I have to say, this is an interesting topic, when some companies seem to have handled the Woodside allocation with ease (ii for example) and other have not HL for example. Watch this space as other investors pop up and confirm or shout for help.
Bottom line, if some firms can do, what should be a simple transaction, why can't they all ?
Maybe this is time to re evaluate who you do your investing with ?
Explained to my broker the rationale behind the deal, the Woodside London listing and so on. They said that's all very well but that the Woodside entitlement credited to me was ASX listed stock. Can't hold that in my account therefore sold for cash.
Kind of defeats the object of the exercise if this turns out to be the case for many holders - why couldn't they arrange for entitlements based on the new London listing ? Oh well.
HL - not had mine
Any Hargreaves Lansdown received theirs ?
had woodside credited to my ii account. sold
Hello,
anyone else trading with Barcalys Smart Inv ?
Can you see your Woodside share this morning ?
Actually, have you recieved any comunication about the operation ??
I hold HFEL too, abd from May have seen them go TOP holding weighting with BHP.
Just thought i put it out there, though MYI, has reduced it from top 10 holdings.
I do believe this has not been disclosed yet, but will be, on Monday 6th June, when it floats on the London stackmarket.
Does anyone know the UK ticker code for Woodside when dealings start in London on Monday
i meant *Monday we might recieve our entitlement of Wopey stock
us in UK will be receiving ours i believe on Tuesday as it’s a bank holiday here?
i saw in US BHP Adr stock rise 6.5% today, suspect ppl selling Wopey and buying more BHP stock.
I'm with Barclays Stockbrokers Investment ISA. No sign of Woodside shares yet when I checked last night. I expect they will show on Monday, hopefully! I've been holding BHP since 2010, which has split my original holding of one share into 3 shares: BHP, S32 and WDS during this time. Been an interesting ride what with the Samarco tragedy and share price fluctuations but I am glad I have stuck with them and I intend to continue to hold. Good luck to all holders.
Interesting, mine are not showing yet in ii, but I guess they are having to do it manually and so it will take some time. If they don't show on Monday I'll query it with them.
Yes, I'm with ii, and now showing in the account. The number of Woodside shares (expected number of shares correct) but no value to the shares. I'm sure this will come in the next few days.
Panic over, just need to let the process (whatever it is) kick in.
Happy days.
I’m with ii. Woodside now showing in my account. Shares quantity is showing, but no values as not trading yet. Assuming that will change on 6th June.
Just got letter from HSBC - it looks like they will be crediting my account with cash to account for assets merged with Woodside . They state the fact that Woodside are on the ASX.
They appear to ignore the fact or not know that Woodside will be quoted on the London exchange next week.
New shares on LSE June 6th according to the RNS
Quote from todays RNS :-
BHP has paid the in specie dividend and distributed Woodside shares today in line with the details described in BHP's announcement on 20 May 2022. As a result, BHP has now distributed Woodside shares to eligible BHP shareholders.
I'm with ii too. No sign of Woodside shares yet. Having said that, it often shows up sometime in the afternoon.
I'm keeping a watchful eye on this issue, as ii do not have a good track record with BHP, since they demerged from the FTSE100. For example, they don't automatically re invest the dividend any more.
BHP shareholders received one newly issued Woodside share for every 5.5 BHP shares
Halifax share dealing - nothing
Today's RNS says mid-June so not expecting anything today myself...
Anyone seen these shares appear in their account yet? I am with ii and they are normally quite quick but as they are AUS shares maybe it will take a few days to sort out and be credited to individual accounts. They don't seem to be listed in London yet either, which it was rumoured they would be but maybe I am looking in the wrong place.
So, big day tomorrow, we all get Woodside shares.
I'm unsure to accept or not, any thoughts on the matter? If not accept, it's a sell.....
Interestingly BHP's neighbour is UK listed UFO Alien Metals.
BHP boarder the south of UFO's Hanc0ck project and also prospects BHP15, BHP19 and BHP20 boarder UFO's Brockman tenement.
UFO's Iron Ore tenements were originally picked up in a ballot. In Australia when more than one company applies for a licence it goes to ballot. BHP, RIO and FMG had all put their name in the hat at the time of the ballot and UFO won.
They were just featured in the Daily Mail's Stock Watch explaining how valuable "Direct Shipping Ore" is:

BHP (Mkt Cap £126.9 billion) and UFO (Mkt Cap £30m) should do great during the commodities supercycle.
I got board watching the price, and bought another 272 this morning. This is against what i’m saying to myself, but it’s profits from elsewhere, so now have 772 now.
What is everyone else’s weighting in commodities?
Miners / Oilies sits at 15%
Funds 20%
IT 5%
Consumer Goods 20%
Healthcare / Biotechnology 20%
Real Estate 10%
Financials 10%
since Feb, my portfolio has grown 19.4% against the ftse.
