Patrick started helping the Conservative Party at the end of the second world war. He helped his Mother deliver leaflets in that general election and has helped the Conservatives in every election since then. He joined the Young Conservatives in 1956 when he was 15, and became chairman of the YCs in Yardley in 1959. Patrick was Chairman of his University Conservative Association in 1964.
In 1990 he became Chairman of his ward and subsequently Chairman of the Cities of London and Westminster Conservative Association in 1992. Patrick has been President of the Association since 1994 in addition to running the Two Cities Luncheon. The Luncheon has had all the Party leaders of the last 50 years as Guests of Honour and has raise very large sums for the Party – in excess of £100,000 some years. During his tenure as Chairman of the Association it enjoyed a strong swing to the Conservatives while there was a national swing to Labour. During this period the Association recruited between 350-400 new members each year.
His great Grandfather was an MP and his late cousin, Lord Evershed (the then Master of the Rolls) was a member of the House of Lords.
Patrick has worked in the City since 1997. Over the last 35 years he has been a unit trust fund manager, and for much of this time, he has been top, or near the top, of the performance tables. Between November 1999 and November 2004 the fund he ran was the top performing UK Unit Trust.
Patrick was awarded the CBE for public and political service in June 2019.

It has been replenished, at least in part, by a surge in sales of its ground coffee and beans at supermarkets. In its home market of Italy, coffee sales shot up by almost a quarter in the first week of lockdown, while Britons spent £24 million more than usual on tea and coffee in the first three months of pandemic restrictions. In the UK, where Lavazza has a 4.9 per cent share of the market, its sales were up 15 per cent last year.

Whats interesting is in the interview is the Bio Plastic division made a 0.9 Million loss , which is much higher then i thought.
So the question is how much in the Bio Plastic division need to break even , be helpful if this could be calculated.
We could use the last 3 years accounts to get a rough figure ; any ideas will be helpful
That's why it was interesting to see a profit forecast.
Problem is the Bio plastic margin is small , so will need to grow.
Be interesting if volume of product increases margin but suspect we need at least 80% growth to cover the other business.
lol
Got a feeling this one is going to post twice now.
The forward looking statements read well. There's a large pipieline of new bioplastics customers. 40% annual growth expected this year and next. Finaly, if I'm reading it right bioplastics should turn profitable this year with a 10% to 12% margin.
Great thanks basscadet
