Roundtable Discussion; The Future of Mineral Sands. Watch the video here.
Jacob Rees Knob, as he stands overlooking the serfs on his feudal lands in Somerset, backs up her claims that more graft is needed. These geniuses have cracked it. The answer to all our economic woes, work harder and pretend their isn't a recession.
Truss is a swivel-eyed loon, and not very much more clever than your average Lloyd's share-holder. The idea that she could actually be chosen to lead this country is an affront to anybody who is reasonably intelligent and reasonably well-educated.
This is the reason why a lot of the dolts on this board support her.
Theorist, you are an absolute clown: you've just completely shot yourself in the foot; you couldn't argue your way out of a paper bag.
Yes, I post on Lloyds and so does Nomlungu. It is a massive company with thousands of retail investors and loads of posters on its BB. So if we both post on Lloyds, what are we hoping to achieve? Why are we doing that ?
Are we in a conspiracy to bring down the Black Horse or trying to make it gallop faster?
It's bleeding obvious mate why those posters all posted at a similar time, they were all reacting to the same piece of news. You know, the thing you promised us would never happen.
Theorist-for someone who appears to be remarkably intelligent and knowledgeable in some contexts, you are incredibly dim in others, I don't know anything about 2 of those posters: however, the two I mentioned are great posters who regularly contribute useful insights across many boards. Have you heard of cause and effect? Perhaps the fact that they posted at similar times is due to a real world event like ground being broken in Saltend? Did that occur to you ?
Clearly, it was not a coincidence, but neither was it sinister. It is very ironic that you have suggested they might be involved in some kind of illegal conspiracy. Have you heard of libel laws?
Rubbish Theo- Trojan and Nomlungu regularly post useful stuff across multiple boards.
The former never gives an opinion, just posts relevant material of value from verified sources across many, many boards and not just in this sector. Doesn't even say whether he is a holder.
The latter posts judiciously on a number of boards sometimes offering an opinion.
It says a lot about you that you are willing to traduce innocent third parties based on complete ignorance of any board other than this one.
Widen your research scope loser.
Disagree Pdub. IMO LS is an aggressive and sometimes unpleasant ramper. He is part of a group of posters who rarely contribute here, but when they do act like school prefects sorting out the wayward boys in the lower forms.
This may be contrary to the consensus, but as a mostly non-contributing reader, I think this board has improved immensely since certain posters have defected elsewhere. There is a balance of views and less censorship. I greatly appreciate your posts and those of Lindon, Chris Har, Ben AlderUKSteve, Paludina etc. However, I think the higher tolerance of critical posters-even when they are manifestly wrong- is healthy and an improvement.
LS thinks it's ok for him to drop in here and bash people on the head. I don't.
Done it on multiple occasions: your forays into history, politics and philosophy always ill-advised.
I defer to you on Lloyds and share ownership where you know a lot more than me.
However, on other subjects you don't even know enough to know when you've been owned.
He was forced by realpolitik and weight of numbers to hand in his notice: he was beginning to look like he needed a straightjacket.
Democracy in action-wayward megalomaniac forced out by wiser counsel.
I wake up every morning to reality, remember that you exist in cyberspace and then am grateful to have to go to work.
This week I have covid so can keep an eye on your malarkey and point out some of your more egregiously erroneous claims.
Correct me again, I cut you down to size last night.
You had no idea about the Lascelles Principles and had to go and look it up.
You think Johnson had a mandate from the British people and his removal was undemocratic: ergo, you don't understand our system.
What is absolutely hilarious is the way some people here who see themselves as very traditional, conservative and British know absolutely nothing about our country, its history, its politics and culture.
The worst two examples are Bertram and LTI who are complete ignoramuses: no idea whatsoever about British parliamentary democracy.
Nonsense Gateboy: although good news today. At last there has been some coordinated action against the people smugglers, and some success too. This should have been done years ago instead of dreaming up daft schemes in Rwanda and paying the French to protect the integrity of our borders.
Very true Gate, but we travelled through it to get from France to Italy. And were we detained at the border by any bureaucrats for any pointless paperwork?
No. But we were held up by bears of little brain at Dover the gateway to the greatest trading nation in the world:
GATEBOY- I spent 10 days on a coach tour in France, Switzerland and Italy about a month ago.
It didn't look like a mess to me.
It took us 3 hours to get out of the UK at Dover. The fools had designed some kind of bottle-neck so we waited for ages for one scruffy git with a hand held device to check our passports. That was to get out of the UK. Getting into France took 5 mins-three well-dressed frenchmen operating quickly and efficiently at their border
We passed seamlessly-with no stops-between France, Switzerland and Italy despite the fact we are no longer part of the EU.
Problem with Brexit is the same problem with Johno. Complete disconnect between the rhetoric and ability to deliver.
There is nothing to back Brexit up. No economic plans, no opportunities, nothing.
It's just a vapid slogan.
