was a body of coherent thought- was kicked out by Mr Market. Any attempt to repeat will meet a similar fate. Messers Hunt and Sunak, unlike the editors of the Mail and Express, are bright boys and they know this.
