I think it is important to note here that this news has generally crystallised what we all suspected for a long time. Indeed the market has been pricing this in for 2 years. What it has done is bring the reality out of the shadows and into the domain for any future investors. I seriously doubt Cameroon are happy to see this type of news out in the public domain when they are trying to get investors into the country. I suspect this will be resolved now much quicker than we think.
I think this is ok, at least its on the table now for discussion.. End game closer then ever..
I'll be honest and say it freaked me out and I just sold my last holding here at a small loss. I note , however, that the SP is now back up a bit (typical!) and I can't help thinking that CO must be familiar with this situation. Surely they could not go into Cameroon blind? I had had enough here, I guess and I wanted to put more into JLP while low anyway but still not sure I have timed this right at all. Good luck to those remaining. o
There's nothing positive to take from this. It's all getting very messy in Cameroon and they want their cake and eat it..............
On the face of it this is bad news. The positive to take from this is that something is happening behind the scenes. There will eventually be a compromise somewhere to be had so we could finally start to move out of this range higher.
I am hearing it was based on a meeting over the weekend between BLVN and New age.. Still trying to find out if it happened..

That spike was nice whilst it lasted .
Ok not "and counting"
In auction for thev first 5 mins of trading and counting ???
Another one of the many KH cock - ups.
Hope you're doing well there. We will have to wait for Biya for any rise in the SP here. Faffing about with a few tens of millions for a divi will be counter-productive. Meanwhile in Kenya Tullow finding more oil. (we coulda been a contender) http://www.rigzone.com/news/oil_gas/a/150176/Tullow_Hits_Oil_at_Kenyan_Well?utm_source=DailyNewsletter&utm_medium=email&utm_term=2017-05-25&utm_content=&utm_campaign=Exploration_3
Hi Rivendell, no I didn't buy back in as I felt more comfortable trading the likes of BP, that said I still think the LTH are more likely to see a good return on their investment with COC in charge than KH and his friends. I think things will stay as they are regarding the SP for a little while yet as COC will want to make sure the deals they are putting in place are solid (unlike the previous bunch). Once initial news has been released I fully expect news to come in thick and fast with the SP rising accordingly. Good luck to all of the LTH, I have a feeling the wait will be worth it.
Just to break the boredom, did you manage to get back in before the rise to the mid 30's? I remember you sold out after the AGM. p.s. LNG has had technical advances too. Lots of options on the table for when Biya (or his successors) eventually put the good of the country first and get those gas powered power stations kitted out.... https://www.wartsila.com/media/news/27-03-2017-wartsila-partners-in-important-jettyless-lng-transfer-concept
Current indications show otherwise
34p looks like it will come very soon.. lets see if we can base there for a while.
Looks like we will be in for a very long wait to see any of that cash back, i think this company is going almost into hibernation for a while....
looks like a move back up to 34 is on the cards.. Lets not forget COC bought 15 million shares at 34p..it would take less than 3 to take us back there now.. looks pretty thin on the way up..
The newly allotted shares announced recently have diluted COC's shareholding. They haven't sold a single share.
An event changing the breakdown of voting rights ??
In which case taking this huge one-off hit on salaries makes no sense?
Bowleven will not be around in a year.. it will be sold ... I still state that, it has already been agreed.. 56p is my view all in..
that's still at least a year before they are cash positive from doing that. I thought BLVN would not be around in a year - if you believed what they tried to feed us!
10million shares awarded without clear goals for payment? cost cutting? sp value was expectimg bod payments if sp gets over 75p at least st so looking more and more that coc will control the sp and the best outcome will be 38/40 if they buy the company and maybe nothing if they run share options for the bod for the next few years? only hope is revenue starts to flow from vog and new age activity and then we get bought at a decent price!!
