The 20% return being: 8% interest and around a 10% return by selling shares in the 130s compared to issue price of 119p
@moneysponge I think around £40m of the convertible loan note is left. You can trace through the RNS history to see when Avacta issues new shares to cover the principal and interest payments. I believe HCI then sell some of these to recover their money. The shares are issued at around 119p so likely they are selling for a modest profit. As the bond itself is giving them around an 8% return, they're likely getting almost 20% a year by selling down shares at the moment.
Hey guys do you think the CEO videos really make an impact anymore? we need news as the bitcoin rally needs a rest, when do you think its coming?
Disproportionate reaction imo
Looks extremely positive and just one that's been hit by Justin Waite and his club selling out.
Anyone tried opening a spread bet on Avacta today? Spreadex seem to be 'close only' and you can't go long at the moment?
7x oversubscribed placing. Opportunity to buy in close to those levels again. fair to say everyone is taking advantage of it with potentially game changing news ahead. enjoy the ride guys.
Looks like there's been 750k traded this morning in the first 10 mins. That's half the average daily volume. Plenty of buying round here but must be a lot to shift at 104. Can still sell at 103.5 though which is a good sign.
Might be a nice little xmas present for traders as the hype escalates
what's the auction saying at the moment?
FUUUUUUUUUUUUCK WHAT A SHIIIIITSHOW OF A COMPANY! only joking but youd think so reading this board. have a day off guys!!
Tygra tygra its a Friday, you need to relax, smile and have some optimism juice
About £50k of sells this morning. Must be Michael Taylor exiting or maybe Myles McNulty after his twitter pump failed
smallpeynus why are your comments so boring? trying to get a better entry price or just bitter?
Anyone got a sense of the opening price or an updated finncap note?
Will we be the next lucky ones if everyone writes @elonmusk on Twitter about this ;)
On a more serious note again a fantastic presentation by AV and now we're over £100m market cap it'll be attracting some bigger names. Onwards and upwards towards those broker target prices hopefully.
Really close to a £100m market cap now aswell. Some funds which cant invest below £100m could be getting involved very soon which would drive this even further.
I wonder this too, is getting a little late, no?
The YouTube video was really good - with that kind of marketing I can see institutions getting very interested. Tin, lithium and strong ESG focus is excellent.
perfect share to short. they sold the wrong part of the business at a discounted price and are now left with nothing. finished company get rid of the CEO AND BOARD
